What can I say that hasn't already been said? The best meal by a country mile during my visit to Eastbourne! I'd be there every night if this restaurant was on my doorstep.
A meze was our chosen option and it was a delight! The food just kept on flowing.....just as much as the ouzo!The appetisers were plentiful, the breads and dips delicious, and just when I thought I couldn't eat any more, our main course came out! A beautiful, melt in your mouth beef dish, and a mixed meat souvlaki. A three course meal, which at just under £20 a head is an absolute must at this lovely little restaurant!

We had a family lunch here while on holiday.
Very generous portions, honest prices and smiley service.

Visited here with my mum and the food was delicious! Lamb and beef mains cooked to perfection, with both meats soft and tender. Greek house wine was palatable too. However, the service felt quite rushed and we had to ask to see the menus 5 minutes after being seated. Granted, it was busy in the restaurant but, still, the service felt impersonal and we had to perservere to get the waitress' attention to order. Overall, a very good meal but we have received better hospitality in other restaurants in Eastbourne this week.

I have been to this restaurant for the second time now and have to say how much we all enjoyed ourselves, its a busy place with a nice atmosphere, I had the humous and taramasalata dips to start and the whole grilled fish with hand cut chips as my main absolutely lovely !! The others had the grilled lamb chops really good so all in all a lovely evening had by all. The staff and owner were very attentive I really can recommend this place

An impromptu visit to Eastbourne lead us to this busy bistro which was just brilliant.
It is probably recommended to book as we only got in by there having been a "no show".

Best meal we had in Eastbourne this weekend. The salad was fresh , vegetable mousakka so tasty I'm still thinking about it. Felt like I was in Greece- very nice atmosphere. The manager seemed stressed he clearly keeps an eye on everything to make this establishment run so well. The waitresses the friendly & welcoming. It is popular so make sure you book before going. We will certainly come back the next time we are in Eastbourne.

We stumbled upon Gr/eat in search of a light lunch and enjoyed our wrap and Greek salad so much we went back to sample the Mezze the following day (the last day of our holiday). This was utterly sumptuous and such a treat. Amazing value and course after course of fresh food cooked to perfection. The beef was melt in your mouth delicious. Definitely no space for desserts.
I'd recommend the house rose, which was excellent value, served by the glass and the Greek coffee which was moreishy smooth, rich and chocolatey.The restaurant also captured an authentic Greek ambience. We could almost imagine we were there.The service was delightful and charming. Outstanding and highly recommended.

Excellent food. Nice Greek taste. Good service. Large portions. Good prices. Hardly recommended. The best restaurant in a crowded street with several moderate places to eat. My advice to the owners was to add fish.

Came across this restaurant while looking strolling round Eastbourne looking for somewhere to have lunch.We were attracted to it by its clean modern frontage and welcoming outside area.By the time we had finished lunch we had been transported to Greece. We enjoyed the best greek food we have had outside Greece. The owner was very welcoming and the food was excellent.We enjoyed greek salad,stuffed vine leaves and calamari ,everything was well presented and very tasty.We then sat outside with a glass of wine and enjoyed the sunshine.If we closed our eyes we could have been back in Greece. A very good lunch, lovely wine,friendly welcoming staff and good value for money. Would not hesitate to visit again when visiting Eastbourne and hopefully try the evening menu.Lots of people were coming in to book tables while we were eating so obviously very popular .

I was persuaded to visit this restaurant by a friend who is Greek and who wanted some authentic Greek food. We arrived in time to enjoy the lunch/afternoon menu, which was available up to 5.30. The food was typically Greek and was served as small courses which just kept coming. It was delicious and very filling, and priced very reasonably at around £12 each. The restaurant was clean and nicely furnished and the staff were attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The owner could not do enough for us, made our time here fantastic and even taught us some Greek dancing!

The restaurant is clearly a popular one so we ended up downstairs where there was a noisy hen party. The owner immediately looked for a table for us upstairs but warned us of the noise upstairs as well. The acoustics may not be great and the happy customers make for a noisy place, its all made up for with the food and the warmth of the owners.
Everything we had was just wonderful and well prepared. The husband and wife team who own the restaurant are warm and accommodating.It definitely isn't the best place for a quiet romantic dinner but would be fine with kids or anyone willing to sacrifice quiet for a fun, active, great greek.

All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and it was nice to see the owner talking to customers, making sure everything was OK, and serving. Definitely a hands-on boss and his staff are a great asset to him and his business.We decided to have the meze meal and the dishes just kept coming, and coming, and coming ... and then we found out that was just the starters with two main courses to follow! But the food was lovely, freshly cooked/prepared, and a great experience. It was a fun way to try various different dishes at a very reasonable cost.
We will definitely return but perhaps narrow our choice to just a few items, unless we're feeling REALLY hungry!One word of caution - in order to avoid disappointment please book in advance as it is very popular and does get busy.

What a fantastic restaurant. So pleased we booked a table. Wonderful traditional Greek food at its finest. Thanks to the most attentive staff and manager who made our visit that special. Eastbourne is very lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant. We will certainly have to come back here. Would highly recommend Great Greek.

My wife and I eat out regularly in Eastbourne and have got a little bored of the same old average restaurants with average food.
This place has got us excited again.
Although we had 4 starters between us and a main course each. We still had food envy at all of the other dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen.
The service was friendly and prompt. They managed to squeeze us in at 6pm on a Saturday night as they were already fully booked when we phoned up that morning. (Always a good sign). Despite already being quite busy the service was very efficient, we were guided by the owner on what combo of starters to have. We were not disappointed. It was fresh, hot, flavoursome and plenty of it. Main course was even better. I had the beef and my wife had the lamb chops. What can I say but "out of this world". The bill was also very reasonable. I hope they don't take this literally but we would happily pay more for a meal this good.
I have no criticism about this restaurant whatsoever.
If we weren't full to bursting when we left we could easily booked again that same night. (If they weren't already fully booked).

Attended a dinner with friends in this hidden gem in the heart of Eastbourne. Although I have visited many Greek restaurants (and even worked in one) in Europe and US, this is the best Greek restaurant in U.K. I ever eaten. Tasted all the dips (Tzatziki and Taramosalata were great), tasted the Mousaka (very tasty) and had the Lamb Chops as an entree (simply amazing).
Honestly, bring your friends over and you won't regret it. A well deserved 5 of 5 stars.
