Its a bit of a patch work quilt but good remains nonetheless. Its not massive so it diesnt take long to get round. Aldi free entry with your National Heritage card.

A bit pricey (although you can explore the outer area for free). The inside is good and the audio guided tour makes it easy to interpret what you are looking at.

You can climb up some of the remains, which adds some interest, and you will learn about how the castle had a defensive role at various times from the Romans until World War II.

Beautiful and impressive historic ruins of the medieval castle built within the walls of an earlier roman shore fort. Lots of space for picnics etc around the castle and the site is owned by English heritage.

Great place to spend the day with the family, nice options nearby to eat and drink, healthy footpaths around. Parking is not for free but 2 pounds almost all the day is not bad.

Pevensey Castle Was Defiantly Worth A Visit. With Loads Of History, And Plenty Of Different Parts To Explore. On A Clear Day There Were Views Out To The Royal Sovereign Lighthouse, Eastbourne, Norman’s Bay And Polegate Windmill. I Would Highly Recommend Visiting If You Are Studying Or Interested In The Norman Invasion.
