Sabaidee Thai Restaurant

We were visiting Eastbourne and decided to go this restaurant based on its reviews.
The restaurant is quite an average oriental restaurant with Thai food. The mains were OK but nothing special. Therefore the price is in my opinion quite high for what it is.
I definitely wouldn't go for a desert as it seems that not many people go for the deserts and they did not seem fresh. My wife went for sorbet in 1/2 mango. The sorbet and the mango half were chilled at a too low temperature and therefore the texture was too hard. It was more like a stone or a brick.
The service was very good though and they were very polite.

We had our Valentine's Day meal at the Sabaidee as it really is the best Thai restaurant we know. The meal was amazing, the service so good and at the of the meal I was proposed to! Can't rate this restaurant highly enough!

Fish and food are fresh. If you cannot eat hotty spicy chili food, you should ensure no chili dishes, otherwise....

Tucked away in a side street in Eastbourne is this little gem. Very friendly helpful staff. Very good food presented beautifully. Lots of buzz & obviously a very popular restaurant.glad we had pre-booked as all the tables were full.

Excellent Thai cuisine. Very large choice on the menu. Staff are friendly and service prompt. We visited during tennis week when the restaurant was full to the rafters. Despite this we did not wait long and our food was lovely. Would definitely recommend to others.

This is a lovely little restaurant that serves fantastic authentic Thai Food. The menu choice is extensive and the staff are only too pleased to guide you through anything that you are unsure about. It does get busy especially at the week-ends so you may need to book. Having said that you are never rushed to finish and can relax at your table. I have heard some people say that they find Thai food a bit bland. Well all I can say is that you need to visit here and experience the real thing - you will not regret it.
Service is very efficient and you will be made to feel welcome.

Ate here whilst on holiday in Eastbourne. Lovely clean restaurant with a great menu and plenty of choice. Had the mixed starter for 2 people and it was delicious. Prawns, chicken and vegetable appetisers, including my favourite "money bags" dumplings. All crisp and freshly cooked and served with 2 dipping sauces. Lovely presentation too. For main course we chose beef in red wine and duck in tamarind sauce with sticky rice. Very tasty and presented beautifully. Portion size was fairly generous and everything was hot and cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and good service.

The staff could not of been more helpful, so very obliging and willing to give advise on what they would recommend. The food is absolutely delicious with expertly chosen combination of flavours and spices. Every single mouthful of food had my taste buds dancing with excitement. I certainly will return soon to sample their excellent culinary delights.

Four of us visited this restaurant and the service was very quick and efficient. However, there was a mix-up with one of our meals which was in fact Tofu and not chicken. On pointing this out to the waiter, he just shrugged and asked us if we wanted dessert. However, what we did eat was very good.

Reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we made Sabaidee our destination for our first evening in Eastbourne. As per my review title, the food was well above average, but we felt rushed though the meal and out of the door so fast that we left feeling rather uncomfortable.
Within a minute of sitting down we were asked for our order. Thai mixed starters were served within two minutes and were the standard deep fried fare. The main course however (served as soon as we'd finished our starters) was much better - excellent Weeping Tiger - succulent slices of beef with a medium spicy sauce. Our sea bass with tamarind sauce was equally delicious and the accompanying rice and vegetable dishes made this an exceptionally tasty meal.
We couldn't stomach the instant plate clearing and offering of dessert, so left. Our meal was over within 40 minutes! This restaurant should relax a bit in its service and enable guests to enjoy the generally very good food they serve.

Working in the area for a few days, asked in the pub one evening if they could recommend a good Thai. Sabaidee was suggested so called ahead and booked. A warm welcome from the staff was followed by an excellent meal which was authentic and served promptly. Well worth a visit when in town.

We visited having booked a table on Saturday (it was full) and decided on the set menu as there are so many choices as to be bewildering. Drinks and food turn up and we sit, chat and enjoy the flavours of the Thai food which is well presented without being too hot, although on visits to other Thai place they usually ask how hot you would like it.
Happy to recommend, and would go again

Restaurant has changed it's name I think but food is still very good and good sized portions. We went on Saturday night and was packed. Initially we were in a very tight corner but within minutes were given a better table. The food was beautiful and we sat until after 11pm and not rushed. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Would recommend.

What an amazing restaurant the staff were fantastic so friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us whilst we were there. Food was outstanding in both presentation and taste best Thai I've ever had. Very reasonably priced with ample portion sizes. Opted for a mixed starter for 2 then a king prawn in ginger and chilli and a weeping tiger served with sticky rice, all I can say is wow!! Ordered a pina colada cocktail which was gorgeous and well presented, ended evening with liqueur coffee. Meal and drinks cost around £60 and well worth every penny, would definitely return again if we went to Eastbourne

If you want to eat here on the weekend, make sure you book it as it is very popular with those who go to the theatre. Saying that, I didn't and the staff managed to get us a table. The food was excellent, great flavour and well presented. My wife , who is not a great lover of Asian / Thai food, really enjoyed her choice and even said that we should return if in the area. There is a large choice of food to choose, all of which I am sure is equally as nice.

We've only been here twice but each time has been lovely. The food is great and the service is fantastic! Friendly, really polite and professional. It's also really relaxing. The staff really make an effort to make the dining experience a treat.
We went this time as a birthday treat on Thursday, just before going to the theatre and the service was very prompt. We finished within and hour with time to spare before the show. We had two starters to share; prawn toast and the deep fried vegetables. Both were lovely and really generous portions. The noodle mains were just as lovely and we couldn't finish due to the generous portions.
Would definitely recommend....

We were planning on coming here during our stay and as an added bonus the map of the town our hotel gave us included a 10% off food voucher!
We went for one of the set meals for two and the quality and quantity of the food was great. The service was great and we had a really great night. Having previously been to Thailand I was really impressed with how good this food was and you could tell it was all really freshly cooked. Would highly recommend.
