We revisited Two Bulls to see if it had improved from our last visit. It has and we were pleasantly suprised.
The food is OK, although I have discovered I don't like charcoaled steak, so that was a disappointment, but they did say that they will pan fry it instead next time. SO positive. My husband enjoyed his steak.

A Saturday night visit and a busy restaurant. This was our first visit. Have to say loved our starter a mackerel pate :) very tasty but a little short on garnish. I had a T-bone steak again very tasty and the home made chips were Luvly. My wife had the grilled Salmon and again excellent. So all in all a very nice evening and good service from the staff, so if you want a good steak I would recommend this restaurant. Food 8/10 service 10/10 interior 7/10 and atmosphere 7/10

We enjoy a good steak. Unfortunately, this can be a little difficult to find this side of the pond. However, the Two Bulls is an exception. We enjoy a steak REALLY rare (blue) and even in the USA they quite often come overcooked. We have been to the Two Bulls six times now (it's only a short walk away) and each time the steak has been undercooked to perfection! We like their set meal for 2 for £50; sourdough bread with oil & balsamic vinegar, sirloin steak and a chocolate pot desert, washed down with proper Italian pinot grigio. They use a really good dressing on the salads and the desserts are superb. This place used to be a pub (The Tally-Ho) but has been tastefully transformed into a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, I just hope it doesn't fold like so many businesses nowadays.

Visited Two Bulls for lunch with a couple of friends and would heartily recommend to anyone in the area! The food was such good quality and well worth the price (which wasn't bad at all for a steakhouse).
Friendly staff and very attentive, not busy but no reflection of popularity, I imagine it gets pretty busy in the eve, and I shall definitely be returning in the near future.

First time eating here and didn't know what to expect . The service was very good apart from one hiccup when the glass of white wine I ordered didn't appear on the table but was on the bill !! However my husband's steak was very good and so large I had to eat some to help him out ,no hardship ! He had the New York cheese cake which was excellent and refused to share ,which was a bit harsh I fee l. My scallops wrapped in bacon were very good too. They have a good and reasonably priced wine list but no draught beer. We will definitely go again in the near future.

There were 15 of us, seated at two tables,on a Thursday night, when the restaurant only has 2 servers on. Despite this, we all enjoyed the food although there was a bit of a wait for the starters for the larger table. Main courses came quickly and pretty mush at the same time for both tables, with extra chips. Will certainly come again and will recommend others to try it.

My partner and I visited here at the beginning of May and had an excellent meal. We decided to go for the 3 course deal for £50 and it was worth every penny! My partner said he really enjoyed his steak and I had an excellent vegetarian option.
The service was great! The staff were exceptionally friendly! I highly recommend this place. If you're going to Eastbourne or live locally, this place should definitely be visited.

We have previously visited the Two Bulls in Hastings and as other reviewers have mentioned the steak at these establishments is fantastic.
We visited on Thursday 8th May for a family evening meal for three of us.
The staff were very pleasant and welcoming and were very helpful throughout the meal. We were offered an extra portion of chips (which were absolutely lovely) at no extra charge.
However, we did have to ask for water on a number of occasions and it eventually did come.
I opted for the aged Sirloin Steak cooked rare. It was perfectly cooked. Nonetheless it lacked the beautiful flavour which I had previously enjoyed in the Hastings restaurant and although the steak was very good, it was slightly disappointing. This was the unanimous consensus of our party. If this had been served anywhere else I would have been pleased but by Two Bulls' standards I think it should have been more flavoursome.
The starter of sour dough bread, however, was much better than the Hastings restaurant and more substantial. The olives were soggy and squishy but were perfectly okay.
Overall our bill came to a little over £100 and we were all finished in just over an hour. We did not think this represented good value, but considered it to be probably fair value considering the quality and reputation of the restaurant. We did not leave with the same "wow" factor as we had experienced in the Hastings restaurant.
We, therefore, would return to the Hastings restaurant but not the Eastbourne Restaurant.

We went here for my husbands birthday with another couple and we had the most AWESOME steaks ever! I had a 52 day matured steak with oven chips and salad and almost bought another.
Our friends ordered different steaks on the menu and enjoyed it thoroughly ! It is a bit pricey but it`s worth it!The house wine was perfect as well as the ambiance and the staff was lovely and helpful!! Do go there for any special occasion...it money well spent!

Amazing meal. Delicious, well presented. Steak cooked to perfection. Friendly, attentive staff. Great surroundings. This place is just such a great find. So welcoming, great food. Had a fantastic evening. If you are in or near Eastbourne, this is a great place to go.

From then, the food was delicious, service was attentive without being overbearing. Sophie was great fun and helpful, accommodating our adaptations to the great value deal of three courses and a bottle of wine for £50.
If you can make it through the meal and leave room for the banoffi pie, then team it up with the salted caramelized ice cream, it's enormous in size and amazingly good!

Fab setting, amazing staff and on top of that, the food was out of this world!!!! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, definitely not to be missed! I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best steak I've ever had.

We've been eager to visit Two Bulls since it opened, but have only just managed our first visit. Heard a lot of good things before we went and I have to say we weren't disappointed..! The service was great and very welcoming, the food was first class with decent sized, very tasty steak. The menu is varied enough without being too large and there's plenty of choice for non steak lovers. This along with a great choice of starters and desserts means we'll be back again...! The one thing that lets the place down a little is the lavatories. They are a little run down but apparently they are being redecorated in the near future.

what a surprise!!down for a theatre long weekend we never visit tthe same place twice ,that rule went out the window!!the meal was superb,every mouthful a delight the sauces are made en situe as an ex mn officer on the cruise ships all is on par if not better, wonderful people so relaxing in every way, will definately return, would reccomend the cajun chicken,mouthwatering is not good enough. the sunday *thursday three courses +bottle of pino is not to be missed can,t wait to get back to try other dish,s

We first visited the Two Bulls last year and returned again today, the first time we went it was amazing and the second time was still brilliant. The staff are really friendly and attentive, you can see the chefs and their always happy, they played pulling funny faces with our little boy who giggled away at them. The steak was excellent and I can't recommend it highly enough!

The restaurant is incredible so lovely ,steak was amazing done my steak how I like it so beautiful and amazingly tasty with chunky golden chips and fresh salad ;) mmmm yum... Even the place its self is spectacular as well as the food... Everyone staff/family such wonderful lovely people... Go to steakhouse Eastbourne marvellous best place ever !! The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is excellent! I chose Cajun Chicken, which was cooked to perfection and really moist. My husband had a cheeseburger with fries and salad and was very impressed with his meal. We also ordered a couple of tasty side dishes as well. Unfortunately we were too full to eat dessert, which was a shame as they sounded really tempting. We definitely intend to return here for another meal and will recommend Two Bulls Steakhouse to our friends and family.

Me and my Dad ordered two rib-eye steaks, he chose the more matured one while I went for the least matured so that we could compare the two. We. Were. Impressed. My one, despite being excellent in taste and texture, wasn't even a shade on the matured one. In my opinion, it was the perfect steak. Overall the service was great and the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and chatty. The decor was unique yet fitting, the paintings and antlers really add to the whole feel of the meal. Great food, great staff, great night. We will be back.

Went here on the 6/4/14 and in writing the review while still here. We came here for my girlfriends 21st birthday and where not disappointed. The inside is great, well done. The service is fantastic the staff actually are attentive and willing to help. The food itself is great the steak was top notch. I had mine medium rare and its nice to see the staff can hit a good steak! Only thing on the food was there is a lot of salad and a lack of chips but where where offered more free so that's fine a complement to the place. For our starter they where out of bread so we where upgraded free of charge.
As for cost, as a student spending £50 on food is always hard! But it it was well worth it and I would not hesitate to do again.Well recommended if you like steak then come here you wont be upset!

Really friendly, warm atmosphere as soon as you enter. Staff offered recommendations on selections, and advise on best way to enjoy the different cuts. Ordered Point end cut, rare, and it was melt in the mouth delicious. The Sea salt & caramel ice cream was gorgeous. Three hours later we left feeling that we had had wonderful food, drink, and great value for money. A little gem!
