We have been going to this place since it opened and have never ever had a bad meal. It is usually really busy so book a table to avoid disappointment. We love it here and will reccommend to anyone who loves italian food.

A good and very popular Italian restaurant.
We went early evening and it was busy but they didn't have to turn anyone away.
Good choice on the menu - excellent quality.
Plenty of staff all dispensing good cheer and service.

As a local in Eastbourne, we eat out often in town, and this, very close to where we live, is always dependable and safisfying. It is very clean, very nice service (all Italian), and the food never lets us down. We have also had many visitors who we have taken there, and again, top marks. It is ususally fairly busy, particularly before the shows start, so we often go just when crowds are leaving to get to a show. Always a nice "buzz" about it and very relaxed.

Found this restaurant when on holiday 4 years ago & went twice. This year on repeat visit to Eastbourne, decided to try it again. Not disappointed: just the same authentic Italian atmosphere, good value food & wines & competent friendly Staff. A minor problem was dealt with personally by the Proprietor and followed up by a free liqueur after the meal. Well, it was so pleasant, we went again the next night, just as 4 years ago. Don't miss it.

We came across this restaurant by chance. We thought all those people in there must know something we didn’t. So we booked for the next night, which was a Saturday. It was heaving! But despite this they managed to get the food out and maintained a high standard of service. Apart from this the star of the show is the food, which is simply the best Italian food we have come across - it is authentic and delicious and we hope to return to Eastbourne again, but this time just to visit this restaurant again. However we might choose to go there during the week and just hope it isn’t the chef's day off! By the way my wife is a vegetarian and there was a good range of dishes she could eat.

Go for the 2 or 3 course lunch - the choice of fare is good and all the food comes piping hot. We've probably been through much of the menu now as the choice never seems to change from one year to the next, but if you like it, then so what! Service is friendly - particularly from the owner who makes a big effort to come around and chat to every table.

Having lived in Ebourne for many years I never visited this restaurant, so on a trip back I took my friend for dinner here. It was OK, not great but certainly not bad. The bruschetta was ok, not the best I have had and my main was the same. However, my friend really enjoyed her food so maybe I picked the wrong thing. It was very busy and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The wine was awful (a Rose, can't remember which one). The bill was just over £20 each which I thought was reasonable. I will probobly go again and try different dishes.

We went here after a day of watching tennis. My friends had been to this restaurant before and told me it's really good. I chose a 3 course menu, with bruschetta to start, a pizza as main course and tiramisu as a desert. The restaurant is quite big, but it's still personal. Staff are very kind and the food was excellent. Will definately go back here when i come to Eastbourne.

There are quite a few Italian restaurants here but the only one worth going to is here, the food is superb! It's perfect for cheese lovers and the pizzas are so fresh and tasty. My dad usually has the seafood dishes and he says they are nice too so it's good for everything!
The service is quite quick but the only problem with the service is that the waiters are too attentitive, they come by your table every five seconds to ask if everything is okay. Once is enough thank you!
Money is good value too, not too pricey but definitely worth the quality of food, service and setting. Can be a little too busy and noisy though!

We come here several times a year with my parents who live in Eastbourne and 9 times out of 10 it is excellent. There have been one or two slightly less than perfect parts of a meal, but generally the food and service are very good. We occasionally go next door to their sister restaurant which is classified as slightly more up market but the friendliness of Pomodoro is what draws us back. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a friendly, reasonably priced and happy Italian restaurant.

We visit this place annually when we attend the Aegon tennis tournament in Eastbourne. It never disappoints!
The service is fast and friendly and the food is excellent. It's also fun because a lot of the tennis personalities from the tournament eat here. On the table next to us was British rising star, Josh Goodall and we recognized many other faces from the tennis world!
I started with the minestrone soup and Chris had the tomato mozzarella salad. I followed with sea bass with garlic and ginger, which was amazing!. Chris had the veal with lemon/parsley - DELICIOUS!!! We had a bottle of the Italian Syrah - brilliant value at under £17.
The bill was very reasonable - under £50 with the benefit of our 10% Aegon discount.
They own the slightly more upmarket restaurant next door - La Locanda Del Duca. We will try that later in the week and I'll let you know what we thought!

I was brought up in Eastbourne and loved to eat here, was my wife's favourite restaurant. We had not been back for 3 years and were happy to see that it was still a lovely place to eat. We just wish our trip home was longer so we could have eaten more meals there.

Came here though the recommendation of our B and B we were staying in and with a voucher from the B and B we got 10% of. Had a great buzz in the restaurant.(though a little noisy) tables were very close together. Seated very quickly and staff were very attentive. Lovely food and good prices. Would highly recommend
