Me and my boyfriend came here after he said about a good previous visit and I was not disappointed! We shared a Greek meze menu which was so generous for 2 people, definitely enough to share between more! The element of surprise as to what dishes we'd receive was good too! All the food was piping hot and utterly delicious.
Service was a little slow but polite nonetheless.I'd definitely return!

Lovely, friendly, busy restaurant which has a large-ish menu filled with simple but delicious food. Dinner and Lunch both good.
The Meze Menu is fabulous value for money (lots of food!!) and the wine very reasonably priced.Staff are friendly and professional.
Nice atmosphere.Often busy, so best to book!

Went for lunch on a rainy, grey day visiting Eastbourne. We felt lucky to have stumbled on such a pleasant restaurant. Sat in comfy big banquets in the window even though we were only two. Good traditional menu - fresh and delicious and nicely presented with plenty of vegetarian options. Great greek beer served in ice cold glasses and very honestly priced. Perfect for lunch and waiting staff very efficient and available.

I have visited this restaurant four times, three lunches and once for dinner. Each time the food and service was well above average. Chicken and pork suvalaki and the meatballs are my favourite dishes. All family members enjoyed the experience and we would visit again. Great.

Visited Gr/Eat for a works party, the service all evening was brilliant, the staff were all friendly and inviting. We had pre-ordered our meals and they all came out as one and nothing was missing or wrong (we were a large group!) The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, we had a mixture of vegans and vegetarians also and they were catered for. The drink options were also good with large varieties. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff definitely helped create a brilliant atmosphere during the evening by being so friendly and smiley. Would definitely visit Gr/Eat again, looking forward to trying more of their menu! Great place for a party event.

Excellent meze for £19,90 pp, food was very fresh and tasty, the servers were very pleasant and knowledgeable about each dish. The wines appeared to be all Greek and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere in the restaurant,

They have a good range of dishes available on the menu including plenty of options for vegetarians. Also an option to go for mezze. We chose to order our own, food was served quickly and nice fresh ingredients. Staff were helpful and friendly and made good recommendations. Slightly higher priced than other Greek restaurants we know but enjoyable meal close to the seafront.

Members of the Sovereign Harbour Rotary Club here in Eastbourne had organised a Social evening at this restaurant and some 28 of us almost took over the place for the evening.
We decided to stick to the Meze meal and I must say it was really something to enjoy, the food was of a really high standard of quality and I must say quantity. We just could not believe the amount of food that was included in this option.
We all had a great evening with good food, good company and tremendous service from a great staff.

After enjoying a meal here previously, I took my parents here and we were not disappointed.
The staff are very friendly and it has a wonderful atmosphere. The food was cooked to perfection, we enjoyed halloumi to start.
My parents had the biggest lamb shank as a main and myself and husband had the chicken skewers (I had asked for sirloin steak but they had ran out) thoroughly enjoyed. We were far to full for pudding so we had coffee.
It is a very clean looking/modern restaurant and would highly recommend anyone. From my previous visit we had the meze- amazing!! But do not have breakfast or lunch as there is so much food!!!!!

Visited here last night with my husband while on a weekend away in Eastbourne. We pre booked the table last week and glad we did as there were people being turned away as they were fully booked. I had the prawn dish in red wine sauce and my husband had moussaka. Both were delicious. Atmosphere and service fab! Thank you. Would highly recommend this place.

We ummed and aahed about where to eat on a busy, sunny Sunday in Eastbourne, but decided that as this place had outdoor seating and was busy, that it might be worth a try. The prices here are very reasonable, around £8 for a main course. We opted for two snacks - I had a pitta filled with chicken souvlaki, tsatsiki and fries which was extremely moreish and only a fiver! Service was brisk and very friendly. Would recommend this place and will definitely visit again in the near future

These people are so successful because they know how to run a good restaurant. The place is comfortable, the staff are friendly, the service is good and the food is excellent. The starters are enormous but I'd recommend the Dip selection for 2 to share with home-made hummus, taramasalata and tsatsiki - all really tasty and that's not always the case in relatively cheap places. The main courses are pretty large as well but leave room for some ouzo with your coffee. Greek red wine is sometimes a bit dodgy but the house wine is absolutely palatable. I think you might need to book in summer as we got the last table on a Friday night in August just before 7 PM but that is worth doing for a delicious experience.

After a few beers we dropped in for a meal. We chose a Meze for two. It was huge. When we thought we'd finished the main course arrived. We ate half. And didn't manage the sweet!

This was our third visit to Gr/Eat but the first for an evening meal. The restaurant is beautifully laid out with spacious tables amongst lovely Greek produce available to buy. The menu is varied with plenty to choose from. We had Greek dips to start followed by Marinated lamb chops and Lamb Shank. These were both cooked perfectly and it was a nice touch to be able to see through to the busy kitchen. We've also had lunch here and they offer a fantastic meze menu, just make sure you're hungry! Thank you Gr/Eat we'll be back.

We have now been 3 times in the last year and each time had a fantastic meal. However each time they have had no gluten free pita bread. So guys take if off the menu it's no longer an option as 3 times is too much of a coincidence.

We've travelled a lot to Greece and the Greek Islands and love the food. Tried to get in here for lunch but too busy. Luckily we got in for dinner the night before. Everything was delicious. The portions were very big and we did over order as thought the mezes would be like tapas, but they were much bigger. The tziki tasted just as we remembered it from Greece, the courgette fritters tasty and filling, the Greek salad delicious, as was the baked feta and tomatoes. Service was speedy, the music authentically Greek, which added to the whole experience. A great find in Eastbourne.

Once again we had a fabulous meal at this restaurant. We ordered our mains with Greek salads, our waitress said mains would take approx 20 to 30 mins so did we want to have Greek salad first. We did and salads were so fresh and tasty. Mains were two moussakas and two chicken souvlaki with rice and chips. Couldn't fault them, freshly cooked and great ingredients. Don't delay, get there soon, it's worth it.

This is a little gem of a restaurant, which we came across it quite by accident. Not particularly wanting to use our brain cells, we ordered the Greek Menu (for two).
We finished the starters and Meze dishes that were provided - and thought we were done - they then brought out the Main dishes! Needless to say, we had to roll out way out of Eastbourne...
Good quality food with attentive service. Yes, the decor could do with a spruce - but given the food - who cares?

This restaurant is only a year or so old, and in a climate where eateries don't seem to last long, this one is doing things right and deserves to succeed. Friendly staff, personal attention from the owner, and gr/eat food. The picture in the header is the prawn saganaki - my absolute favourite. I've had it three out of the four times I've been there! My husband tries different dishes, and we've been with friends who've had different things, and everyone pronounces everything delicious. If you're too full for dessert you can get baklava to take home at the deli counter at the back. One small criticism is that a few of the chairs have been put together wrong, with the back rungs curving in instead of out so they are uncomfortable. A waitress told us they realised they were wrong, but considered it unlucky to change them! Provided the place isn't too full, just swap chairs if you're unlucky enough to get a back to front one.

We visited the restaurant as a party of seven including three children aged four, eight and fourteen. Staff were very pleasant and the restaurant itself is nice. We went for the lunch specials and there was something on the menu for everyone and I must say it was pretty good value. I had the vegetarian moussaka which was delicious. The only thing I would say is that the service was quite slow ... other than that a very nice lunch and we'll return one evening for a meze :-)
