The information centre is worth visiting and they can give you a lot of information on the surrounding areas, as well as Eastbourne. You can also purchase good rate rail tickets to London and bus tickets to Brighton, which are good value for money.

I spoke to a very professional, polite and she came across on the phone a caring lady called Helen at this establishment. Helen explained to me what she had available to send me in the post including free of charge maps and paid maps that I requested. I explained to her we had visited Eastbourne this year and we had such a rexing holiday at the beach but we want to travel by train to visit other places when we return next year.

We visited the ETIC on the first morning of our break. It was quite centrally located and had the additional advantage of being next to public conveniences. We only needed a local map but other services were on offer too. Very useful visit.

We walked from the seafront to the Tourist Information Centre on a Sunday morning. The shops were open, the charity shops were open, the Metro Bank was open, when we got to the TIC, shut - does not open on a Sunday - shame on you when you are busy sea-side tourist area.
However we returned on Monday morning and the member of staff that we spoke to was friendly and very helpful.

Situated close to the entrance to the Arndale centre. They have a very useful free street map of the local area, nicely marked up with the main tourist attractions. There are lots of leaflets about attractions fro all over the south east and London. They also have a selection of tourist type gifts for sale.

Until we came here to shelter from the rain, we did not realise just how much goes on in Eastbourne. Something for everyone, except in January.

Helpful staff can not detract from its terrible location (needs to be nearer the station). However the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and the shop contains some items looking for last minute souvenirs. If you are new to Eastbourne this is a handy port of call.
