We sat in the window table for my friends 30th Birthday and we had the most delicious meal. The quality of the food was outstanding. I had the lamb cubes cooked over the charcoal served with bulgar wheat, onion salad and pide bread it really was delicious!
My friends had a similar meal with either the lamb or the chicken and were all very happy with the quality of the food. Excellent service! feels like a welcoming family restaurant. We will definitely go again soon!

This is a lovely small restaurant, we didn't have a reservation but were lucky to get a table as it was very busy. The service was great and you can see the food being cooked right in front of you. The chicken mains were really tender, moist and flavourful and the portions were very generous.

It is just worth every penny. Around £13 for a main course, but it is big and enough for a really hungry belly:-) and yes you can see your food being cooked;-)

I have been eating in Meze since the day it opened about 11 years ago! The food is absolutely great! It is not the standard Turkish restaurant having same old dishes as everywhere else. Meze has different kind of recipes! The meat is melting in your mouth! Everything is delicious! I go there as often as I can as I love it.
Obviously the restaurant specialises in meat and
although there are fish and vegetarian options I still prefer to stick to my favourite lamb Iskender kebab! Try it! You won't regret!
Certainly recommend for any occasion - lunch, dinner, with friends, romantic, with family, birthdays whatever! I have been on every occasion and it was always equally great!

As a healthy living family it's tough to get good food on day trips.. Meze is a cool Turkish restaurant, the owners pretty sound, so all in all a good experience, we had the chicken & lamb kebabs, spinach yogurt starter and hummus, check it out

Treated our 13yr old grandson, at his request. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My Ali Nezik Kebab was fabulous and the aubergine base was so yummy. My husband and grandson really enjoyed there dishes too, not giving me much to sample. Attentive, welcoming and polite staff with the added bonus of watching our meal being prepared by the chef. We've been before and will certainly return.

!8 of us went to Meze for a birthday celebration. Carlos was so helpful at all times. The food was fantastic, service attentive and everyone catered for, vegetarians and children, too. Thank you for a wonderful evening and see you again soon.

Authentic Turkish cuisine, well prepared from fresh produce. Outstanding Bread from their Turkish Oven and cooking takes place on the Charcoal Grill in the restaurant. Small and friendly. Well worth a visit.

Being recommended by food lovers. Visited with my friend for my birthday present. Atmosphere was very nice. Waitresses were so nice. Food was so fresh and tender nice. I always go to same restaurant in eastbourne. Thai, Indian, steak house, Spanish,now I can include Turkish in my list.

I have written before about the lack of quality restaurants in Eastbourne. Having had Meze recommended to us by a couple of people we booked to go with some friends on a Saturday night.
The small restaurant was lively and buzzing for Good Friday evening - we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. We were offered pitta and an amuse bouche which was a nice touch before our starters came.
Meze also serves Turkish Efes beer which is lovely and a good find.
There is a great variety of choice on the menu and all the food is cooked in front of you at the barbecue pit. All of our food was fresh and delicious tasting. The lamb had real flavour and the grilled vegetables were juicy and had that lovely char flavour/texture. There was also real heat and spice in some of the food for those who want it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for delicious food, the friendly service and the great atmosphere. This is only the second restaurant in Eastbourne that I would definitely recommend.

As a regular visitor to Turkey for 3 decades to find a decent Turkish restaurant in my favourite town bliss! Been several times, watching the chef preparing and cooking is a bonus! lovely food and wine cannot be knocked the atmosphere is great, even shared our wine last time with complete strangers!
Will certainly be returning again, and again (shame my ex will not be with me, his loss :()

Fresh ingredients beautifully prepared, fabulous service and an authentic atmosphere make Meze one of my favorite restaurants.
The food is prepared and cooked over charcoal in the restaurant and open to view, and the bread is made fresh to order (Be careful when breaking into the pitas, they are full of steam).Quality is consistent.
