Splendid hotel whose staff were all very good and whose meals were excellent. If the opportunity occurs in the future we shall plan to revisit as it was a pity that this visit was truncated due to illness.

Wonderful dance music and wonderful food, a very enjoyable weekend away entertained by The Pasadena Roof Orchestra! The Grand is in a great location, very close to the prom and a short walk to the town centre.

Extremely high standards regarding hotel & room cleanliness, dining facilities and respect shown to guests by all staff, particularly concierge, who gladly arranged to retrieve my "boxed in " car and thereby enable me to leave early (after breakfast) on the Sunday morning .

The bed was the best I have ever slept in - well done!! Lovely friendly hotel with 5 star service - will be back next year. Will take advantage of your winter special offer of 2 nights for the price of one in 2018

My husband and I took our two year old granddaughter to meet some of her cousins who live in Eastbourne. We took advantage of a two for three deal and stayed Friday to Monday. The staff were, as always, wonderful. The chaps in the car park, the concierge, the waiters in the restaurant were all happy to help and lovely with our little girl.

From the time of arrival till departure, you are treated with a standard of service that other so called 5 Star Hotels should emulate!
This is an Hotel that I will return to time and time again!...............Perfect!

Excellent old school grandeur and excellent staff. Upgraded suite much appreciated - a heavenly indulgent treat. Spa treatment and staff recommend - very good. Would appreciate adult only time in pool - was trying to escape from children. Excellent food, quick room service and very comfortable bed.

Wonderful stay at the Grand. The entertainment of the Pasadena Roof Orchestra was fabulous, the food was very good and rounded of the celebrations for my birthday. Looking forward to another visit to celebrate my birthday.

Excellent music from the PRO. Fantastic breakfast at hotel. Nice room. Good lounge areas. Attentive staff. Food during the function rather unremarkable and the wait between courses ridiculously long! Dance area less than adequate. Overall, though, a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

The Grand Hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. It is also well placed to be able to walk to all the places we wanted to see. Some of the guest rooms may need a little up-dating work but the building is the most beautiful ever! We enjoyed a lovely relaxing time in the spa too. Thank you.

Unlike last 2 reviews we had a delicious tea £22 for 4 scones extra jam and clotted cream on request plus teas for 2. But what a delightful retreat the Grand continues to be, & with extraordinarily polite and helpful staff. And I should know, coming here now for 63 years!

The Grand is an hotel run on the old fashioned standards of courtesy and civility. It is one of our favourites. The staff are very friendly and efficient, service is first class and the whole demeanour of tge hotel is positive.

Third visit to the hotel. Love it here. Friendly, helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere while still maintaining that gorgeous luxury feel. Feel pampered and looked after the moment you pull up outside. My daughter and myself come here for a respite night away from caring for my son. Gives us the much needed mother/daughter quality time. We step inside the hotel and don't leave. We make full use of spa facilities, have lunch and then much later, afternoon tea, which you can have as late as 6pm. The rooms are equipped with everything you need from toiletries to coffee. Have never had a disturbed night (always request a quiet part). Plenty of room to sit and have room service if required with comfy arm chairs. Comfy beds. Breakfast is set in a charming setting with plenty of room. Very good choice of continental or the full English. Non rushed atmosphere. Never been during a school holiday, always go term time as I need the peace and quiet.

I have stayed at The Grand on several occasions and always look forward to the next time. The hotel has a unique blend of modern facilities within a framework that harks back to the glory days of the hotel industry. The Staff have that magic quality of unobtrusive attentivness. And finally, how many other hotels retain a Palm Court Orchestra? I will be back!

We enjoyed our two night break at The Grand. Dinner was excellent, as was breakfast. Our room for the stay (333) was very comfortable. A couple of minor faults were evident. A bedroom net curtain was hanging loose from its rail, with a hole evident. The bathroom hand basin was cracked.

The Grand hotel is a wonder in style and elegance. We had a sea-view room, the breakfast was one of the best I've eaten. Sadly I thought the Mirabelle was not quite what it was. The service and atmosphere was as fine as evey but the food lacked the usual richness of taste and was a little bit too clever.

Short break sponsored by Daily Telegraph came well up to expectations from time of friendly and helpful reservations team booking - Joanna- through to our arrival. Throughout our stay we experienced first class service from knowledgeable and professional staff in all areas of the hotel.

From the moment you arrive at this fine Grand Hotel, you are entering into a different era.... one of the last true British style hotels, where nothing is too much trouble. You are made to feel as if you are part of the family. Would highly recommend.

Generally excellent service - always exceptionally polite, if a little hit and miss on taking down orders/requests.

Stunning architecture and well-maintained, and in my experience the most lavish coastal hotel in the UK - I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Eastbourne now.

Great spa (although steam room disappointingly out of action) and ample parking with very attentive door and concierge teams.

Meal and drink prices and room service and in-room tray orders are all excessive no matter what your budget point - I've stayed in 5* establishments worldwide and still noticed the pricing to be high.

Breakfast selection if taken in the Garden Restaurant was superb.

We had a lovely overnight stay with dinner and breakfast as a weekend treat. The staff were all very polite and helpful and our room overlooking the seafront was clean, well appointed and spacious. The hotel is elegant and well kept throughout. Our stay was expensive but overall was worth the extra for the service provided.

Great experience but the hotel is a bit old.

The room are clean and were refitted many years ago. The bedroom was quite big. The bathroom is clean.

The spa and swimming pool are old and not super clean. Changing rooms are really old.

Service is great and breakfast is amazing. We had a diner and the service was great. The food is quite good, the champagne was great and the atmosphere with the piano was really amazing.

The afternoon tea was also a great experience close to the fireplace.

Great service. If you are looking for a nice experience week end jumping back in history and enjoying a great service you will love it. If you are looking for modern palace type it won't be for you.

Enjoyed every aspect of our experience staying in the hotel including service and standard of everything. The food in both restaurants was of the highest quality including the prepared breakfast and the choice on the buffet.
