This was our first visit to the Two Bull's Steakhouse and won't be the last. The steak was beautifully prepared and cooked and the sides were also really good. Desserts delicious. Backed up with friendly service and good prices makes this restaurant a top choice.

The food is very good at the Two Bulls, but on two occassions I have been over charged for my meal, the first time was a massive £75.00 as friends where with us as well, and on the second one for £22.50, while we was there we heard another table also asking for there bill to be checked. My advise is this is a great place to eat, but always check your bill.
The reason I was dissapointed was that I should not have got to the stage for me to complain before I got some re-dress, I am a regular that has sent quite a lot of money at the Two Bulls.
The staff are very nice people but they need to put customers first, when they make errors.

I'm normally not a meat eater but this place was recommended so highly we had to try it. I'm now a reformed carnivore! This place really knows what to do with beef. It's properly hung, properly aged and properly tasty. The sides are good too and although I'd planned on having a desert I was just too full - a shame because they looked really good too.
We went for a Sunday lunch and the place wasn't as busy as I'd expect - which is a shame because it deserves to be. We'll certainly be back for more.

11 of us went last month for my birthday meal and everything about it was fantastic. The staff were lovely and attentive without being over the top, food was delicious and the service was amazing, we all got served at the same time with hot food which doesn't happen often in big groups. Would highly recommend it.

This was a return visit, and there have been some changes. A bar has been opened in the building, very pleasant and ideal to have a drink before your meal. The menu has been extended with more non steak options, we had a real bargain with a three course meal for two with a bottle of wine @ £60. The food was excellent, really could not fault it, and the service good without being obtrusive.Unsurprisingly they are very busy Fri/Sat nights so I would recommend booking.

Having visited Hastings branch we decided to give Eastbourne a go. We were both impressed with the layout and very accomodating staff to fit us in. Food was good (perhaps too much salad) and the waiter very polite. Would recommend.

This restaurant still only opens Thursday to Sunday though. Great steaks, varied cuts and ageing and very well cooked from rare to well done. They have expanded their 'non-steak' options. anyway is really good...

After visiting the Two Bulls in Hastings quite a few times, we decided to come here for a birthday treat. Firstly, the building itself is interesting, quirky with some lovely period features, and on the fringes of town. We booked a few days before and arrived at just after six thirty. Originally we were offered a table in the middle of the room because that seems to be where the couple tables are, which are closely spaced and quite plain. So we asked to move and were duly obliged although we would have to leave our table by nine, fair enough. The atmosphere was quite canteen like and the service business like. We ordered steak, the more expensive longer aged variety, a fillet and a sirloin. The steaks were tasty but not brilliant, mine was cooked perfectly but my partners more rare than medium rare but not so rare as to complain. What we did have to complain about though was the pepper sauce which you have in a little jug as part of the choice with the steaks. Good grief was that salty, as salty as a salty sailor at the seaside, totally inedible. Thanks goodness we hadn't poured it all over the steaks or we would have had to send them back. We asked the waitress to taste it so she could pass comment, she said something about the boillion used to make it (? so?) and she couldn't taste it because she was a vegetarian....hmmm, steak restaurant....whatever. She quickly offered us a choice of other sauces blue cheese and garlic butter both of which were very nice. Exactly nine chunky chips each and a handful of green salad leaves completed the around £25 plate of food. By the way we have had the pepper sauce at the Hastings restaurant a few times and it had never been so salty that you could have gargled with it rather than swallow it. We shared a baked cheesecake which was a generous portion but so- so , very heavy on the cream a bit bland with the cheesecake and the topping was rather tart. The other thing that was very strange was the hot milk for coffee situation. When we first sat down we asked for an Americano with hot milk, and it came with cold,, we queried this and after some delay with the young waiter going to ask if there was such a thing, came back and said it was not possible. After the meal however I asked for two Americanos and they came with frothy hot milk from the coffee machine. Just plain odd. All in all, I think it is a place to go to either when they have the fifty pound deal on which would have included much more than we had including a bottle of wine or go at lunchtime when again they do a great deal. A romantic celebratory sense of occasion place it is not....and without a deal it is pricey. We would go back but only at lunchtime.

Table for six booked for 'between 7:30 and 8:00 and we agreed to meet up in their recently opened Lounge Bar. A lovely spacious bar with a very relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a pre dinner drink. Once everyone had arrived it was through to the main restaurant. The service was very friendly and efficient and the food was superbly cooked to our requirements. All in all a wonderful relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening. Looking forward to the next excuse to visit. My only slight negative was that the Restaurant and the Lounge Bar, whilst being together are apparently run as two separate businesses and hence it is not possible to run a tab for drinks and meals together unless you're drinking wine, which we weren't. A small niggle which certainly didn't detract from a lovely evening. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this for a relaxed evening with wonderful food. Enjoy.

This restaurant has been open a few months now and has improved since the last visit just after it opened. It still only opens Thursday to Sunday though.
Great steaks, varied cuts and ageing and very well cooked from rare to well done. They have expanded their 'non-steak' options. Sides are a bit limited but very well presented.A personal comment of mine (again) is that restaurants should all offer skinny fries as an alternative. Not everyone likes fat chips.
Sweets are varied, good and, unfortunately for the diet!, substantial.Staff are very good, attentive, without being pushy, polite and friendly.

Although all the reviews we had read were good we were truly surprised by the wonderful experience when we took 2 relatives for a meal here. It is a listed building which used to be a pub and although well known locally does not jump out and grab your attention but once inside we were knocked out by the welcome and by the number of diners already there. The menu is mainly steak and the trimmings but what a choice. All the best cuts and properly hung and matured. I long ago gave up ordering steak in restaurants because it was rarely edible but I am now a convert. The food was superb and the desserts to die for. We shall certainly be back and our relatives who are lucky enough to live nearby are going to try the lunchtime menu which is rumoured to include lobster. Make sure you book because it does get very busy.

Went here on a Saturday night as it was recommended by our B&B whilst visiting the area. It's located in the Old Town so it's quite a way from the main Prom where we were staying but it was well worth the trip. We both ordered the aged steak which arrived quite quickly and was perfectly cooked, we both asked for medium rare. The steaks were large and came with big chunky chips and a salad and we ordered mushrooms on the side. The meal was very tasty, the service was very good, friendly and quick and we thought the price was reasonable. They even called a taxi for us at the end of the night. Really enjoyed this meal and would thoroughly recommend.

Really can't understand some if the poorer reviews yes it might be pricier than some restaurants but you are ordering steak at the end of the day and if you want to order chicken or salmon Tec then it is cheaper. I have just spent an amazing evening here the good was top notch and the service was personable, friendly and efficient we were immediately put at ease from the minute we sat down and personally can't wait to return.

Our second visit to this restaurant and were certainly not disappointed. The welcome on arrival was as it should be. We arrived well before our booking and had a nice aperitif in the lounge bar while we waited for our table to be prepared. There are two very positive aspects to this restaurant that contribute significantly to it being a very positive experience - the very attentive and friendly service and t he quality of the steaks. Our meal was excellent. The only slight negative comment on our table were the very thick chips -two out of three dinners would have preferred the French fries option. This restaurant is certainly one of the best experiences of eating out in eastbourne

We found this steakhouse through the good reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed! We ordered a fillet and a sirloin steak with side order of mushrooms. The meal came with chunky chips and a dressed salad, all of which were utterly delicious. My husband was full but was still tempted by the quarter pint of Guinness choc pot which he said was fantastic. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would definitely return if in the area again.

We went to the Two Bulls for a special occasion. We pass it every day and always meant to come in.
It wasn't a dissapointment, but also, not the best either. My husbands rib eye was lovely, but my filet was chewy. It was a nice meal, but I think the prices bring the marks down. Top notch prices but not top notch food!

Well cooked and presented steak. Lovely friendly service. Couldn't fault the place. Small bar attached to the restaurant to have a drink while you wait for your table. We rang and made a reservation last minute and they fit us in with no problems.
