A family birthday meant 8 of us booked for Sunday lunch. They have a special lunch menu with a few items on it. Most went for the 6oz sirloin steak and chips £8 - my wife and I had the steak satay skewer £8. The service was perfect and friendly and the meals arrived swiftly and cooked exactly how ordered. My steak was beautfully succulent and melted in my mouth. The chunky chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside. Everyone was very happy with their meal.
Although the meals were filling the desert menu was too tempting not to try so I shared the roasted peanut banoffee pie and others had the cheesecake. It's was all delicious and the portions were huge.
Will definitely be returning.

What great transformation and nice restaurant which is open on Sundays. Great food and deal £50 for 3 course meal for two and bottle of wine was just perfect. Fillet cooked to perfection. Over very nice evening with great food and good service.

My husband and I were taken here by family on a recent visit to Eastbourne. The steak was cooked perfectly to taste and requirements and the service was very good. Will visit again when next in the area.

This was the second time I've visited the two bulls and it has been a fantastic experience both times.
From the moment you arrive the staff are friendly and approachable and can't do enough for you. I especially like the fact they ask you whether you would like your ale to be served from the fridge or at room temperature!
The food was again superb, and due to my friend talking rather a lot I finished mine before he was even half way through, the waitress spotted this and came over and offered me a bowl of chips so I wasn't sat there with an empty plate (clearly my fault!) which was complementary.
This place is simply brilliant, and I will continue to recommend it to anyone who simply likes steak or wants to go out for a special meal

been twice now and have and have had the same great evening both times.
Not the poshest restaurant ever but its not trying to be. They do what they do perfectly. Great service (didn't have to ask for anything - waitresses just got it all right) and great no perfect food! Its not the cheapest place either but I don't mind paying the right price if everything outlined here applies. If you want cheaper bargain type places - there are plenty so go there instead!
Place was once again packed. Not a huge menu but again - they do what they do fabulously. Simple brilliant food!
Thanks - yum!! Puds fab too!!!

Went on the recommendation of friends who had been to the one in Hastings. It's a bit squashy inside and you sit very very close to other people. That's ok if you don't mind, I do. The steak was lovely cant fault that, but the rest of the plate was half a bag of mixed lettuce and 5 chips! My other half had a bigger steak and his was the same, lovely steak, 5 chips and the other half of my bag of lettuce. Yes the chips(fries) are hand cut and double fried, but they are just posh chips.we had starters each, steak meal and shared a bottle of wine. £75. Value ..no

Thought my friends and I would support our local restaurants. Never having been inside the building before I wasn't sure what to expect. Inside the venue was immaculate and excellent front of house service, the food for a lunchtime menu was large and cooked exceptionally. The staff were very helpful regrading special dietary requirements, nothing was to much bother.
Returned the following day with the other half and he raved !! Must have been good!!!
Will definitely return and support good service and good food.
Lunchtime menu very good value for money!! The pub is still making its mark but with such excellent front of house and great food, it won't be long before word gets round.

Set in a castle-like and not thoroughly repurposed pub, the Two Bulls looks anonymous and not overly welcoming from the outside but the quality of the food and informal atmosphere inside will guarantee we go back very soon.
The menu is well considered and quite rightly focused on the meat. I had the mackerel pate and a 12oz chateaubriand and both were excellent, the latter stealing the show as you'd expect. Chips were huge and well cooked and we all raved about the mix of sauces we chose for our steaks.
Desert was the only area that slightly disappointed - the cheeseboard wasn't introduced, the cheeses were very cold and the ciabatta clammy and uncooked. I'd guess the platters had been pre-built and kept in the fridge. Get the cheeses to room temperature, tell us what they are and freshly toast the bread and we would have had a perfect meal.
A great quality local restaurant that deserves to be supported by the steak lovers of Eastbourne!

Amazing dry-aged steak, cooked on a charcoal grill, salad and chips. Sounds like a simple meal but difficult to get right and here they do. Even the chips were special- large crispy on the outside and floury inside. Good choice of red wine by the glass. If only other restaurants would follow their lead and focus on a short menu of quality ingredients that they can do really well.

My husband and I went for an early supper with our 4 year old daughter last Friday, the staff were so accommodating and so friendly which made us and our little one immediately feel completely at ease. All 3 of us chose steaks (sadly not having time for starters) and we all loved every single delicious 'melt in your mouth' gorgeous mouthful. The steaks were so incredibly tender (even our 4 year old's which was well done) and really really tasty. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. We both agreed with our daughter when she announced "Oh my goodness, this is the most delicious meat I have ever tasted!" - a 4 year old gourmet!! Everything else was equally fab, yummy chunky chips, delicious salad and scrummy puddings and quaffable wine. We will definitely be going again, hopefully very often! Thank you Two Bulls!!

Decided to go spur of the moment for Lunch today.
We were greeted by a friendly lady and shown our table - it was a nice big spacious booth. We had the olives and sourdough bread to start. I could have eaten several bowls of olives!
4/5 of us had a steak (all different) only one steak was not cooked exactly the way was asked - my Dad asked for medium-rare but it was more rare than anything - however he absolutely loved it! I ordered the special lamb - I always have to have mint sauce with my lamb - however I didn't even ask for any as it looked so good - and it was - I ate it all and there was plenty of it.Would definitely recommend the peanut butter banoffee pie - big enough for two to share.
Looking forward to going back!!

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime as a last minute decision as we had been meaning to try out the re-opened former Tally-Ho for a while.
The staff were friendly, professional and very efficient.
The food was exceptional, especially at the fixed lunchtime price with steak cooked exactly as expected.
Will definitely be back for an evening and to sample the finer steaks and fabulous looking desserts!

All home MADE dishes, coleslaw, jumbo chips, desert, this and the fabulous tender steaks cooked to perfection and all the sauces and dressings you could wish for, makes The Two Bulls restaurant the best you could get. Not to mention the olde pub ambiance, comfy seats and candles and fresh flowers. Terrific menus , no grease, dressing on the salad, could be omitted for preference or ask if wanted, but it was good for us but maybe not for everyone. It will be a regular for us. Ps the staff were excellent, welcoming and attentive. Ps the Rioja was superb.

Our first visit and may I say it was terrific.
The menu very clear and understandable with a varied selection. The starter was great.
Our steaks my T Bone and my wife's chateaubriand fillet were cooked to perfection, the chips were novel in their chunky presentation but great, maybe a little fresher salad and not so herby dressing (but that's a minor issue). The puddings were great were both great and the coffee gorgeous, which for a non-coffee drinking wife to say that makes it brilliant.
The attentive staff from all quarters was most welcome, from the owner giving me a guided tour of the maturing beef joints and what cuts came from where was very educational. The dark haired young lady believed to be his daughter was a credit to the organisation. Well Done!

Went for lunch just after opening and it was very quiet so did lack a little atmosphere but I guess thats to be expected with a new opening. The steaks were incredible and the service was great too. We will be returning.

First visit this evening, steaks to die for, perfectly cooked, best eaterie in Eastbourne after the Mirabelle at the grand. Great service delightfully helpful staff, fab food, great ambiance. Apparently no salad cream, but who the hell prefers salad cream to mayo???!!! Try the Rioja if you think the wine list is a bit limited, very nice.
