For my anniversary with my other half, we decided to come here for dinner on a Sunday evening, after great reviews we had heard.
As we approached the door we were greeted by a very polite female member of staff who showed us to our table. when the lady took our order, I was unsure about how I wanted the steak cooked, with the particular steak I was going to have, because of her clear advise, I felt confident with what i was ordering, and I am very pleased I took the advise!
There was another young girl working who never stopped smiling and she was a pleasure to talk to, brilliant people skills. Our steaks were cook exactly how we wanted them, GREAT price for what we got, we made room for desserts where we had the " New York Cheese Cake " well.. oh my that was spectacular!
when we left we saw the chefs smiling, its great to see such happy workers!
Me and my other half felt so comfortable, it was a great atmosphere, Exceptional service, Annie and Charlotte the two waitresses couldn't have done a better job we were well looked after, and cant wait to come back, thankyou for making our Anniversary evening such a pleasure.

We love The Two Bulls....Lunchtime Special Offers mean you can afford to eat here twice a week - if you wanted too. The steaks are cooked exactly how requested. The service is exceptional, especially the young waiter Kay who can not do enough to make your experience a pleasurable one....Thank you.....See you again soon.

We ate there last night for the first time. We started our evening with a couple of cocktails in the lounge then moved into the steakhouse when our table was ready. The menu looked great and we chose the three course menu which was great value, 3 courses plus a bottle of wine for two people £50 and we were told we could change anything on that menu and they would just charge us the difference. Our waiter was Kay who was amazing! he really made the night fun & enjoyable, he could not do enough for us. The food tasted delicious and my T-Bone steak was cooked perfectly. We were too full to eat our desserts so Kay put them in a takeaway bag for us to take home. Highly recommend this place.

My partner and I came for an anniversary dinner. I ordered the rump fillet with a surf of prawn skewers and my partner ordered the ribs. I asked if I could swap my chips for coleslaw as I am not keen on chips and unfortunately was told that this was not possible. The steak that I had was not nice. It was chewy and gristly and the prawns were burnt. The waitress came over to see if the meal was ok and immediately realised that it was not. She took away my meal and ordered a new one for me. She assured me that the meal would be taken off the bill as I had had to wait and was extremely kind and considerate. The next steak was slightly over done but was so much better than the first. It was lean and delicious. The chops were also very nice, they were home made, as was the garlic butter, I thought that this was a very nice touch. For my dessert I had the tiramisu which I can only describe as the best tiramisu I have ever had, it was delicious and again, home made. Although we had a couple of hiccups with our meal the service and overall quality made up for it completely. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning.

Went here with my wife for a meal and set steak meal with drinks is good value for money.
My steak was great but unfortunately my wife's was not so good which was shame and spoilt the evening for her.The staff were friendly and attentive and my only other comment is the seating was not very comfortable where we sat.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime as a large group of 20. The meals were enjoyed by all and the steaks and burgers in particular were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, considering that there were so many of us. The desserts also are delicious, the favourites being the banoffee pie and the Eton mess! Look forward to returning for an evening meal in the near future!

Been a manager myself it was great t try this place after reading so many great reviews. Must say I was really impressed. Great decor, simple but very relaxing, spotless clean and top notch service. Staff were very friendly from the receptionist and all the way to the kitchen. We were accommodated at a lovely table next to the fire place and warmly greeted by the waiter who straight away offered us drinks and brought it prompt. Now the best was yet to come. We had our orders taken by the manager, an absolutely fantastic lady called Delphine. She was so much fun, helped us to make the right choices of steak and we I mention I work for a Spanish tapas restaurant back in London she brought us 2 glasses of Fino Sherry to compliment our starters of Spanish ham and Manchego cheese, and bowl of olives. Now about the steaks. Prepare yourself for a really big meal. To be honest it was our choice. My partner had a 21oz heart of rump and I had a18oz Porterhouse T-bone steak. They were wonderful, cooked to perfection and accompanied by salad and heavenly creamed spinach, steak Diane mushrooms and a really good home made coleslaw. Bear in mind these last 3 side dishes were ordered on the top of the meat dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection and we were happy bunnies. When asked the bill I realised they do not have service charge and it was easily the best tip I ever gave. And when you think the surprises had stopped Delphine gave us a ride to the city centre as the cab she had called us never came (they were super busy for the tennis, and of course it was a Saturday night, so quite understandable). In resume our night was superb and congratulations to every single member of staff, but specially to Delphine (will never forget the noises of the car!)

Me and my partner went for dinner on a Friday evening and both ordered the steak! We both enjoyed it and was cooked to how we asked.
The best thing for me in this restaurant are the desserts, but I love it all! Friendly staff, will definitely eat here again

Went to the steakhouse for dinner and ordered the sirloin 8oz. Was absolutely delicious!! Cooked to exactly how I like it, and chips were really chunky and perfectly cooked. Our waiter, Annie recommended the creamy spinach and mushrooms for sides, both were so good!! My partner is a big steak critic and he also said his was cooked to perfection. Staff were really friendly and I would definitely go again!

Lovely food. Nice and friendly atmosphere. Our waiter, named Kay, was polite, unobtrusive and really made us feel welcome and well catered for.

We chose Two Bulls because it has great reviews and was also recommended by the B&B we were staying at.
We decided to do the 3 course deal for two including a bottle of wine or drinks to the equivalent value (£13).I had Jamon Iberico & Manchego cheese board (this is normally £7 whereas the other started on the £50 menus were around £4 so we just paid the difference). My husband had the olives. For main we both had 6oz fillet which was cooked perfectly to medium rare what we asked for.
Desserts we had the same chocolate Guinness pot. It should have come to over £68 but we paid £53. Excellent food, great service and would definitely recommend!

This restaurant is fabulous, great starters, fantastic desserts, and, as for the steaks, out of this world. Lovely friendly staff, nice surroundings and a real ambience. Cannot recommend The Two Bulls highly enough. We just love eating there.

Have been here a few times so knew what to expect.
Had a drink in the side bar first then walked through with our drinks to the restaurant where we were greeted and seated.
A few moments later out waitress asked us for our order, which made us feel a little rushed. Again about three or four minutes later she asked us again! Some of our party had never eaten here before, so we were discussing 'what came with what' and things we had eaten before and was good.It was busy, but rushing us to take an order is not good.
Starters, mains and puddings all came. Beautifully cooked, beautifully presented and very good quality. This is what the Two Bulls is known for.
My only moan was that the waitress forgot our sides completely and when we questioned this, she only brought one side. Not a problem really as we all had enough to eat.
This is a great steak house, nice place to eat and be with friends.

We went here a few days ago after reading trip advisor reviews. I had the ribs and my husband had the fillet steak. There were a few grissly bits on the ribs but they were so big it didn't matter. Only downside was my husbands steak came in two parts and one was cooked perfectly
And was melt in the mouth but the other was a little underdone and slightly chewy. All in all lovely meal. Try the creamed spinach.

Managed to get a table for Five at short notice and we were so happy we did. The staff could not have been more helpful. This is a fabulous conversion of an old favourite pub.
We ordered Five different cuts at different weights and yet they all came at the same time, perfectly cooked.
I had the 18oz Porterhouse T-Bone and it was simply delicious. One of the best steaks I have had for a long time.
Service was attentive without being overbearing. This is not the cheapest meal out you will have but it will be one of the best in the area.
