We stayed at this hotel last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel rooms were excellent and we all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable beds we had ever slept in. Cleanliness was top notch and we could not fault the cleaning services. Yes there was a fire alarm in the early hours which resulted in a disturbed first night but we decided to see the funny side rather than let it ruin our weekend, after all there are worse things that could happen. The new swimming pool was open and we really enjoyed this facility, the changing rooms were fantastic with wonderful showers and the pool was great especially as we had it all to ourselves!
Food was good, my husband and I ate in the Victor Hugo restaurant on our second night and although the the restaurant could do with an update decor wise ( it is VERY 80's!!) the food and service was excellent.
We also had a meal in the bar on our first night which was very good and again the service was first class. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice on offer. Reception was a little hit and miss we were often dealing with a young man who did not have a great deal of understanding of the English language and seemed not to know what he was doing a lot of the time but again we did not get too agitated about it.
We would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to others wishing to visit the beautiful island of Guernsey.

This Hotel is certainly worth checking out! Wonderful service, friendly staff and the food is excellent. I could not fault our stay at the St. Pierre, a short walk into the centre but the local buses are frequent and cost £1 only! The new spa complex due to open soon looks amazing. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and lacks for nothing when it comes to comfort. There is a nine hole golf course too.

We had two nights at the St. Pierre Park with a group of friends. On arrival, check in took an age as there were only two people checking in a large number of people whilst managers sat in the background failing to come front of house. We had booked an Executive room but when we saw it, it was anything but. Small, too much furniture and strangely, a small balcony that you could hardly get onto as it had a table and one chair that filled the space. Far from the relaxing place for two of you to sit overlooking the gardens! At Reception we were told that all the balconies on the top floor were like this.
Reluctantly, they changed our room and we were given a more pleasant room with a larger balcony on the same floor as Reception so at least you could sit on it. We had a meal in the evening and the food wasn't good. My wife and I had the feta cheese with peppers that was ill thought out with large slices of feta and not much else. For the main course I had steak that was tough and my wife had scallops that were the only scallops that she said she had ever tried to eat that were very gritty and most unpleasant. Pudding couldn't really go wrong as we had chosen cheese.
The highlight of the stay was the breakfasts that were served in a pleasant dining room with plenty of choice and you had the option of freshly cooked omelettes or such things as haddock and poached eggs. No complaints about breakfast except that you often had to stand around waiting to be shown to your table as staff were off doing other things.
The first night we were treated to a fire alarm at approximately 2.30am. I went to Reception to see what was going on and was told we could vacate 'if we wanted to'!! We decided not to and sat on our balcony for the duration as we were on the ground floor and could easily get to the gardens. No-one seemed to know what was going on and it transpired we weren't the only ones who didn't vacate and no roll call was seemingly taken to see who was still in their rooms - lessons to be learnt there.
The second night's buffet meal was better than the first but be warned that wine is £10.50p a large glass for run of the mill Pinot Grigio. Three glasses each came in an £63 - ouch!
The second night saw our function upstairs, another function in the basement and two wedding parties with loud music. This was due to finish at midnight and in fairness it did but I sat on my balcony for the last 20 minutes whilst the music played as there was little point in trying to sleep whilst the discos were in operation. Some of our group said that once the discos finished they were kept awake until about 2.30am as staff cleared one of the wedding venues and set up with tables and chairs for breakfast the next day.
Management needs to take a closer look at detail, bedside lights that weren't working due to blown bulbs, unswept balconies, flowers beds on balconies that look to have woody geraniums and little else from last summer that all gives a feeling of lack of attention to detail.
Would we return to the St. Pierre Park, no and I know that others in our group felt the same. Disappointing and I can't say I was impressed.

Brilliant understated very tasteful hotel. Staff very attentive to client needs. Excellent choice for breakfast. Bar meals good value for money. Room ample size . On a bus route to the town . Would definitely stay again. Had swimming pool which was a good size together with a steam room. Work was being done near by in the hotel but that did not affect your swim. Also there was a nice walk around the grounds and a small children's play area.

A very pleasant hotel, near to the centre of St Peter Port,. Clean, tidy very comfortable with very helpful staff. The food was also top class. The only downside was very few rooms had walk in showers, which if your mobility is impaired is a bit tricky.

This is a high spec hotel ideal for a quiet and relaxing weekend. A mature party of travellers did not appreciate the fire alarm being set off apparently accidentally by a member of staff at 2.30 in the morning to be followed the next night by not one but two discos at either end of the hotel with loud beat music till midnight. This ruined what should have been a delightful weekend with all amenities in beautiful surroundings. The hotel needs to decide who it is trying to appeal to and not give the impression of a peaceful retreat when this is not the case.

Recently stayed for a couple of nights and the. New pool is now open just the rest of the health club to be finished supposed to be open by July. Tried the new tapas from the bar menu I had prawns, patatas bravas and calamari. All were good but the patatas bravas was not like others I have eaten. It was more like tomato sauce on boiled potatoes I would have liked a little more spice and crunch I this dish perhaps slicing the potatoes frying them and adding some chilli or paprika. All the bar meals i saw looked very good I will be back in a couple of months.

We stayed in this super hotel on the advice of our travel agent whose mum had stayed there, our stay was only 4 days which was a shame but we will be returning. our room on the first floor was not overly large but was very clean and comfortable with a balcony with a table and two chairs so if we wanted we could sit and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun.
We also overlooked a guest tennis court and part of the golf course.
We were escorted to our table for breakfast and were served orange juice tea/coffee and toast but helped our selves for anything cooked, there was also a 'free from' table which being a coeliac I found extremely helpful but a word of caution the cereals are not gluten free so I would advise taking your own as I did, but gluten free toast was provided for myself.
We found all the staff to be extremely efficient at all times and they were all really lovely people.
We cannot wait to go back but for a much longer stay next time.

Upon arrival to the Hotel we were greeted by the friendly and courteous operations manager, Shaun McSomething, who showed us to the front desk for a seamless check in. Dutch, A young Swedish trainee offered to assist us with our bags, which was a nice and professional touch.

The room (256) was clean, with a balcony which was a lovely suntrap in the late afternoon that overlooked a small park and the lake which was pleasant. The room its self had a large very comfortable bed, plenty of space and a snazzy coffee machine, what else!. The bathroom was also nice, the water pressure in the shower was perfect. the only downside to the room was the noisy occupant in 254 (I wouldn't dare to dream what he was up to) but as we spent very little time in the room, I won't hold that against the hotel!. On the first night I wasn't impressed the pillow but by the second night my head and neck had adjusted and I had what could only be described as an adequate and full nights sleep.

The breakfast options were extensive, I particularly enjoyed gluten free chocolate flavoured rice puffs. full cooked and continental breakfast options were available with the expected choices of tea, coffee, juices etc. The service could have been slightly quicker but I was never in a rush.

One of my personal highlights were the complimentary mints, sweets and postcards that were available from reception. Its the little extras that count.

I conclusion I would come back in a heart beat, if invited................or welcome

Stayed for 5 days whilst visiting Guernsey.
Nice smart clean hotel.....the staff are VERY efficient but could be a little warmer.
We had a garden room which was a little dark for me and had no windows just a patio door which we had to leave open all night for air.
Food in the resteraunt and bar was......excellent., I mean really excellent.!
Pool and sauna were closed for refurb.

Having stayed at the one of the sister hotels of the group (L'Horizon) I would say I was generally disappointed with this hotel.

While it was generally clean and to a 3* standard, I guess I had higher expectations. If you are into golf, and don't mind eating in the dog house pub round the corner every night then this hotel is fine. Rooms are comfortable and have the usual things like free wifi etc as standard.

I felt the hotel is mainly used for functions by local residents of business visitors, I really feel like it lacked any sort of friendly atmosphere and generally the staff where not to interested in helping out visiting tourists.

Stayed for a few days break here with my husband in March, have to say from the moment we arrived everything was perfect, staff were pleasant, room was superb, very good size, good size bathroom with both bath with shower over, both very clean and tidy. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was perfect. Even though the hotel was under going some re development of its leisure facilities, it did not impact at all on our stay. Was nice to return to our room in the evening to find our curtains drawn and the bed turned back, and the lamp on and the room was warm, as the evenings were a bit chilly. Will definitely return at some point.

Enjoyed a quick break at this hotel. Rooms delightful with huge double beds. Toiletries provided and tea/coffee facilities in room. Hairdryer and iron available as well as a safe. Room service available too.
Nighttime turn down service.
Concierge and Reception staff very helpful with queries and directions.
Good size car park, taxis have to be ordered but we hired a car, you really need one to get around easily.
Very clean rooms, quality furniture too.
The spa was closed for refurbishment but a temporary facility was available at a nearby hotel. I had a massage though in a temporary room which was good and reasonably priced. There is an extensive menu of spa options and when it opens in May it should be fab.
Overall an enjoyable stay and I would return.

My husband and I booked an Easter weekend away at St Pierre Park hotel and was very pleased with our overall stay.

The staff were friendly and professional (particularly a young Romanian lady serving us in the bar area - sorry I didn't catch her name). The room was clean and spacious with a large balcony area and outdoor seating. The bed was large enough that we could both sleep in a star position!

The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from and my husband ordered American style pancakes one morning from the menu and was very pleased.
On Easter Sunday we booked an afternoon tea with the hotel and had a fab selection of sandwiches, scones, hot cross buns and miniature cakes. Well worth the £15 pp.

The hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk into the main town (St Peter Port) with bus routes that run along the main road also.

Sadly they are renovating the swimming pool area at the moment (which I was aware of before booking) but I look forward to visiting again when these facilities are back up and running.

This is my second time I am staying in St. Pierre Park Hotel for business travels. The staff is friendly and helpful, I don't know why other had different experience. Check-in, check-out is fast. My first room was a bit noisy but got another one in less than 5 minutes.

Breakfast is superb, restaurant has its standard quality (try the signature burger!). The waiter made a small mistake (forgot to tell that fries were included so I ordered extra side) and immediately compensated by offering a coffee at no charge - this doesn't always happen at 5 star hotels either.

Did not try the spa - this time it was undergoing renovation, but the staff offered me vouchers for another location nearby.

Booked for a long weekend just the two of us,, found the room average nothing special nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the 4* rating
Housekeeping was very good and staff friendly
Breakfast was not buffet each day as advertised probably due to not enough people being there.
Booked for a couples spa treatment but wasn't told that the whole spa area was closed and all treatments are being completed in makeshift separate bedrooms ,,,, not quiet the pamper session we envisaged
The whole hotel is in need of serious cleaning and bringing up to date very 80's

My wife and I came back to the St Pierre Park for the third time in three years. Just as the last times we had an enjoyable stay. The rooms are large and all have balconies although it was much too cold to take advantage of them. The bed is a king size and I have never seen so many pillows in a hotel before. We found it very comfortable.
We found the staff all very welcoming and friendly. Bar staff and those in the restaurant were very efficient.
The food at breakfast was of good quality and there was a great choice. We did find it not very hot at times. We had bar meals that were good. We didn't particularly like the Eton mess - We have had better.
Renovations were taking place in the hotel but it did not spoil our stay.
The one down side of this hotel is its location . It is a 25 to 30 minute walk into St Peters Port. However there are buses that go to the centre and they are fairly frequent. Taxis are plentiful but I find them quite expensive in Guernsey,
Would we stay here again? - Probably, is a nice hotel with welcoming staff and (once the renovations are completed) good facilities that include a Spa and a swimming pool.

I stayed here recently for a couple of nights. Breakfast was good and my room was clean and pleasant. I would be perfectly happy to stay here again but did regret that the sauna/pool area was closed for renovations until the summer. (We were offered the chance to use other facilities in a different establishment.) If that matters to you, I'd check if it has reopened before you book.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from the centre which is probably healthy.

Nice room and good service.

Wasn't so fussed on my room service food but very quick.

Spa was small but nice and I had it all to myself so very happy.

Reception staff were very helpful and showed me around and breakfast had a great selection if not alittle slow getting food out.

Stayed here for one night over the Valentine weekend . It was a package deal . Not cheap and we expected a few ' hearts and flowers ' as experienced in other hotels on this special night . Rather disappointed to say the least . Talking to friends who stayed in other hotels on the island and looking at their photos we certainly got the short straw. Little touches make all the difference but St Pierre Park provided none . The evening meal started with tired looking canapés and ended with Chocolates with a Christmas theme !! This made us laugh but not really what you expect from a 4 star hotel .
I like St Pierre park but this was a real let down . Buffet at breakfast was lacking hot foods , not kept replenished adequately and the most anaemic looking sausages I've ever encountered . Obviously oven cooked . Yuck .
Come on St Pierre Park . What's gone wrong ?
