We had Sunday lunch here two weeks ago, four adults and a very active two year old.
The ambience was good and the interaction between the two year old and staff was great!Service was a bit slow to start with, but we were there early.
We all had steaks which were cooked exactly the way we wanted them, and were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and Kay deserves a special mention for his friendly manner and his attention to our needs. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family .
Nice decor, and appropriately warm on a cold blustery day.

We had a lovely evening at Two Bulls, and we enjoyed the bar on the side of the pub. The peanut dessert was heaven, and the meat eaters in the party said the steak was great. However, only 1 vegetarian option was disappointing and the halloumi and roasted vegetable salad was very average. I appreciate it is a steak resturant, but I would expect all good restaurant to cater for special diets.

We visited with a large group of friends for a Christmas night out. The set Christmas menu had lots of choice and was good value for money. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the chocolate Guinness pot for dessert was the most delicious dessert I've ever had!
We will definitely visit again!

This was our 1st visit to this restaurant and we did not have high expectations. We arrived early in order to have a pre-dinner drink in the attached 'lounge bar'. It was very over-priced with little atmosphere. We will not bother with that again. Better to go a few metres up the road to a proper pub.
Then we went into the restaurant. Wow! What a difference. The restaurant was buzzing. Briliant ambience. We were greeted and shown to a table of our choice by a very friendly staff member. The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and gave advice on how long to have our steak cooked. We were impressed with her promise of a replacement steak if ours was not cooked as we wanted it. We did not have to wait for long for our starters. Mackerel pate was exc ellent and well presented.Steaks were superb. Probably the best I have had in a restaurant. We went for the £60 meal for 2 with a bottle of wine. Excellent value. We will be going there regularly in the future.

Really nice buzz to the place - nicely informal without being scruffy. Service was friendly if a bit vague in places; a busy night (the place was packed) was stretching the staff a bit. The quality of the meat is as good as you'll find anywhere in the UK, and very reasonably priced; wine list was a bit limited but again, very good value for money. Cooking wise - could use a little bit of refinement, the steaks are cooked high and hot so there was a little charring on the outside of ours and it wasn't as melt-in-the-mouth as a ribeye can be. Not enough to spoil them but, with meat that good, it's was a shame it wasn't perfect. Rounded off with a great selection of desserts, this is definitely a worth going to.

The food here is great, simple and cooked perfectly! I went with a ground of 6 people who all had the meal deal of 2 couples for £60 - starter, main, dessert and a bottle of wine. excellent value for money, the steaks were all cooked exactly how everyone wanted and they tasted brilliant too. lovely atmosphere here! We will definitely be going back again.. throughly recommend this for dinner in eastbourne..

We really enjoyed our visit last night. We went with friends who recommended you. We were greeted by friendly staff my friend was recognised by a staff member from her last visit and they couldn't have given us more individual attention. The food was the best steak we have had. Will definitely be going again.

My husband and I decided to visit at the last minute as I had heard about the £60 3 course plus bottle of wine deal. When we arrived we looked at the menu and we're both immediately drawn to the t-bone. You just don't see it on menus anywhere!! So we binned off the meal deal and both ordered the t. I asked if mine could be cooked black and blue which means crispy and charred on the outside and rare in the middle. It was served perfect. And with super crispy chips. I honestly cannot fault the meal.
I am a huge foodie and very particular. My chips have to be right. And they were! The meat was so tasty. So soft, like cutting through butter. The highlight for me was when I got chatting to the chef and he showed me the fridge where they store the meat and talked me through the cuts. Then took me into the kitchen and let me watch them working! I was in heaven! It was like being in masterchef.
We had the best time. The staff were so friendly. Our waitress was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I recommend this place very highly. Can't wait to go back and try a black and blue burger!!

My partner and I decided on the spur of the moment last friday evening to try out the Pizza resuarant attached to the Two Bulls at The Tally Ho. This is the first time we have been there although we had heard from our daughter it has a reputation for very nice pizzas. I am not generally a big fan of the genre, but must say i was extremely impressed. As well as ding take aways there is a nice cosy area for sitting which was nicely decorated and lit with candles creating a warm, mellow atmosphere. The only put off from our point of view was the presence of two large stuffed boars heads on the wall which my wife made a point of sitting with her back to!! This could definitely be a put off for vegetarians although there was an additional seating area where they cannot be seen.
What also impressed me was the friendliness of the owners and the excellent service. We took advantage of a special offer of any two pizzas from the menu and a bottle of wine for £27. The wine we chose was an italian red, Montepulciano which was very nice. The pizzas are all cooked in an authentic wood fired oven. I had one with pulled pork, slow roasted belly pork with Balsamic onions, topped with fresh spring onion and my wife had Artechoke and Parmesan, Olive oil marinated artichokes, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella & parmesan on a courgette base. We both agreed they were absolutely delicious, full of flavour with a generopus amount of topping which perfectly complemented the beautiful thin crust base. The proprietors told me that had spent a lot of time perfecting their flavour combinations for their menu and it showed. We finished by sharing a lovely desert, a smmooth rich dark chocolate raspberry pot which went perfectly with our coffee. we were also offerd complementary Limoncello classic Italian liqueors which I have not tried before, but certainly would again!
Also unlike the normal pizza house expreience there was no sense of being rushed and we had a lovely mellow evening enjoying the excellent music and atmosphere. There is potentially space in the restaurant for up to about 24-30 guests and I think it would be a great venue for a group outing.

Went to the two bulls steak house with my fiancée and came away with mixed feelings.we ordered starter to share of cheese and ham nice but quite a small portion, then main t bone porterhouse steak and a stack of ribs with a view to share .Steak was a good size cooked well and tasted great but overpriced now here's the main problem the stack of ribs, expensive, sauce bland not much meat on them a bit over cooked and only 4 a big let down,a real positive though the staff very friendly.

This was our first visit - but certainly won't be our last!
My wife had the ribs, which were just 'melt in the mouth' gorgeous, whilst I had the T bone, which was cooked to perfection. We had previously had starters of smoked mackerel pate and prawn cocktail, which were also really good. By the main course we were struggling with 'eyes bigger than the stomach'.
Superb food and the staff are really nice. The only downside was that our waiter screamed inexperience, but was doing his best.
A really good place to visit.

It is a famous steakhouse in the area so we came for steak specifically. I was pleased to hear that all of our aged selections were available, but was not so pleased when we received them on the plate. Both my friend and I asked for medium rare, but his was completely rare and mine was on the well side of medium (even well done on some parts because the thickness was not uniform throughout the whole steak)!
I am giving it a high grade because just about everything else was great: nice location, great atmosphere, very helpful and smiling staff.
Recommended, but guys, please take care when cooking your main product!

Steaks were quite good but Dry, as though they were left out too long prior to service
Starters were a bit basic, bread olives....no side plates
No coffee as machine was down....

I went out with my wife, daughter and husband and two small children (4 and 5) for Saturday Lunch. The adults had steaks and the children a child's menu. Although we enjoyed the meal, I felt that it was on the expensive side £18 for a 6 oz fillet steak without any vegetables, apart from large chips, £3.50 for a small bowl of Spinach for example. The whole meal with drinks cost us £164 without tip (or £152 without the children's meals) which seemed a lot for a Saturday lunch.

Great, smashing, wonderful, amazing are just a few words to use to describe my visit to this establishment. The staff and level of service are unquestionable. I had the Mackrel pate to start (delicious)and a good size.11oz ribeye, cooked medium to well for me,excellent. THEN,banoffe pie, incredible! I can eat quite a lot when I'm hungry and honestly I was stuffed when we left.I only leave good reviews and in my opinion, if you don't mind paying good money for good food, you WON'T be disappointed at the Two Bulls.I can't wait to return,I have every intention of doing the whole menu!

Very friendly service-perhaps a bit too chatty, but I might just be a bit unfriendly. Good two pizzas plus wine for £27 deal, otherwise £12-£14 for a pizza is steep. The pizzas are doughy and too heavily laden with topping, which some people may enjoy, but not me.
I like that the menu is limited, but the pizzas need to improve.

A small place with a slightly cold atmosphere but despite that it has some nice food.
We ordered from the day time special menu which had a choice of steaks and other food. Good value at £8-ish, the steak was cooked properly and the sides were crisp, fresh and tasty. The sauce to go with it was good, though I think perhaps not homemade.
Seems to be able to cater for large groups and the staff were friendly and helpful. Though if you have a vegetarian in your group I don’t recall seeing anything meat free on the menu.
Drinks were typically priced but not expensive. On tap beer, a range of wines and soft drinks also.
Would go back if I fancied a steak, not sure on the non steak options if I would go there or try elsewhere.
Not bad, average though.

Absolutely amazing! We popped in yesterday lunch time and had a light bite to eat. The steak was beautiful, tasty tender and cooked perfectly. The staff were very helpful including the owner. Off the beaten track but well worth a visit - it's a must!

Tried to book over the phone but it was so busy decided to take a chance and turn up. Was welcomed and as we wanted a few changes to the menu they were happy to accommodate. Very nice food and lovely home made chips.

Gem and I live just down the road from the Two Bulls and have been there a number of times. We also frequent the Pizzeria as well and just cannot say enough about both these venues.
Lunch was just wonderful, the staff Annie and Kaye(?) were welcoming and very pleasant. The atmosphere was just right with the music loud enough to hear and enjoy it but not too loud to disrupt our conversation and cause other diners to have to raise their voices.
The meal, oh my word the meal. My 9 oz Rib Eye steak was done to perfection (I do like a medium rare) and Gem's Surf and Turf steak pieces were also done exactly how she likes them (also medium rare). The steak chips were lovely and even though we ordered extra we really didn't need them. I would totally recommend the Stilton Cream sauce with your steak. The nice thing about the meal for me is that whilst the steak is the star of the show, the rest of the meal doesn't get totally lost or play second fiddle to the overall taste. But that steak was just something else. It had a real smoky flavor which reminded me very much of some wonderful meals that I have had whilst on holiday.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Two Bulls Steak House to every carnivore out there.
