We called in to tourist information centre for a free map of Eastbourne, staff friendly and helpful. There are bits and bobs to buy books,cards, fridge magnets, tea towels all sorts. There are lots of road works going on in the area as of 30/4/19 !

Last week I visited the tourist information centre in Eastbourne to buy tickets for Dan Snows visit and I just wanted to make an observation. I was served by a member of staff who I felt could have been a bit more friendly. Although she appeared to be fairly professional and attended to me with my request and I was happy with her helpfulness I do feel that it would have been nice if she had smiled a bit more. I do appreciate that at times it is probably quite a difficult job as most jobs can be dealing with the general public with all their demands.But if you are working in this environment you need to be more open and friendly so that the public are encouraged to re-visit another time. Overall the staff are very helpful but on this occasion I felt that I needed to comment.

This is a fairly standard and rather boring Tourist Information Centre without any frills but will certainly be able to answer any of your queries. Situated in the centre of Eastbourne it is full of leaflets and helpful staff so should be a good starting point for your visit to the town. Don't expect any of the extras such as a huge display of trinkets for sale or costly exhibitions of local crafts.
