We had a three night stay with a group of friends. We received fantastic service throughout our stay. A great welcome when we arrived, very good service at the bar and we did keep them busy.
Food was very good we had a private dining room on the Saturday night.
The only negative is the walls in the rooms are very thin & you can hear every conversation in the next room..
Would defiantly return.

A lovely hotel with great facilities, excellent helpful and friendly staff. Super helpful with dietary restrictions as having to follow a gluten free diet. My mother who is 85 loves the pool and my sisters I have enjoyed the gym and sauna and steam room. The food at the Pavilion was really good although the service was a little muddled. The grounds are lovely and our room has a lovely balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel. They go the extra mile even lending a wheelchair for our mother

We missed our ferry back to the UK on Thursday so had to stay overnight. Condor Ferries booked us a room at this beautiful hotel. On arrival we were greeted by nice friendly helpful staff and our check inn was quick.

The room we were given was spotlessly clean nice bright and welcoming. The ground of the hotel are beautiful and well kept. We had a meal in the bar which was nice fresh and excellent value.

The breakfast has to be the best I've had, everything was hot and fresh and such a good selection of fruit cold meats cheese bread a juice bar as well as the traditional English. The staff were excellent ensuring everything was cleared away immediately.

This has to be one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay, the location is ideal on the island and is set in lovely grounds. The rooms were cleaned to an excellent standard although a little decor a little tired eg loose wall lights and carpets that could have down with replacing, all staff that we met were all very friendly, polite and helpful. The terrace bar area seating was grubby/tired and needs to cleaned or recovered we also ate in here twice and found the tables to low for the seating which made it uncomfortable to eat a meal without your stomach feeling cramped up, the food was very good though. Breakfast had a good choice although on one morning was cold from the hot buffet. We ate in the Victor Hugo restaurant too and found it a costly experience although the food was good and lacked some flavor and there was not a lot of it. We are not big eaters and normally only have 2 courses but had to order dessert which again a very small portion and still did not feel that satisfied, the restaurant dining area was very nice though. Overall a nice hotel but could be improved

The positives of this hotel are the grounds and the spa which are truly delightful. The location is fine, being a comfortable walk into town and well placed for buses around the Island. Less pleasing aspects relate to sleep quality and a health and safety issue. The first room allocated was 328 which appeared to be ideal. It was clean, bright, fairly spacious and had beautiful views of the lake. The downside was what initially seemed to be a rather noisy extractor fan linked to the bathroom but ignored as they usually only run for a few minutes. Only later on returning to the room did it become obvious that the engine noise was still running and appeared to be even louder. It was not from the bathroom but from a room next door. The reception staff were notified and explained that it was the exractor from the bar downstairs and would switch off at midnight., it did not and actually continued ALL night. As the headboard was attached to the adjoining wall, the noise and the vibration resulted in no sleep at all. Early next morning I spoke to the duty manager who said she would try to find another 'quieter' room. We repackaged all are belongings, went out for the morning and returned to find our cases in a top floor room overlooking the gardens. Pleasant enough but certainly tired and in need of a deep clean. Spent the whole afternoon catching up on lost sleep and not exploring the Island as planned. When getting ready for the evening meal I sat at the desk to put makeup on and the chair collapsed. As a rather petite 5'2" lady this was, to say the least, a rather unique shock. On further inspection it was found that the chair had been glued together on a previous occasion and should really have been condemned. Someone older or larger than myself could have incurred quite a serious injury rather than jus a shock. Again reception were informed and they said maintaince would be advised and a replacement chair would be provided. When checking out two days later this had still not happened.

We booked a standard double room with front view. It offered everything we needed. The room was serviced every day and kept spotless. We were delighted to be greeted by a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket by the evening of our first day - due to admitting that my husband would be celebrating his birthday while we were there. This was in answer to the reception staff asking us if our stay was for some special reason. What a thoughtful touch! We booked bed and breakfast and enjoyed a full range of hot and cold foods for breakfast as well as being able to ask for dishes to be cooked specially for us. The porridge I ordered was perfect. During our stay we had an evening meal in the brasserie. The service was efficient and the selection and quality from the menu was very good. We greatly enjoyed the indoor heated swimming pool and spa facilities - no extra charge for using these. The jacuzzi was for mixed bathing and the sauna and steam rooms were located in each of the male/female changing rooms. Towels and bath robes were provided free for each user. I understand that the spa and pool will be refurbished in the near future. (Autumn 2015) I had noticed that the interior of the steam room was in need of attention - fine cracks in the ceiling and walls. The grounds are south facing with a lake and resident ducks. There are many places to sit and enjoy the view. A golf club is within the grounds. It is a place we'd certainly visit again. The hotel deserves the 4 star rating.

We stayed here for a couple of nights when we was delayed due to ferry cancellations.
We eat in the terrace bar on both nights, and the service and food was good. All staff was friendly and helpful.
It is a little bit out of town centre, but it's on a frequent bus route, and buses are cheap and easy to use on the island. (We didn't want to take the car).
We would stay again.

We have stayed in this hotel twice previously,it is nice to see that the standards are as high as ever, wherever the staff are trained they are doing a excellent job, that is right from the sweepers up outside to the GM,they are all friendly, and always go the extra mile if needed, the rooms are a good size, very clean, with a good selection of teas and coffee, and real coffee as well.the leisure centre is very nice, good size pool, lovely towels provided, the lake is nice to walk around as is the golf course,it is a short journey into the port itself, busses only 2 min from the hotel door.
We enjoy the great breakfast,it is buffet type, plenty of choice, good hot selection which is replenished regularly, thank you GM and staff for once again making our 9 nights stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

This is a wonderful place to stay, the reception staff were the most friendly I've ever met and the couldn't do enough for you to make your stay perfect, the room had a great view and a small balcony the tea and coffe facilities were not just your spare selection of packets they had real coffee. The bed was very comfortable and very quiet.
The bar was quite expensive but my company paid for that so i had no complaints

This is our second visit to this hotel and it didn't disappoint. The service by all staff is excellent. The breakfast is amazing with fantastic choice of fruit, cereal, cooked and continental breakfasts. Pancakes with maple syrup were lovely. The rooms were of the same excellent standard, with the welcome addition of a small fridge in the room. Although it is an approx 1 and a quarter mile walk to St Peter Port, it's well worth it.
The pool complex is great but very underused. I swam everyday for 4 days, and most times I had the pool to myself. Hopefully will return in the near future.

Decent standard hotel with a good range of facilities which always helps when the weather isn't great. It's in a good location between St Peter Port and the airport. The swimming pool is perfect for families and those who want to get some lengths in. The staff are friendly, attentive and well informed about the area.

Stayed here for 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a family room with patio doors leading onto a terrace overlooking the lake - lovely ! Beds were the most comfortable we have experienced in a hotel, even my 10yr old commented, and so we slept soundly (although air conditioning would have been a bonus). Tea and coffee supplies, along with bathroom toiletries were good quality and replenished daily. Could have done with a bit more storage for the 3 of us - enough hanging space but maybe some shelves in the wardrobe would be an idea. Still would choose this room again.
Thought the hotel was very family friendly as well as being of a high standard. The staff were very professional and every member of staff we came across was very polite and friendly. We were impressed with the breakfast choices in the beautiful restaurant and enjoyed some banter with Andrei and Kirsten who were around most mornings to look after us as well as the other staff who welcomed us and led us to our table. We also made use of the Terrace bar for our evening meal a few times and found the food and service very good. There was a disturbance in the early hours of our last morning when I awoke with a fright hearing loud banging on a neighbouring bedroom door, I thought it was a fire or something but it seemed to be a domestic and there was quite a commotion, but the staff member trying to drag the offender away was very controlled and handled the situation well though it did go on a while. I thought there might have been something said to the neighbouring bedroom guests the next day but there was no mention.
We were very happy with St Pierre Park and would come back again. We were stuck in Jersey overnight after a day trip, when the flight was cancelled, and so were most upset that we missed out on a night and day in our lovely Guernsey hotel.

This is a goid hotel, well located betwixt tge airport and St Peter Port. It also has good facilities inckuding a golf compkex. It was acquired by Hand Picked Hotels; since the acquisition, not much has changed! The toiletries are better but on the downside the sound proofing between the rooms needs improving along with the duvets / bed linen. Not at all bad but could be so much better!

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff and good facilities. Convenient location for St Peter Port and the rest of the island. My husband swam in the pool every day and took a golf lesson. Room was clean and comfortable. Small balcony useful as I am a smoker! Lovely comfy bed.

We had a one night stay during a business trip and looked for 4 star hotels in and around St Peter Port, we booked this as it had a golf course that we could hire clubs/shoes during our stay. It is a taxi ride from the town but only cost £6 each way and taxi's were plentiful. Room was clean and had everything a 4 star should have, it is an old hotel but well looked after. We used the swimming pool and sauna very good but if you are a couple the saunas are in the changing room so they are segregated, bit odd? We didn't eat in so can't comment on the food but breakfast had a great choice and service was good. We didn't play golf in the end as it poured down but did have a knock on the driving range. Would stay again.

Only stayed for one night on a business trip. Arrived late, left early. Can't fault it at all. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean. Too late for dinner. Too early for breakfast. Taxi arrived on time to head back to the airport. Would stay there again.

Returned to St Pierre Park for a second time and it definately didn't disappoint, rooms as previously were extremely clean, spacious and light,we had the added bonus of a garden view balcony which was lovely, adjoining bedroom for our children was also extremely clean, perfect size for the two of them!

Great selection of food at breakfast with either help yourself buffet style or selected foods on the menu kippers, poached eggs and homemade American pancakes with maple syrup (lovely)

We ate in the Terrace Bar most evenings as it has more of a relaxed feel and the service we received was brilliant,Sebastian in particular provided us with excellent service and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble (especially when dealing with a fussy 5yr old dinner requests!)

All the staff here are welcoming, friendly and helpful, can't wait to stay again.

This hotel is set in very beautiful grounds, with a lake and lovely gardens. We arrived early afternoon, and was greeted by very pleasant reception staff who booked us in very efficiently, and pass us over to the concierge, who took our cases and us to our room and showed us the facilities. We had a very clean and bright good sized room, with very comfortable beds (two good sized singles set together to make a superking size. The bedding was exceptionally soft cotton we slept very well there.

The restaurant served excellent food, and the breakfasts were amazing.

The Spa, was clean and very adaquate, the swimming pool was a good size, but it was a little crowded when I was there, but I am sure that was down to my timing. There was a sauna and steam room and good changing and showering facilities.

Just across the road from the main entrance is a big Waitrose supermarket, for all your needs, and wherever you are in Guernsey, you will be near a beach, shops or entertainment.

Without any doubt I will stay there again without any hesitation.

This report might be useful if brought to the attention of the recently appointed marketing and Sales Manager for Handpicked Hotels, Suzanne Kirk, who has responsibility for the 3 hotels on the island, of which St Pierre is one of them!

Firstly, the Good ... The spa and pool were really lovely, set in delightful gardens and all the staff were all friendly and helpful. The central location of the hotel is also a positive. Nice rooms, a bit dated but lovely big super comfy beds, pillows and duvets.

The Bad ... No air con in the rooms resulting in the need to leave the patio door open at night to keep the room cool, not good if you are on the car park/entrance side can be noisy, bedroom walls also quite thin as we could overhear normal conversations in adjacent rooms. Bit of investment in air con would be good in bedrooms especially as it was in other areas of the hotel. No fridge or security safe in room, a safe is available free behind reception but a bit tedious for staff and guests when busy. Also consider getting some soft closers on all the bedroom doors to prevent being disturbed from banging doors at all hours of the night. Very expensive drinks and food in the restaurant, meals better in the bar. This hotel prides itself on trying to reduce its carbon footprint so why are the rooms being made up with fresh towels everyday even when asked not to? At check out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay, missed opportunity for feedback there!

The Downright Ugly .... Stag parties...no, no, no!!!

My husband and I stayed between 5th and 9th August 2015, Overall our stay was ok but this hotel could be great with a little work!

Myself and my family recently spent a week at this hotel service, spa facilities and cleanliness all good my only complaints were although the breakfasts were good it took them a long time to replenish them.i also thought our room was too small for the 3 of us and for £1200 a week in a hotel u would like to think your room would be spacious, that's really the only thing that would put me off booking this hotel again, because that was not the room I had agreed on the phone when booking

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island.
My room was spacious and clean.
The pool area is even nicer in reality than the pictures and gym is adequate.
I enjoyed my evening meal, with food quality and service getting top marks.

The position is fine - 25 minutes walk into St Peter Port but taxi ride of only around £5-6. The spa facilities are good and the pool size is reasonable for a hotel. The bedrooms need some decoration as they feel a bit shabby but the rooms are very clean and facilities are fine (although check what your room should contain or the inclusions within your deal and make sure these are all included). The staff are friendly and - some reception staff and restaurant staff are very good but I would say that the customer care culture of staff generally needs improving so service is good consistently not a nice surprise when it happens. We were on a deal where dinner was included so ate in the main restaurant 4 nights - I would say food quality is generally very good. The bar food was good but a little inconsistent but generally good. My main issue with the hotel was around their billing and issue management. We were overcharged by £1,200 prior to our visit and then during our visit our dining room bills were wrongly calculated and we could have paid £113 more than we actually spent. I suspect ours can't be an isolated case of this so if you stay please check your bills thoroughly. We had an issue with rowdy inappropriate guests next door and the staff were very slow to resolve this which resulted in my children moving rooms at midnight. The hotel were nice about it all but we (and other guests) felt that the culprits were allowed to get away with the issue where wee had the inconvenience of a disturbed night, having to pack our room up, move rooms etc. in the end we were given a refund for the room rate for the night but to me this was not the point - the noise should, have been resolved more quickly so people didn't have to move rooms etc.

The billing issues and the incident and how it was handled coloured our view of the hotel along with it needing some redecoration. I felt it was expensive against the general and overall experience offered. Highlights are the spa and health facilities, the golf facilities and the fact that it's on Guernsey!

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting family (who were having building works done)

The receptionists were helpful and charming. As were the servers at breakfast and the room service waiter (albeit we had to chase up room service after 40 minutes to discover they hadn't taken our room number down properly and so had to wait for us to call)

Breakfast was amazing. Full English buffet style lots of choice with lovely soft scrambled eggs. Even had gluten free cereals and toast. We also had a family meal from the carvery on the Sunday which was very good-seafood and salad to start, very well roasted meat and veg and generous selection of desserts

I liked the bar and the view over the lake as well as the board games. I only wish we could have managed to get massages on the Sunday but they were fully booked

Our room had a massive bed, lots of pillows and a lovely balcony.

Now for the slight negatives. We did book a double room online and got a good deal-which is likely why we got a dated room. There were large pink marks in the bath (wear and tear) and the wooden furniture was scuffed especially the wardrobe. Despite there being 2 of us we only had one bath robe-we asked for a second one after the first night but it never arrived. The teabags used on the first night were not restocked in the room nor were the toiletries unlike most 4 star hotels. A bit strangely we left half drunk beer and cider glasses by the tea tray so they could be easily cleared away-but these were still there after the room was cleared.

I think if we had paid for a more expensive room these niggles wouldn't have happened so I'd recommend upgrading if you can. I do hope the hotel upgrades some things though to prevent what is a lovely hotel looking shabby (carpet in the lift for example)

Overall a nice stay which could easily have been perfect

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night break with our 9 year old daughter. We all said how comfortable the beds are and how well we all slept. Breakfast we very nice and we sat overlooking the lake and fountain. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and willing to help. Easy hotel to find with lots of parking.

We asked for a lake view which there was an extra charge. The view was over the lake with a balcony, which was very small but handy to have, as we could open the sliding doors.
The bed was very comfortable, I am thinking it was a king! I had so much space..... There was no noise and sleep was never disturbed.
Breakfast was continental, so good.
Our first night we had a snack in the bar the terrance restaurant was good.
Overall an exceptional stay, left my mobile and charges which were posted back to me in the UK at cost but very good service.
