Enjoyed an amazing greek night with live music and dancing recently (think these are monthly events?). Anyway, the meze style food was lovingly prepared and just kept coming.... I think I counted around 20 different dishes and each one was very good indeed. Wonderfully timed service throughout and the waiting staff were all friendly and helpful. As the evening went on, one of the chefs came out of the kitchen to join in the dancing and the whole event felt huge fun and authentically greek. Amazing how everything ran like clockwork and yet all the staff seemed to be able to have time to enjoy the evening themselves. Brilliant! Do not miss!

We were in Eastbourne for my wife's birthday, as we walked into town, we saw quite a few empty restaurants. However, GR/Eat stood out as it was so busy. This was a good sign and am glad we decided to visit. Luckily there was a table just finishing up, so even though we didn't book we got a small table. We shared a salad which was good and then I had Chicken Souvlaki, which was juicy and very tasty and a healthy portion. My wife had moussaka and it was also very good. The staff were very friendly and attentive and I will definitely go back when in Eastbourne. Definitely recommend. The standard of food is very high.

We have been coming to Gr/eat on a regular basis ever since it opened. The food, service and atmosphere is always fantastic. The owner, Vasili, has got it spot on. Today (BH Monday) was no exception. The Chicken Souvlaki and the Moussaka were as tasty as ever, the restaurant was very busy and had a great buzz. My partner, who is greek cypriot really enjoys the music and says the cuisine is as good as his mother's. Praise indeed!

A very pleasant restaurant with a genuine Greek atmosphere, also selling delicacies including Greek honey. The menu is extensive and we had a selection of starters which were traditional. For mains I can particularly recommend the souvlaki dishes with perfectly cooked chicken served with both rice and chips. The fish was also excellent and obviously fresh. The desert of baklava was a little dry but overall the evening was a great experience. The owner is very personable and helpful as are the staff although they are no all Greek. The bill for 3 was around £70 including wine and this is a place well worth a return visit.

A meal to remember! This was authentic Greek food of a standard rarely seen in Britain. Our main courses of Bekri Meze (beef casserole sprinkled with mizithra cheese), Prawns Saganaki and an enormous Pork Souvlaki were delicious. The proprietor and the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. A real reat!

This was our first visit to this restaurant, but it definitely will not be our last! From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The food and service was fantastic, ( we all had the meze and went out feeling very full). We would certainly recommend this to anyone who is looking for traditional Greek food, at sensible prices, served by attentive staff to a high standard.

We held my husband's 40th birthday party downstairs in .gr/eat a few week ago & we couldn't have been happier. Vasilis was really helpful with all the planning & provided us with a fabulous meze menu.
Victoria and Liam were were also really friendly & helpful on the night. Would highly recommend .gr/eat and will definitely be back. Thanks a million Vasilis and all the team.

We tried to get in here last night but it was fully booked (we walked in off street) so tonight we tried earlier and wow!!

We were dropping my mum off in Eastbourne on Bank Holiday Monday and decided to try this restaurant - pleased we booked as it was full. Clearly lots of regular customers and I am not surprised. We had their Greek Meze Menu ; delicious and such good value. There was nothing we didn't enjoy but the taramosalata was probably one of the best we had ever tasted, and the filo trianges were yummy. The small plates were then followed by a beef stew and meat on skewers. All so tasty - shame we don't live near enough to come back for an evening meal!

Had a delicious chicken souvlaki here today, with chips and rice and lovely dip of yellow split peas. The chicken was cooked to order,beautifully, hot and fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Extremely good value, heap prices. We will go back and try their other mezes and dips too. Great for gluten free options too. We were pleasantly surprised as this restaurant is in a touristy bit of town.

We love Greek food and what a stroke of luck to find this lovely family run Greek restaurant just along from our short break hotel The Shoreview in Eastbourne.
Firstly the main man who I guess is the owner is thoroughly Greek in that he is constantly walking around clicking his fingers to Zorba The Greek and other great Greek music. He is totally engaged and smiles all the time and clearly wants a pleasant easy-going atmosphere which there is.
The food is great with as far as I could establish everything including lovely starters like houmous and taramasalata being home made. I had lamb shank (main) which was delicious if very filling so I could not manage a dessert.
In summary: ambience fantastic, food great, well run and easy to find.

We visited at 6pm on a very sunny Sunday and the owner was very friendly offering a choice of tables. We had Greek salad which was beautifully fresh and the Feta just perfect. Then I had lamb shank with rice and vegetables and my husband had beef which was melt in the mouth tender. As there was no children's menu, we ordered souvlaki for my son and the owner suggested a half portion for £4.95 but when it came it was still a very generous portion so this was very helpful.
The food and service was excellent and gave us fond memories of our favourite holiday destination in Zante, we will definitely return, a great find!

Food was delicious and of a wide range with good portion sizes for adult mains. Friendly staff delivered a great service in a modern and rustic setting. Only set back, no children's menu for younger sibling, ended up paying a bit more than we wanted for something she didn't like. Overall, will definitely return when we are in the area!

Great food. Stopped for a quick bite before seeing a show. Really helpful advice when we ordered a selection of Meze, so that we didn't over order. Had the house white wine, which was very drinkable. We're not from the area but would go back. Very freshly made and good value.

We ate here on Thursday late afternoon (after reading all the excellent reviews). The food was delicious, the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service was friendly and efficient! After eating our mezes and main dishes (chicken and beef) we ordered two different desserts. They were both excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant and intend to eat here on our next visit to Eastbourne!

Had a lovely meal today...sun was shining and made us feel we were back in Greece...chose from the lunchtime special which you got dip, meze or salad and main course....so as 2 adults and 2 children so we decided to take 3 of the specials....food was amazing and the service was brilliant.. sat outside....Greek salad fab....kids loved their chicken souvlaki and so did I...we will be back
