The park opens at 10.30am.

There is ample parking on site which is free.

We arrived at around 11am and had purchased tickets on line to make the entry a little faster. (Also we got 20% off booking on line). There wasn’t a line for “pre-booked tickets” Which I found frustrating. The line was long but moved reasonably quickly though.

It’s worth baring in mind that there are extras you can pay for at the kiosk. Such as bungee trampolines, animal feed and high rope walks. Inside they take cards at the shops and I didn’t need any cash.

The park is clean and well presented, staff are friendly and helpful.

There are various places to eat and ample picnic areas too.

There was a huge issue with wasps! Perhaps some insect repellent would be a good call before you start your day?! The park are clearly aware though as they have traps up to catch the wasps-so they are trying to manage this issue.

The castle play areas is, to use my kids words, “EPIC!!!”. Even I was impressed and went to explore the turrets and to find the dragon.

Kids loved seeing all of the hungry carp in the boating lake.

The paddling pool area is small but was enjoyed by all the kids. There is limited seating around the area for the adults.

The indoor Dinosaurs Adventure was great-but “some” children were turned away for wearing shorts. Although others were not. We had to purchase a pair of Jogging bottoms for one child in our party for £5, which was a little unfair as two others in our group had shorts on! (The reasoning behind the long trousers is to prevent friction burns from the large slides-so it’s fare enough but they should be consistent in the rules and there were not!) The kids had so much fun in this area. But it gets super hot so bare that in mind.

The sand pit play area was excellent and clean also.

The water slide was brilliant and clothes don’t get too wet which is a bonus if it’s chilly!

The children loved every minute of their time and it was money well spent. I think the prices are fare and the option to leave picnics in your car to collect later is really helpful.

We have been several times as there’s plenty for all ages to enjoy. We will definitely go back again.

You should go, I don’t think you’ll regret it!

A brilliant day out with the kids, well worth a visit. We will definitely be coming back again this summer. My kids loved the new adventure castle and boating lake. Inflatibal pillows, slides and indoor ball shooting area were all throughly enjoyed. I would advise bringing picnic as food there is OK, not great. Only downside were wasps trying to join in our lunch.

TESCO 3:1 scheme made it a very reasonable day out for 4! Under £20 for all of us

Knockhatch is like a mini zoo! It has lots of unique animals to look at and lots of rides to go on too.

Not been here for a few years, but decided to take my grandchildren for the day. I wasn’t disappointed. The children were happy throughout. (Although not 100% on the circus!!) I liked the variety of things to do, from activities, to the animals. There were lots of people checking on safety of the children, which I thought was good. Will definitely be returning.

First want to thank Luke and his colleague on the tree top climb. They were brilliant with my son and his friend when we had a few obstacles to overcome. Greatly appreciated thank you!
We are loving the owl sanctuary, new castle, indoor dinosaur slide area and the foam ball shootout place. It’s a great place to go and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit.

I just wanted to personally thank you for the help from your very kind First Aider when my granddaughter fell and hurt herself yesterday in the castle.

She was so kind, reassuring and helpful.

Fortunately she was discharged from the hospital late last night with no long lasting injuries. Back to her normal self this morning.

Once again thank you for your help

We had a large family get together at this park which we all enjoyed, they have plenty to keep the little people happy which in turn keeps the adults happy.
We visited on an extremely windy day and one or two adventures were closed due to the very high winds but they have lots of animals to see and some large slides indoors even if it rains.
We took our own food so did not buy any on sight even though there is plenty of places places selling.
Plenty of hand washing stations (needed because of touching animals) also plenty of toilets all welcome.

Visited today with a one and a 5 year old. I’ll be honest I was disappointed and I’m pleased I had Tesco vouchers and didn’t pay full price.

Positives -
The play areas are great, specifically the dragons castle.
All of the staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful and all asked how our day was going etc. . .
The kids enjoyed it which I guess is the whole point

Not so great -
There’s not much there for toddlers. The outdoor play area is great but in bad weather you aren’t left with much choice.
The runaway train simulator is a ‘haunted/ghost’ theme. There is nowhere advertising this and I would say is unsuitable for young children.
My biggest gripe is there is a lot to pay for once inside. I’d say you need to allow yourself around £15 extra per child excluding food. The bungee trampoline was £3, go karts £1 or £4.50 for older kids, digger ride £1, rock climbing £3 etc . .

That said the park is worth a visit but would suit older kids more - over 8 I would say and make sure you allow extra money.
You also definitely get more from this park with fair weather as in poor weather your options are really restricted

Visited in the school holidays and although very busy it never felt too much , a huge variety of activities for all the kids and very reasonably priced entry, we took 6 children aged from 3-13 and they all loved it , plenty of picnic tables for taking your own picnic and food to buy if preferred, lots to see and do including lots of animals and live owl displays , a boating lake and huge indoor slide area which does get very busy and was the only part that seemed a bit disorganised and chaotic , but on the whole a brilliant day and highly recommended

Loads to do and see here. Lots of animals to feed and adventure parks to explore. Prices are reasonable. I used some of my tescos club points and put towards the admission fee.
I do recommend this park for all ages!
The only down side to the park was no soap in the the ladies toilets and they were messy and smelly.
And there was wasps everywhere! beyond the parks control i guess but for me that was the worst part.
I would vist again next year.

We had family this weekend who had a son who was 8yrs old. There was plenty for him to do, so he had a good time. He went on the ride where the tractor pulls the cars around d with the children in it. he came off and said that he was the first in line and the whole time he had fumes from the tractor blowing in his face and so he didn't feel very well. I wrote to this company and they sent me back a very casual letter saying they will pass the information on. There was no apology for that at all. So be very careful if you put your children on this event. The restaurant was very grubby and every tray we picked up was oily and wet. I guess if you take a picnic with a family it could be a lot of fun.

Knockhatch seems to get better each year with new attractions.
I used my Tesco vouchers for a family outing of 7 adults and 7 children so it wasn't too expensive.
The new castle over by the boating lake is fabulous. It's huge with so much for all ages to see and do including the roaring dragon. Only minus point here was a boggy area which the kids seemed to gravitate towards forgetting to go around it. Needs to be sorted.
We were there for around 6 hours and didn't do everything. Kids loved the trapeze which is extra at £3 a go but thoroughly enjoyed even the 3 year old. The quadripilla is a timed attraction but great fun. The kids always enjoy the soft play. There is something here for everyone - indoor and outdoor play.
My husband came along later in the day after midday and couldn't park anywhere so he went home. It might be helpful to have someone on parking duties to help if it's very busy. Not sure what happens if you can't park - does everyone just leave?Aside from this I would recommend Knockhatch as a full family day out here.

We bought our tickets online -.2 seniors, a 7 yr old, a 5 year old a1 year old. Spent 6.5 hrs. enjoying the facilities. Kids loved it, we loved it and it was a great day.
Need to be aware of the boggy ground by the castle - we saw two very distressed children who fell. There should be some warning and this area needs to be roped off to prevent accidents. Management are aware of this.

This is such a great place with so much to do that we ran out of time! We went for a birthday treat, four adults and five children, aged 4 to 13.
My only complaint is, we paid for the climbing wall and the high ropes. The high ropes I think were quite expensive for the time you spent on them, considering the price we’d already paid to get in. Also, although the climbing wall was only £2 each, the amount of time we had to wait to go on was ridiculous. You get a long turn, around 15 minutes, however add on the time to put on the harnesses it’s longer than this! Therefore if there are only 3 people waiting in front of you the wait can be at least 20 minutes. They need to have more harnesses to reduce the turn around time and maybe shorten the climbing time.
We wasted far too much of our day queuing for the climbing wall! Will definitely avoid it next time as would love to go back.

This was our first visit to Knockhatch with our 9 year old Grandson and a 9 year old daughter of a very dear friend.
I can sum this up very simply with what I thought and that is MARVELLOUS.
It is a fantastic place with so much to do. The kids had a brilliant day. There is something for everyone from a daring water slide to walking through a Wallaby enclosure.
The Castle, all constructed from wood, is amazing.
I can't wait for his next holiday with us so that we can go again.

we were a group of 5 adults and 5 children under age 8. the young staff at the park go above and beyond to ensure every visitor has a wonderful time. it rained on and off all day but there were enough indoor entertainment areas to keep everyone amused.
the entrance fee is well worth it with most activities included in the price. would definitely visit again and once more would like to reiterate how great the staff are, they should all be commended.

I brought tickets on line and they give you a 20%discount! Excellent value for money!!

From the moment we got there staff were very friendly and welcoming, the animals you can see are well cared for. We went to the talks about the guinea pigs, snakes, turtles etc and the kids got chance to hold them and the young male staff there giving the talks that day on the 17th july were fantastic very informative and friendly!! You could see they cared for the animals and knew all about them and the care they need.

The park has various parks and rides all the way round and each one is well looked after and very clean. The kids loved each and everyone, the favourite was the big castle/fort, which was excellent

The boats were good plenty of room to row and can go as long as you wanted. The owl talks and show was very well done again thw staff there were fantastic

I cany say enough about this park or its staff they were brilliant! If im ever in the area again i will return 100% and have told everyone i know about this place.

Excellent value for money

We visited Knockhatch on Sat, 20th July. The reception staff are both young and welcoming. The animals encountered looked healthy and happy and you could go around and pet/feed them all. The goats and wallabys were a particular highlight. We watched a great owl display and the handlers James and Owen were knowledgeable and had an obvious delight in working with their birds. We then went off for the Meerkat feeding experience - which was superb. You really got up close and personal with the cute, inquisitive little creatures. They sit on your lap and shoulder and take food from your hand. It was an experience my son and I will never forget. James the keeper was exceptional and very much enjoys his job - mentioning that he came into work on Christmas Day to fly some of the his owls! There were plenty of activities to do at Knockhatch and the gift shop and food outlets were reasonably priced and certainly not a rip off. A fun day had by all. Would certainly recommend for adults with children of all ages, who enjoy being around animals large and small.

Booked online for the following day and the tickets were a great price. Went on a friday during school hours so not everything was on or on display but I respect that it's not a busy time. The weather was dull but didnt dull our day. Food reasonably priced and could easily spend the whole day there on a nice day. A few play areas which were fantastic!!!

We went to Knockhatch today with our friens and her daughter. We took advantage of their online offer of paying for the toddler and an adult goes free. So two mums and 2 toddler girls.

The first part of the park are the animals and you're able to get some food for them at the shop. The wallaby enclosure is the best and you can feed them and stroke them.

Unfortunately we arrived too late for the show and tell animal session, but after talking to another parent, we food out that the session was so busy full of school kids you wouldn't have got in.

That day we heard that there were over 400 school kids at the park. Fortunately somehow we managed to avoid them, (apart from the animal encounters part) probably because we were late. So we missed them at lunchtime too and all of the picnic tables were empty.

I think if there are school parties going to the park, they should have their own private animal encounters sessions so that members of the public can get to do it.

Or run more sessions.

Some of the rides you have to pay for (quad bikes, hi-trampolines, go karts) but most of the ones our little ones could go on you didn't have to.

One thing that they should add onto the Runaway Minetrain ride rules is that it could be scary to young kids (even if they're big enough to ride). I think (hope!) My daughter was too young to comprehend the film, but in hindsight I regret taking her on it. Silly me really, I can only blame baby brain.

The castle is a great addition to the park and they enjoyed trying to find the Dragon...until it moved! I don't think my daughter is a fan of anamatronic creatures! Meaning that (fortunately) we didn't go into the Dinosaur play barn (as there were more moving dinosaurs in there). I was quite glad as there were some scary looking slides in there!

Despite all of that, we had a great day. Highlights were playing in the water at Pirate's Cove and feeding the animals.

Take a picnic and buy an ice-cream for a treat. Brilliant day :)
