I've lived in Eastbourne for 5 years and never came across this place.A lovely warm welcome into this authentic Turkish looking restaurant. With a charcoal pit which they freshly cook your kebabs over, the meze starters were lovely and just kept coming. Aromatic flavours, good service. Great Birthday meal, lot of Turkish customers so you know it's good. Felt like I was on holiday. Definitely go again. 5 stars!!!

Was a birthday surprise for my father in law to be and couldn't ask for a better place to spend the evening, if you like Turkish food this is the place to go, cracking night, cracking food, awesome flavours, well worth a visit, definitely go back!!!!

We went to Meze with friends on Saturday life. I absolutely love Turkish cuisine having been on holiday there many times. We had been to Meze once before some months ago, when, although it was pleasant, I was a little disappointed as I found my choice of meal, (Guvec, lamb stew), rather "safe".
Anyway, this time I asked for the same dish, but asked if they could make it a bit spicy..........It was absolutely perfect....very, very tasty, but not so spicy as to blow your head off! All of us really enjoyed our meals. The waitress, (who had just begun working there), was charming, as was the owner. Overall, a really good meal, and I really recommend Meze. Just one piece of advice...... it you like your food spicy, just ask!

Its three years since we last visited Meze nothing appears to have changed , we were made very welcome by the owner and had a cold mixed meze to start which was very tasty , the usual pittas are replaced by Turkish bread which were lovely but probably a bit too filling , three of us had a mixed kebab the chicken and lamb were cooked beautifully , my 11 year old daughter had a chicken shish and thoroughly enjoyed it .not the cheapest place to eat at £100 for starters main two deserts and coffee and soft drinks for 4 but the food is superb and we all left very full and contented .

Went there last night (16th July) with our guests. As always the food and service were excellent. Good fun to watch the chef who cooks within the restaurant area. I reckon it's the best restaurant in Eastbourne. Always worth a visit.

Meze is an amazing experience. The open pit grill with the chef grilling away was so fun to watch. The grilled Halloumi, freshly baked bread, similar to Naan bread was delicious. The grilled chicken was gorgeous. If you like fresh food cooked in front of you and a friendly atmosphere, Meze is for you!

I have been in this little family run restaurant before many times. I must say its my favorite one for so many years. The food is good, service is very friendly and atmosphere is very authentic. I would recommend to everyone.

When I lived in London there were a lot of places where the food was cooked in front of you over a fire but in Eastbourne this is one of the only one's (at least as far as I know). I've been coming here for years and nearly always opt for the set menu Meze which is about £20. I always share this and buy another Meze to add to it and that's more than enough for 2 people. It's great, tasty food and the service has always been excellent too. Highly recommended.

Have been going to this restaurant for a few years now. Food is still as good as it has always been and cannot fault at all. Meze selection is a very good choice with fantastic flavours. Service is very good and staff are great. Only thing that lets the restaurant down is the toilet.

The Turkish food is really good, excellently prepared and cooked and the lamb cubes are particularly divine. The lamb is wonderful lean lamb prepared over 5 days and processes to make it very special. All cooked at a BBQ in the restaurant by a perfectionist chef.
It is worth getting the table right by the BBQ to watch the preparation and cooking. The manager is very friendly, attentive and obliging and will allow you to tailor the menu to meet your dietary needs or preferences. Been here lots of times. My tip is to eat the meat fairly quickly as it is served fresh from the BBQ as this is when it is at it's best and is incredibly good. The longer it rests the more ordinary it becomes. In my opinion it is best to stick to a one meat course for this reason. The multi meat course cannot all be eaten with the meat at its best. If this restaurant would serve a multi meat course as separate servings it would be a truly fantastic experience but they don't. Kuzu Sis is my favourite but it's all very good and very healthy.
The food here is limited to Turkish food mainly served with bulgar wheat so if you are stubbornly unadventurous then maybe not for you.I love it.

Went with a group of colleagues/friends, service was great. We just asked for a meze selection for 11 (our group size) and weren't dissappointed, more than enough food, good selection and reasonable price, including wine (which was a lot)

The Food Was Outstanding cooked fresh on the charcoal we had chicken, lamb kofte bulgar wheat & salad it was well spiced not too greasy and you left feeling like you had eaten healthy wholesome food.
It Came to About £110 for the four of us which seemed a little pricey at the time but we did have 12 bottles of beers.
My only regret is I did not book the nice cusioned table by the window.

If I moved back to Eastbourne I would be in here every other weekend.

If you want great freshly cooked food this authentic Turkish Restaurant will not disappoint you.We have been there many times and never been let down, the food and service is exceptional. Its a great place to dine with friends, go for the Meze to sample the delights of the menu, everything is freshly prepared from the Starters, Main dishes and deserts which are made and served by this family run restaurant.

Great Turkish food at this place, we occasionally pick up a take away from there. They are just round the corner and are always very accommodating. If eating there the open grill is a good centre piece to the restaurant and the service is always very attentive.

This is the perfect place for everyone. The food is freshly cooked over the coals in restaurant and the bread baked in the oven. There is something for everyone.
Carlos and his family so their best to make you welcome and will answer any queries you have about the menu. The set meze meal is great so you can have a taste of many of the items at the same time. On arrival, in the evening, you are served with hot bread and goats cheese, olives and a mini pizza all complementary and delicious too. Try the Turkish wine mmmm.

We turned up on a busy Saturday night having not booked. Thankfully we got a table. But I'd recommend booking. It's a lovely cosy restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was quick and friendly. We will be back

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night, the staff are friendly and attentive, I loved that we could watch the food being cooked.
They did mess up our order slightly and the vegie mousakka was more a ratoullie but very tasty but no great drama.It was nice to pretend to be back in Turkey for a while. Bill was just under £62 for both of us so average UK prices.
