Excellent service throughout the hotel, comfortable rooms, delicious food and close to the beach and sea. Eastbourne town within walking distance or stroll along the promenade to the pier.Nearby Beachy Head accessible by car within 10 minutes with pub restaurant and amenities available.

Fantastic weekend here. Service is outstanding, especially Pedro in the restaurant with his sidekick with the magnetic glasses (can’t remember name) and bar staff. Pool area very small and too full to enjoy and car park very small so recommending booking otherwise u will need to risk seafront parking. Bed small for our liking as we are used to a super king but this is personal preference I guess. Had the best time and can’t wait to go back.

I have stayed here many years ago .Most of the good qualities of this hotel have matured with age.The doorman found a parking place in what seemed a full car park. Excellent!Front desk staff were helpful and courteous. My room was fine and the bed was of a good standard. The TV was on the small side, the WIFI patchy at best and some radio contraption by the bed impossible to figure out. The hotel was an imposing Fireplace at the end of the entrance. Public rooms are grand and not yet faded. The gum, pool and spa facilities are ok but in need of an update. The hotel food in the restaurants and lounge areas was good and reasonable priced for a 5 star hotel. A walk up Beachy Head is tough but worth the effort.

The Grand Hotel Eastbourne is the perfect title for this most amazing establishment. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by professional friendly staff starting with the doorman to reception staff and the wonderful and warm Barbara the customer relations lady. Nothing is to much trouble, the restaurant food is a tastebuds treat . The domestic staff uniform is vintage and very in keeping with the ethos of the hotel. The building is very well maintained and all areas are spotless decorated with beautiful flower arrangements. The staff team are very friendly and all possess a smiley face.would most definitely recommend this truly fantastic haven of wonderful sophistication and comfort.

Great service, stunning building (although due for a public area refurbishment as the 80's style decor is particularly dated - the bar soft sofas have had it).

However, drink prices are (still) outrageous - not just expensive, but take-out-a-mortgage steep.

The 5 star rating is being used to prop up such a disparity in location versus price point premium.

Absolutely first class five star hotel with brilliant staff to match. This has to be one of the best five star hotels in the UK. It’s a palace! The staff are fabulous and obviously love their jobs. Would recommend to anyone seeking something special without breaking the bank!

I took my partner and two friends to this hotel based off the recommendation from my parents. We were advised it wouldn't let us down and how true. A majestic hotel and flawless experience. With professional yet warm and friendly staff. Will return soon.

A short business stay but very pleasant experience with lovely room, friendly staff and nice breakfast. It is in a splendid location and is very grand, which is impressive. Pity we did not have longer to enjoy the spa, the hotel and the town.

My wife and I recently visited for a two-day break at this lovely Hotel, and were treated like Royalty. From the friendly Concierge staff upon arrival, to the check-in process, to the Lounge and Restaurant staff, we were made to feel most welcome

Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the quality of the food both in the Restaurant and in the Lounge were excellent

Can't wait to return to this beautiful Hotel

I stayed here on 20th to 21st Jan 2019 with my best friend. We had a night away from the kids, with beauty treatments and an afternoon tea.
The service was impeccable from the moment we walked up to the hotel. All the staff were friendly, polite and had no issue with any request.
The beauty treatments were great; a manicure and an express facial. Specifically, the facial was incredibly relaxing and my skin felt great afterwards.
The afternoon tea was very nice and very filling. Make sure you don't have a big breakfast if you have this booked!
We booked room service during our stay - an meal and some Prosecco. Again this was very nice.
The room was large and comfortable. It was a little on the warm side but the rooms have a tower fan so wasn't an issue. Coffee and tea are provided, along with towels, dressing gowns and slippers. The bed mattresses and pillows are soft, so if you prefer of need a hard mattress then take this into consideration.
All in all, the visit was fantastic and I can't fault the hotel at all.

If you're looking for immaculate service where attentiveness of staff and traditional good old courtesy, you will find it here in The Grand Hotel Eastbourne. Its the little things that they do when you're a guest that makes you almost completely forget that such wonderful service and hospitality still do exist. Yes, this place is it. Its utmost comfort when you're staying here.

We recently had a group of friends and family together for a champagne family tea.
I’ve been here a couple of times before but not for a few years!
The afternoon tea is fabulous, delicious sandwiches, cute little quiches, gorgeous scones and an assortment of cakes. The choice of teas is enormous, so something to please everyone. Lovely surroundings, helpful staff and comfy chairs to flop back into when you’ve eaten your fill!
The champagne was very good, but it was served just moments after the tea was brought out, we did think we’d get the champagne before the tea. Not to worry, it still went down well.
Great venue for a special occasion or a little treat!

We booked the two for one night stay as a Christmas present to each other and had booked an executive room (104) which was very nice until the extraction fan on one of the adjacent rooms started up. It was fairly noisy during the day but we ignored it, but then at 2.30am it went off again and was like a pneumatic drill going off. After about 20 minutes I called down to reception and the night porter came to investigate. It was decided that we would have to change rooms as it was so noisy. We were originally offered inferior rooms to the one we had booked, but after a short while they came up with new keys to the suite just down the corridor. You can imagine at 3am this must have looked very amusing to anyone who saw us. We are very grateful to the staff for resolving the issues so promptly and at such a ridiculous time of night. Apart from that we had a fabulous stay and really enjoyed the evening meal. The pool area was very relaxing and I had a short massage which was very nice indeed. The staff were extremely attentive, especially Robert the concierge who always had a smile and remembered our names every time we spoke to him. The highlight for me was the absolutely adorable couple who come in to dance every Saturday evening, they were so sweet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!

Been wanting to try this Hotel for a while; but could not justify the price (as I am quite tight, now that I pay my own bills and not the company :)). Got a good winter package deal for 2 nights BB in a superior room. The one proviso being; eating in the restaurant at least one of the nights. We really, really; enjoyed our stay, so comfortable and relaxing. Bar pricing is Park Lane; but hey why worry about that in such comfort. Food; not fantastic. However restaurant, and restaurant theatre worth paying for. Breakfast superb.

I’ve been lucky enough to stay in some high end hotels all over the world & The Grand is easily up to it’s 5star rating. The service is effortlessly spot on. Several requests I made were dealt with without any drama. Staying in a really good hotel is always nice but this was really relaxing as well. The room, the food, the public areas & especially the staff were all faultless. I’m already planning to come back with the other half.

We spent a couple of nights between Christmas and the New Year. From arrival the service we received was outstanding; all staff welcoming and efficient. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and spotless whilst delicious meals served in beautiful surroundings. The excellent leisure facilities are a great addition. Overall we shall definitely return and look forward to it.

We stayed for a week in the quiet season. We had a lovely room with great views over the sea. The room was large and comfortable but when we arrived, we found no hangers in the room nor a frig - and had to phone down for both. A small point but irritating for all that and not what you'd expect for a room that's normally £400 a night.

We had breakfast there which was good enough but not outstanding. I ordered scrambled egg one morning and was delivered something more akin to an omlette which proved inedible. I was offered an alternative breakfast, but decided by then I was happy enough with toast!

We only had dinner there one evening as we found it too formal for our taste. The food was good and the wine choices were fine. What disappointed us was that there was nowhere to have a lighter more informal meal of an evening (unless we'd opted for to have sandwiches in the evening).

The staff were nearly all friendly and helpful and the porters were particularly helpful with luggage when we arrived. Rooms were efficiently serviced morning and evening.

We chose the hotel for its reputation and location, right on the seafront in Eastbourne We had a good stay and were looked after well but it wasn't exceptional. Our room - a suite - was comfortable and well positioned but the wifi was unreliable and the connection would regularly drop out after only a about 30 seconds. When I enquired about this at reception, they expressed surprise as a router was in our room. That said, the connection didn't improve the whole of our time there and that's really not good enough for a 5* hotel in a resort the size of Eastbourne!

We were looked after exceptionally well when we arrived but this standard dropped off throughout our stay and by the time we were leaving, no-one offered to help with our luggage which was a real disappointment.

Really attentive staff. Excellent care and attention throughout visit with little touches such as milk and cookies at bed time that made the trip for my younger family members. Great location. Maybe tired design but in a beautiful old building and all furnishings quality. Food and drinks somewhat expensive but as you may expect in a five star. Staff really made this trip special for our family.

We totally enjoyed our stay, from the moment we parked to the time we checked out. Staff were friendly. Room was perfect for our first anniversary. We would love to come back and will upgrade next time for a seaview.

A nice stay at our favourite hotel. The food was a little disappointing since last time though. The hotel was quiet and clean and nice and cosy - however still pricey for what you get. There have been some changes since our last visit

Not possible to fault this hotel on any grounds. Have stayed in Eastbourne many times over many years and nothing rivals The Grand for overall value for that special occasion. Will return when funds permit.
