I visited this restaurant with my wife, daughter her partner and two of my grandchildren early on Saturday evening having enjoyed this very popular restaurant several times before. We had not booked a table and on arrival saw that the establishment was very busy and wondered if we would could be accommodated. This proved to be no problem as we were taken to a comfortable basement room which was quiet on arrival but soon became very busy.
Our orders were taken quickly and the starters arrived promptly, these were excellent and I particularly enjoyed my order of courgette frittes. Main courses followed with little delay and all six of us found these to be of a very high standard, I enjoyed a Calzone and other members of our party feasted on pizzas and pasta dishes. The deserts we selected were also of a very high standard. We ordered just one bottle of Chianti which we found to be entirely satisfactory. The waiters were cheerful and coped well with the large number of diners. We enjoyed the lively and busy atmosphere where children seemed to be very welcome and it was clear that fellow diners were also enjoying the experience. This is certainly a restaurant that we will visit again but I would certainly book a table next time to avoid any disappoinment.

Recommended by hotel receptionist. Good menu, very tasty food at reasonable price. The service was friendly and fast. The place was large and comfortable but let down by the harsh colour scheme. Would definitely go back.

Really enjoyed my meal at the Pomodoro, I had Mussels and Garlic Bread with a duck in peppercorn sauce to follow and it was all very tasty, the duck was slightly overcooked but I wouldn't send it back or complain. The atmosphere is great, service is punchy and the host didn't bat an eyelid when I dragged the babby buggy in at 9pm on Thursday night. Wife had the cannelloni also delicious. portions are enormous so of you missed lunch and just walked back from beachy head you could do a lot worse than try this informal italian eatery.

Good atmosphere and great food for a family meal. One of our favourite places to eat in Eastbourne without breaking the bank.

Was slightly apprehensive about a revisit to Pomdoro e Mozzerella. Our last visit was two years ago as a visitor to the area and this time we were taking other family members with us. Needless to say we need not have worried!
Still the same warm welcome; still the same wonderful freshly prepared food and still no terrible muzak in the background, just the buzz of conversation from well fed and happy patrons. And still so reasonable.
Can't wait for our next visit as we are (hopefully) moving into the area and this restaurant will become our regular Italian eatery.

This busy Italian restaurant is centrally located in Cornfield Terrace. It offers very good value hearty Italian food and the service is excellent. The blue & yellow decor is perhaps a little brash, but the place has a good ambience and a fresh look. I ate here twice and the meals were first-rate in every respect. Don't eat here if you are watching your waistline, though, as the temptation to eat too much will be hard to resist!

It was ok we went there. It is a typical italian inexpensive place with lots of little children.

If the next door Italian restaurant is classy and grown-up (La L), this one is child friendly, busy and noisy at times, fun, great menu, good value, quick service with loads of staff.

The menu has a great selection of food. The MEDAGLIONI AL PEPE VERDE is fantastic and I would highly recommend. A little pricy but worth it.

It is a very busy restaurant the food was ok the service is good but always check your bill Iv been on several occasions and its been wrong! I think for real value for money use the set menu, and the rosemary bread is lovely, as is the house red wine.

We went here for a friends birthday, staff are fabulous, some of the nicest ive experienced in a resturant, got the whole place singing happy birthday to my friend, allowed us to come up a few hours before and give them decorations and cakes and they put it all out for us, food was lovely, well priced and filling. very enjoyable.

Took my family here when they brought me back to uni, only the second time I've eaten out in Eastbourne because I'm poor! But it was absolutely beautiful, the service was without fault, the owner came to see how we were doing and the food was delicious. Within 45 minutes of having walked through the door we had eaten our starters and had our main courses but didn't feel like we were being rushed, just prompt service! Very pleased with this place and will be keeping it in mind for future visitors.

With wife, son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren (4 & 7) visited on the day after New Year, wanting something different from Xmas fare. Comprehensive menu, competitive prices well presented food. Best of all, so child friendly. All the staff were good, but the Portuguese waiter should get a medal from the owner - he was fantastic. One nice touch was that when we were asked if we wanted water, a jug of tap water was suggested rather than expensive bottled water. Also as the family were staying at The Guesthouse East, a super B & B, they gave us a 10% voucher which was not only accepted but we were given a further voucher by the restaurant. Couldn't fault anything.

Not one for a quiet evening out, this is very much a family restaurant and heaving with young children during our visit. The food and service are top notch, well worth a visit, if you don't mind it being pretty noisy!

Although this is a big restaurant it has a welcoming feel and seems very authentic from the Italian staff.

This is the third time I have been to this restaurant and have yet to be disappointed. The food is amazing, and the service excellent.
During the year I was diagnosed as being gluten and lactose intolerant, so thought that my trip to this restaurant would be over with, however they have a simply fantastic gluten free menu, so much so that I found it difficult to notice the difference between "normal" pasta and mine!!If you eat nothing else, order the pizza with chips on top - my wife had this. It looks bizarre, but I was informed that it tasted fantastic. No food was left on either plate and the restaurant was full - both good signs!!
Would recommend to anybody without hesitation!!
