My wife and I dined there for the "umpteenth" time. As always needed to book but had a great meal and friendly service. Food great and I particularly enjoyed the gigantic fish soup. I often have melanzane as starter but need to be hungry as portion large. "Mine host" always comes to speak to us, and we often receive a "lemoncello" on the house. Ranks with La Bella Vista in Hastings which I recently reviewed.

Visited with my wife and a friend who was treating us to lunch. We decided to have the set menu which was a very reasonable price for either 2 or 3 courses. I started with the fried liver - it was so good. Main course was baby dover sole and again was delicious. We all had dessert and a complimentary glass of Limoncello followed. All in all great value for money with impeccable service. Certainly worth a vist.

Had a meal here on the Saturday night of our weekend stay in Eastbourne.
We had not booked, but were quickly accommodated. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious with very generous portion sizes!
The limoncello frozen shot at the end of the meal was the best I've ever had! I'd recommend to order it as a cocktail!

The entry doors are very heavy to open. It is pleasantly decorated but some tables are very close together, especially if you are a table for two. I went before Christmas and had the Christmas menu. The bread and olives provided to start were generous but they also fill you up. I had mussels followed by seabass. Well cooked and presented. Lots of potatoes. Are you beginning to get the idea? The restaurant was full at lunch of customers of a certain age. Staff were attentive and overall the impression and perception they go out to give obviously works. My third time here over a couple of years and never my choice. But if you like it fair enough.

Excellent authentic Italian plates, Italian staff, lots a space (don't usually need to book) and all at an affordable price. I recommend it. The portion size is also very generous.

Have been a regular theatre diner at this restaurant for many years and cannot recommend it enough, especially the prawn & asparagus risotto which is delicious and a firm favourite. Good service, friendly and welcoming always. x

Same excellent food as nextddoor but it is the same owner! This one is slightly more expensive but smaller and mainly adults.
