Visited here on the 26 April 2014 with my husband for my christmas present which was tea with tigers. I have never got so close to such beautiful animals. Our guide Ian was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge about all the big cats and you could tell how much he loved working with them all through his enthusiastic talk! Would recommend this place to anyone, particulary those with children, there is so much to do for children at the park. Loads to see and do. All the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It must be a fantastic place to work as all the staff we came across were smiling and happy in their work.

Visited the Park on a photography trip with my granddaughter. I last visited several years ago and was pleased to see that there had been many improvements. It is clear that the keepers care very much for the animals and are very knowledgeable of the animals in their care. Maggie and Tony looked after us very well and it was a very enjoyable experience.

A good day out we all enjoyed ourselves. Two adults 10 year old and a 2 year old we went with friends. Easy to find and parking good. Thought the 2 year old should be a reduced rate but we had a discount voucher which brought the rather expensive price down. A nice size and lots to see, you can get close to the animals ie Zebras which is interesting. Very friendly keepers who were happy and informative. A highlight was watching a couples Tiger experience. Hand feeding a Tiger through the bars and scratching his huge back! Never seen that before can only imagine what a risk assessement for that would read like. Well worth a visit.

We decided to do a wild wolf encounter not really knowing what to expect, but I have done a photographic day, and as part of it went into the cage with a lynx and got some great pics. So I thought why not, it was amazing to socialise with these beautiful creatures who showed a lot of interest in their visitors. The keepers were so nice and so knowledgeable, what a great day.

Not been to this park since I was a child. It has changed a lot. Although we had no children with us, I could see there was plenty of slides, swings, rides and little parks to keep them amused. However, it was not a dry day, so perhaps a lot of things couldn't be used. The animal park is very good, with several species that you don't see often, like white lions and white tigers. There were talks during the day at various locations on different animals. We watch the cheetahs being fed, they sounded like a cross between dogs and cats when they knew food was on the way. The red panda talk was also very good. We had coffee in the treetops café and were watching the tigers, just a few feet from us. My husband has Alzheimers and thoroughly enjoyed the day, particularly walking through the lorakeets building, when he had several of them on his head. A good day out, albeit perhaps a little expensive for a family, although what isn't these days.

My partner and I have just completed a day shadowing the keepers at Broxbourne wildlife park and we could not recommend this experience highly enough.
The keepers are incredibly helpful and knowledgable on their particular areas and quite clearly only have the animals best interests in mind. They each helped to make the day particularly special.
The package is definitely good value for money and I would highly recommend to anyone else looking at booking a similar experience.

This wildlife park is miles better than any of the mainstream zoos and the staff help to make the overall experience a very enjoyable one.

My husband and I visited Paradise Wildlife Park over Easter and were pleasantly surprised by the collection of animals in this zoo. I had not heard of PWP before so did not know what to expect. The drive to the park was worth it alone - along a beautiful wooded road and past some lovely scenery. The drive in to the park takes you past a large children's play area so we did wonder then whether PWP was more geared towards small children than animals, but we didn't need to worry. There are lots of children's play areas - I would have loved these as a child, but the animal part really was a pleasant surprise.

PWP does not appear to be that large, but they have an excellent selection of animals here - far more than I was expecting. I certainly was not expecting the white lions which were beautiful. I have visited the West Midlands Safari Park several times and seen the white lions there, but had not realised there were any others in the UK, but here they were. The park also has cheetahs, tigers (including a stunning white tiger), two snow leopards, an African leopard, ocelot and jaguar (although the jaguar was asleep when we were there and we could only see its back when we did eventually find it after much searching!) I recommend a cup of tea in the Tiger Treetops coffee retreat which overlooks the tiger enclosure - great view!

We particularly liked the number of elevated walkways around the park as these gave a great view of the enclosures. I'm sure climbing up and down these was good exercise as well! We would recommend visiting PWP - adults can definitely enjoy it as much as children!

We visited paradise wildlife park on a nice and sunny day (2 families with toddlers). The park has plenty of animals to see for those who love zoos.

The food options for children are limited so best to pack your lunch if visiting with young children. Play areas for children are nice but the train ride and some other attractions are not paid-for in the ticket.

Soft play area for children is very nice and our son had a great time in it.

Though there is a lot on offer, there are other places that provide the same and offer better value for money.

This place is really worth visiting if you can buy the tickets using tesco vouchers are it quadruples the value of your vouchers.

Visited the park with my grandchildren as I had bought them a 'Meet the Meerkats' experience for Christmas (via Red Letter Days). The children thoroughly enjoyed their time feeding and playing with the meerkats, although they (and I, given the cost) were a bit disappointed at the amount of time they spent with them. Given the age limit (over 10 years) they were expecting to get some in depth information and the opportunity to help out more in the enclosure.

However, we did enjoy the rest of the day. Although the park does not have a huge collection of animals, those they have seem to be well cared for and in large enclosures, with really good viewing areas. The park does seem to aim itself at a fairly young age-group and most of the play equipment seemed to be for very young children.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that the park provided tables for eating our own picnic and, in fact, most people seemed to have brought along their own food? Most attractions like this seem to regard visitors as a captive audience and don't allow picnics to be brought in. We found a couple of activities for which there was an extra charge but there was plenty to do without having to choose them.

Fun for kids of all ages. My 4 vary between 3 and 14 and all had a throughly enjoyable day out. So much to see and do. Not only can you get up close and personal with some amazing animals, weather dependant you have both an indoor and out door play centre. I shall most definitely be returning in the summer so my children can also enjoy the other added bonus of the paddling pool area. Well worth the money! Well worth a visit.

This park is relatively big and bursting with large variety of animals! We couldn't fit everything in within the day although we did turn up at 12:30.

The animals looked as if they were well looked after. The big cats were a great hit with our three year old! The most memorable moment was when the lion aimed his behind at visitors and sprayed / fired his wee on them! Payback for enclosure? Much hilarity and screeches from the visitors.

There is lots for children to do including face painting, slides, bounces castles, Krazy golf etc etc. Just have a look at the map which is available online.

When we visited, it was the Saturday of the Easter break and the park was busy.

We read from previous reviews that the food might not be great, so we pre-packed snacks. It was great that we were always never too far from a picnic bench so we could sit and have a feed.

When you go, try to park within the attraction and not in the overspill across the road otherwise you risk crossing a Country road with little ones.

This attraction is on our doorstep and we didn't venture here until this attraction was brought to our attention via amazon which had an offer on the tickets. When we saw the half price sale, we quickly bought enough for 2 day trips as the expiry date was for more than a year. Had we not come across the tickets, I'm unsure whether we would have gone, as tickets on the door can add up if you're a family. For the price we paid, we think it was extremely good value for money. If we had the full cost to pay, then we might have spent it at a more famous attraction further away. But then, that might just be "not a tourist in your own neighbour" mentality.

Great family day out!!!

Just got back from a day at the park and I must say we all enjoyed it very much.

Would return but have to say I would not pay the full gate price as just to get in today it would have cost around £80 for 4 of us but luckily we had Tesco tokens which reduced the price to £20.

Just spent a day here with our 3 and 8 year olds. Great because of the proximity to the animals and if your child is a fan of the big cars like ours is, then it's fantastic! However, park is not big and animals are kept in small enclosures. Pack your lunch as the food at the park is awful!

We have been here a few times over the years and every time I have been there they have built or started something new, the Animals are well looked after, and they do a lot for the breading programs.
There is a mixture of things for all ages to do, with a café and places to get ice creams and drinks,
you can buy rabbit food to feed some of the animals, in the summer there is a paddling pool were you can take a picnic and also a indoor play centre, you can have a fun full day here.

Travelled 480 miles to visit Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday and had a fantastic day. The park is quite compact but has a lot of animals and attractions. Easily took all day to see and do everything available. For an extra charge you can even hand feed one of their big cats. I fed raw meat to a Tiger and it was an awesome experience - one I'll never forget. (Experience needs to be booked in advance).. Where else can you get to do that??
Staff/Keepers were very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Keeper talks throughout the day were very interesting but the thing that really struck me was how close you could get to the animals. There were even some that you could touch or feed with food bought from the park priced at only £1 per bag. There were also bird shows and children's shows going on throughout the day and children's entertainment on a large stage too. Large play areas with swings, bouncy castles, a paddling pool and a train ride through the woods will keep even the youngest of visitors amused. There's also an indoor soft play area and a speedway museum if the animals are not enough...
In summary, Paradise Wildlife Park IS ACTUALLY PARADISE in my humble opinion. Visit with confidence - you'll be glad that you did.

Been here twice now. It is fabulous. Not very big but enough to keep you entertained for 3/4 hours. You get very close to the animals and there are lots of shows and interactive activities. Food is a bit pricy so bring a picnic as there are lots of areas to eat. I would highly recommend this place.

I bought a meet the meerkat experience for two for my partner and I. We had to be there for 3.15 but we got there at 12.30 to make the most of the free admission to the park that was included in our deal.

The park isn't that big but I am comparing it to Cotswold Wildlife park which is bigger. There are two side to the park with one side being more of an adventure play park for children. The other side has a wide range of exotic animals that are entertaining and beautiful. You are provided with a map and although it's not entirely accurate there are pointer signs around the park.

There are a few take way stands and a big diner. I chose to go in the tree top cafe which is like a tree house for sandwich, cake and coffee and there is a huge window looking into tiger enclosure. Expensive for food as you would expect but freshly made. You will need to pay by cash though. But there is a cash point in the diner.

The meerkat experience was brilliant. We met a family in a private enclosure with just us and the zoo keeper and we sat down on logs feeding them. When the food was gone they then climbed up on us and were squeaking in our ears. They loved my gilet and burrowed into and went to sleep.

Amy the keeper answered all our questions and was enthusiastic although she probably does this everyday. She kindly used my phone to take a lot of pictures.

Car parking is very good.

I visited the park with my niece and two nephews, aged 3,12,13years, they all had a great day with lots to keep them amused, after seeing all the animals, their favourites being the emu's. And seeing the snow leopards being hand fed,We went over to the play park, it made a change not to be ripped off with extra charges to use bouncy castles and adventure park, we paid £1 to travel on the train ride which we found very reasonable, then even better the children found tumble jungle and that was all part of the admission price, here is where I enjoyed a rest with a cup of coffee while they enjoyed more play, all in all a great day out, will defiantly returning

I booked the wolf experience for my husbands birthday and was lucky enough to be able to join him. You arrive before the park opens and are welcomed with coffee and biscuits. You then meet the keepers who talk you through the experience before taking you into the enclosure with the 3 younger wolves. They come up to you and sniff your clothes and play - amazing experience. after about 40 mins we came out and then fed them with their breakfast. Their keepers are really experienced and know so much about the animals.
the park is lovely with lots of animals to see and you get up close with them. The enclosures have lots of glass viewing areas and places to climb to get a really good view of the animals. all the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. A great day out - lots for younger children to see and do as well.

We decided to splash out for our daughters 9th birthday party and took her, her sister and 4 friends to the zoo and decided to stay overnight as well. We arrived a little after lunch. The park was very quiet as most schools were still in operation. We were welcomed at the Discovery Centre and given our VIP bracelets. The zebra suite had two bedrooms and two sofa beds so perfect for us. We then went and explored. The safari themed crazy golf was one of the best we have done. The kids played on some equipment, went on the mini train, fed some animals and as it got cold went in the indoor play area. The staff were really friendly. As part of the package you get free animal feed, golf, train rides, breakfast in the treetops, juice and biscuits and a session with an animal keeper the next day. In the evening there were no cars in the park. there is no one there at night which is a bit strange and there is a microwave but we ordered a great indian from mangoes nearby. the park provide details.
The next day we went and had breakfast in the treetops cafe which is a wooden lodge high up overlooking the tigers. You could see them up close which was great. our keeper then met us and the kids got to hold a dragon lizard, a snake and finally feed lorakeets with nectar. a couple of the kids didn't want birds on their heads so they stayed back. we found out some interesting facts about the animals as well.
Everything in the park is compact so you can see everything in a few hours and the kids went round again. All the staff were friendly and we had a great time. thanks everyone my daughter said it was the best birthday party ever !

I visited on a Monday using a Groupon voucher (£8 - very good value). I definitely would recommend going on a weekday as it's quieter, though still fairly busy. Don't be put off by the first bit after the entrance, which seems a little like a run-down kid's adventure playground (though there is work going on at the moment) - once you get into the Animal Park itself, it's a lovely, small-ish wildlife park, though there is still plenty to see. The jewel in their crown is definitely their collection of big cats. Their White Tiger, Baikal, is gorgeous (and knows it!). The Sumatran Tigers can be viewed really close up through glass and from the cafe by the enclosures. The White Lions can also be viewed really well from the walkways. I also loved the Asian Short-Clawed Otters and the Red Pandas (so cute!). They have a Red Panda family at the moment - mum, dad and two cubs, but as they are normally solitary, they will be split up later in the year, so make sure you visit in the next few months if you want to see them as a family.

I would definitely like to return, and see the bits that I missed this time, such as the Wolves. The map they give you isn't that accurate, and just gives you a rough guide to where the animals are. All in all, I spent a very pleasant few hours here, once I got my bearings. The staff were friendly, and knew their stuff.

We visited here on 1st April on a special offer - there are usually lots of offers around so search before you as it can be quite expensive. It's a fantastic day out for all ages - including adults! There were 6 adults, 1 3 year old, 1 2 year old and a 1 year old. We all enjoyed it, so much to do here from the animals, racing cars, to indoor soft play to the outdoor paddling pool. My only 1 big gripe is they now have a stage where the animation team perform. This does turn it into a holiday camp & to be honest the park really don't need it. There's so much to keep the children amused they just don't need it and makes me cringe. The gates to get out are abit odd too.

We had our wedding reception here nearly 5 years ago in a fab marquee so it caters for parties too. Take a picnic to save money & there's lots of benches/grass to sit on.
