The steak was the best I have had since moving from the States. The service was top-notch. The starters and desserts were brilliant.

Impromptu first visit to this steakhouse. We were greeted and seated straight away despite them being busy. Steak was cooked perfectly and chips homemade and tasty. Beware size of steaks 14oz is very filling!! Attentive staff without being a nuisance. Three course deal worth having for value. Not a cheap night out but we felt relaxed and comfortable. Wear a woolly though as chilly by windows in winter. Will return

We had a warm welcome and were given time to settle in before our drink order was taken. i chose the 45 day old rib eye blue, and my partner had 28 day aged T Bone steak Medium rare.
it came with a salad and hand cut chunky chips and a sauce choice.we added mushrooms and hand made coleslaw.
the steaks arrived and were not disappointed, perfectly cooked steak with a smoke grill taste, very nice, the sauces and coleslaw were very nice, but the mushrooms were not worth the £3 a plain flat mushroom would have been better, i did not need a steak diane sauce over them. overall the service was very good and friendly and not over powering. we enjoyed our evening very much
Thank you

Came to Tally Ho on 29th January with my work colleagues (22 in total) for a meal and celebrations.
Warm welcome by staff, organised and professional throughout the evening. They didn't mind us changing the seating arrangements either so we could all sit together. We had the set menu (£25 each) which comprised of 1/2 bottle of wine or 3 soft drinks plus a 3 course meal (see photos attached for food)
I have to say from start to finish the food was:1) beautifully presented every time
2) delicious in taste ( meat was not over cooked)3) ample portions (enough to share if you'd like too)
Hats off to the chief for perfection in cooking all 22 meals in demand!! There's also a bar on the other side of the Resturant with ambient lighting, leather sofa's and a log fire! Perfect for couples or just chilling out.
Over all we all had a fabulous time, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were willing to help with any thing. Great service! Toilets were clean and well supplied.
Parking is on the street so a little tricky in the resident area.Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

Visited The Two Bulls for our 2nd time last night. We had been to a Spa in Hastings & decided to spend an extra night in Eastbourne, as we'd tried the Two Bulls before & loved it so much. Once again we were not disappointed!! Such great tasting food here. The steaks are simply amazing. I had an 18oz Porterhouse & it was delicious. This will not be the last time I eat at The Two Bulls!

I had bed advised by two different people to try this restaurant and so took the trouble to go. We got a warm welcome and received great service all evening. The steaks were superb and perfectly cooked, I would recommend this place to anyone and will certainly go back again, give yourself time to park though.

We have been to the Two Bulls in Hastings a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it and this one was just as good. The Steaks are amazing. The whole meal is good with homemade chips and a fresh green salad with homemade dressing. Puddings delicious as well. It is a bigger more open restaurant than the Hastings one not that that makes one better than the other. Will definately be back.

We had three steaks and all were cooked perfectly. One was sadly very chewy but the other two were amazing. Chips and side salad were very nice, as were the additional sides that we tried. Puddings looked amazing but we did not have room to try those.
The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Food prices were average and the drinks were very reasonable. The pub/lounge bar next door is worth a visit either before or after your meal. Would definitely return here.

For years I have confidently ordered steak from menus around the world thinking I knew what a steak was. Let's skip to the end: I am an idiot.
I have never eaten steak. I have eaten some sort of mimicry on a plate. I have been flattered by things that look like steak.
Age 31, today for the first time I experienced what real, properly aged, cooked and seasoned steak is. It is phenomenal.
The staff have been polite and helpful, the surroundings cozy yet not uncomfortably quiet. Families, couples, friends are all here enjoying themselves. Cancel your dinner reservations and book here.
Vegetarians will be converted. I swear my steak was smiling.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, best steak I've ever eaten.
Oh my god, someone bring me the paddles of life, if I'm not dead and I'm not in heaven, then god damn that steak was awesome.
Why are you still sitting on the sofa, questioning your life? Book a cab, eat this steak and feel better about yourself.
This steak literally gave me magical powers. 21 dry ahead steak, 45 DAY DRY AGED?!?!? I

Myself and my partner had a fantastic experience at the Two Bulls, the steak is definitely the best I've ever tasted and the service was second to none, they made us feel extremely welcome, and were very attentive, you also don't feel like you have to rush out after your meal with the lounge bar, (with open fire!), just a few feet away. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Me and my family went to the tally ho for christmas dinner, and I must say, the experience exceeded my exceptionally high standards. The food was excellently seasoned, and served swiftly. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and up for a good laugh to top it off. I would recommend a visit to meat eaters, fish eaters and vegetarians alike, as my family is a combination and every dish was executed brilliantly.

Had a really fantastic meal here back in September with 12 friends.
The staff were so helpful, friendly & attentive without being over the top. The service was amazing with all the food coming up together and being served without asking who'd ordered it which was lovely.
Really couldn't rate it high enough.

This is the third time we have been to the Two Bulls, the two previous visits, the service and food were superb.Last weekend on a Family Birthday meal,it was poor. They forgot to bring out one persons meal, and when it did arrive it was not cooked as specified,They are a STEAK HOUSE and if they can't get the cooking of the steaks right, then they are in trouble. They charge a decent price, which you don't mind paying if the food and service is good, but on this occasion it was poor. Forgetting a meal is a ridiculous mistake.

I will start by saying I went on 2 consecutive lunchtimes & had 2 very different experiences!!
I visited last Thursday in a group of 5 & had the most wonderful 6oz juicy sirloin cooked to perfection & the service was spot on ... I decided to take a friend on the Friday & ordered the same as it was so delicious!! Not so this time ... It was a flat bit of steak, chewy & full of fat of which I left most of! I was expecting the waitress to make a comment but I'm not sure if she didn't notice or chose to ignore ... I should've complained as past experience shows the customer service is normally 2nd to none & they don't charge without any quibbles! (I do think they have quite a few complaints from what I have been told)We also waited over 30 minutes for a coffee as the machine broke ... Not a problem & we were advised of this after 10/15 mins but a nice gesture may have been to knock it off the bill?!?!
Anyway as I have good experiences in the past i will go back as when they get it right they really get it right ... Really good value at £8 for a lunch!
Ps The bar is fab just for a drink - great decor & lovely atmosphere!

Don't be fooled, this place is exactly what it says it is - a steak house, a meat eaters dream! And they do it exceptionally well. Charcoal grilled, well sourced, aged and presented range of cuts. Pleasant surroundings, relaxed service and staff, and a comfortable lounge bar to either start or end your visit, with a open fire for winter. There are a limited number of other options ( not a criticism ) if you don't want steaks, and a delicious range of desserts. Fat chips are served with a salad garnish, but it's all about the meat, which for us was excellently cooked, beautifully tender and flavoursome, augmented with either peppercorn or Stilton sauces or garlic butter, all of which drew positive comments from our group. First rate experience.

Located in the old town of Eastbourne there is nothing dramatic about the appearance of the restaurant. However the service is excellent and the staff can advise on the virtues of the various steaks and how best cooked. The steaks are to die for.
It is not cheap however unless you go at lunchtime. But it is worth every penny

We went here for lunch on a Sunday...the steak bar is only open Thursday to Sunday so check before you go n the opening times.
We chose a sirloin steak form the £8 lunch menu served with large hand cut chips, a salad, and a choice of steak sauces - I had creamy Stilton. All was excellent...my steak marginally overlooked for a medium, m wife's was perfect. Salad served with a wedge of lemon to dress it which was a nice touch, the chips were crispy and fluffy inside, and the sauce was a nice accompaniment. Draught San Miguel lager at £4 a pint was lovely and cold.
Service was friendly and efficient. An excellent dining experience....I'll. be back!

After enjoying a lovely meal here last month we invited several of our friends over for a group meal. Just like before the steaks were cooked perfectly and we had a wonderfull night! Service was especially good although I would have prefered one single waiter/waitress rather than having a differnt person taking our drinks, food and desert order. Will be comming back again
