Visited on the 27th of September. 10 out of 10 for service, Food and Helpful Staff.
Varied and well cooked food catering for all appetites .We had vegetarians children and senior citizens in our party and all were satisfied.
My 87 year old fussy eater mother who complains about every meal she has actually finished off all her sirloin steak and said that it was the best meal she had, praise indeed.

When it comes to food I admit I'm a bit of a food snob! When my parents suggested we visit one of there new fave places I hoped I would enjoy it as much as they did!
I loved it! The food was excellent and the value of a lunch at Tally Ho can not be beaten. The portions were generous and super tasty, I had the veggie dish, my dad the steak and my mom the salmon. Each dish was perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and even went out of there way to help my mom in her wheel chair. I can't say enough good things. Ignore the bad reviews and go see for yourself how great this little local pub really is! I hope to be back soon :)

There is really not much to say except fabulous steaks. All four of us had them cooked differently and all came out perfect.

This is an excellent value for money experience. The staff are all well groomed in customer service and organisation. This was my first visit, i can guarantee it will not be the last. The food was exceptional with continued service levels from all staff to ensure we were looked after. The steaks were all cooked as requested and plenty of sides with additional sides offered free of charge this was a lovely touch. We ordered a cheese board for 1 which was more than enough for 4 and of the highest quality. I could go on and on with feedback, but please go to this restaurant and experience, an A1 value for money venue.

We have just been for a high quality steak in a friendly establishment prompt service with a lovely atmosphere wonderful food and homemade puddings we are here for a week's holiday and hope to visit again - amazing

It is some time since I last came and I can' think why. They were able to fit us in at short notice. Had a 3 course meal and it was excellent. The steak was perfect as was my partner's. Service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was pleasant and though full you could still hold a conversation. Certainly more intimate than the Hastings venue.

First visit and very impressed with the burger, had a very tasty chargrilled flavour. Chips are amazing and chunk. My wife had a surf and turf skewer which was tender and we'll cooked. Will be returning for a proper steak soon.

Visited on a Friday evening as a couple. Obviously was an old pub given a new lease of life as a steakhouse. We had phoned and booked a table only 15 minutes earlier but when we arrived they couldn't see our reservation. However they found us a table, there were actually quite a few empty tables! The service was very good and the waiting staff attentive without being over the top. Our meal arrived in good time and was lovely. I had the 6ounce fillet and my husband had the 12ounce. This was just two of the six ounce steaks and he found one to be good and one not so good, which was a shame for him. Next time he'd stick to the smaller steak.

This is one of those place's that won't disappoint, even on a bad day, the steaks are expensive, but you get what you pay for, it really is in a different league

Visited this pub to have a butchers at the menu etc and wasnt that impressed.
On a trip taking my daughter to the bathroom we passed some huge carcuses/joints that looked like they should be covered in the kitchen, a bit off putting to say the least.The rest of the restaurant looked ok but a bit out of town in Eastbournes Old Town.
Also situated at the very top of Victoria road on a hill which is a pain if you are travelling by foot!

We went here for our 10th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly. When it came to the food we were also impressed. The steaks were to die for.

We went here because of the TripAdvisor reviews, which were spot on! Decor and atmosphere is lively, the food is great (simple and effective), and service was excellent. They offer 'meal deals,' which in hindsight was too much for us (though they happily wrapped up the remains of our pudding in a 'doggie bag.' We're just not used to eating starters, mains and pudding in one go. Our waiter, I think his name was Kai, was terrified, friendly, attentive and detail oriented. He arranged for us to have the slightly more expensive bottle of wine we initially ordered before we switched to the set meal selection. Steaks were perfectly cooked and they seem to have perfected their USP. They called a taxi for us at th end of our meal and I went to the manager to rave about our waiter, who came up to give me a hug! A great Friday night out - it's clearly a popular place with lots of happy customers!

Had a great meal here! My steak came out not cooked enough for my liking so our waiter steven sent it back and they had given me extra chips salad and more sauce even tho id eaten them before i sent it back! Lol the staff were very helpful and friendly especially steven who was on hand constantly want to go every night! Food was amazing

We went here for dinner on a Saturday. We arrived early and had drinks in the lounge which was very nicely decorated and served lovely cocktails - although it was very empty for a Saturday night (it might have been something to do with their card machine not working). The restaurant itself was heaving though, so booking a table would be wise!
The atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing and the staff were very friendly and extremely efficient. The steak was lovely (I had fillet) and came with chips, your choice of sauce and salad and the puddings were AMAZING, with probably the best tiramisu I have ever eaten.
All in all, this is a fab restaurant and they do excellent lunch time and Friday night deals which I am sure we will soon be checking out! My only one tiny criticism is that the choice of starters is rather limited (I'm not sure I would count olives or bread as a starter) but it is a minor point as you come here for the steak and that is very tasty!

Average restuarant but staff very good. I had the steak which was overpriced and not that good. There was just a handful of chips which were not good. My husband had the fillet steak which was very small for the price.
