Visited Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday, 4 adults and my 2.5 yr old daughter, and we all had a really good day. We got there at 10.30 and left about 5 so it was a full on day! The actual animal bit isn't massive but is good, but there's loads of things for the kids.. Adventure playgrounds, bouncy castles etc. great for the younger kids who get a bit bored of the animals after a while! There was a paddling pool too which was great for my daughter to play in at the end of the day to cool off before we headed home.
Didn't eat here as had a picnic, lots of picnic areas.
One of our group had been bought a feed the big cats experience as a birthday gift and he fed the white tiger. He really enjoyed it and we enjoyed watching. Was a great gift.
Well worth a visit, will be going back, it's pretty expensive to get in but it is a full day out so worth the treat now and then!

Just took my girlfriend here for the meerkat experience. She absolutely loved it, stroking and cuddling them as well as feeding them. Very knowledgeable and friendly keeper helped make the experience.

The park itself was small and family/child friendly but had a wide range of animals. Overall a nice day out.

WE went here after seeing an ad , glad we did.
Its quite a small place, almost half of it dedicated to children`s attractions/play areas , but once inside the animal enclosures its a different world !
The animals were very well cared for , all enclosures very clean & all appeared to be very content.
The highlight was watching a keeper feeding a leopard , he stood for at least 5 mins just watching the animal enjoy his food , with a truly happy smile ( this wasn`t a "showfeed! , just a keeper on his own )
We also saw another keeper hand feed 2 snow leopards , he was also obviously enjoying the experience.
Lunch was a sandwich & cuppa at the treetop cafe , looking over the tiger enclosure - perfect !
Altoghter a very nice few hours well spent .

I have visited this park on many occasions over the years, but hadn't been back for the last 3 or 4. I was surprised at the rise in entrance fees - it worked out very expensive. I was also a bit annoyed that there were no operational toilets within the actual wildlife park itself! There were the big ones at the entrance and some over by the 2 cafes, but nothing in the park, they were closed for refurbishment.
Surely, knowing that they were about to refurbish, they could have porta-loo's in or something. Imagine what it's like getting half way round the park with kids and then having to keep finding your way back to the entrance again - really not happy about that.
The park itself seems to somehow have a lot less animals in it. Only one camel and that was way back behind massive stones - you used to be able to stroke the camels.
Unfortunately it was the same for quite a few other animals and, as others have stated, there seemed to be a lot more things you have to pay extra for - panning for gold, mini car things, a pound here and a pound there would really add up to quite an expensive day out, especially with the price of the entrance fee.
I really used to love coming here, but with the awful weather we had that particular day - we were not overly impressed and probably won't come back for a while.
We only went in the first place as we had 2 for 1 tickets from Tesco and it was still expensive for not a lot of animal experience.

I spent a day here with my children and grandchildren, I was astounded at he entrance cost of this attraction, £18 for adults and £15 for children, having paid this cost I was very disappointed to find that on entering the park every other attraction within in had to be paid for.
The train ride, the animal feed, the face painting etc etc etc .
I also felt the enclosures for the animals were far to small and rather shabby, the otters had little more than a paddling pool to swim in, it seemed as if as many animals as possible we're packed in with little regard for there state of health or well being.
The only part of the attraction the grand children really liked we're the bouncy castles and play grounds which we could have found for free.
We did eat in the cafe and had a lovely salad at a fairly reasonable price so not too bad there .

We went as a family of four as the children had Junior keeper experiences which also included full entry for us all to the wildlife park.
The Zoo Keeper Experience was really exciting and informative. We spent the rest of the day in the Wildlife Park and it was a brilliant day by all. Highly recommend

I was worried before I went here as it is a long way from home and I had my two small grandchildren on my own. I shouldn't have done, there was so much to do and see that they were reluctant to come home after the entire day spent on their feet in awe of the well cared for animals, birds etc, most of which they had seen other than in books before! It was a sheer delight to be with them experiencing all of this yet there was still other things to do, playparks, train rides, bouncy castles, helter skelters and mostly free too. Prices for food etc didn't seem extortionate although we did take a picnic and there was plenty of areas to sit and eat. I thoroughly recommend the attraction. My nearly-7 year old granddaughter recommends it as being better than a day at school (she was on an INSET day), praise indeed as she loves her school too. 100% recommended for all ages, wheelchair/disabled friendly too.

Named 'Wildlife Park' implies that the animals have large, open enclosure where they would be exhibiting natural behaviours in they natural habitats. Paradise can only be described as a zoo. All the animals are in smaller than expected cages and although they have clearly tried to enrich their environments they are still caged. In this day and age with attractions such as Longleat and Woburn this style of zoo is outdated and unattractive to me. The keepers who ran the talks were very informative, clearly knowledgable and care deeply for the animals but the site is just too small to offer the animals any quality of life or natural environments. There are lots of play attractions for children, however. More than I have ever seen anywhere; unfortunately on this trip we did not have our children with us (Luckily for us, as the entrance fees are high - £15 for a 2 year old!) The £18 fee for adults was ok if you were spending all day there but we had seen everything in about 2 hours and that included a drinks stop.

The has plenty of attractions for children but unless the entrance charge is reduced by means of Groupon or Tesco one for one it seems expensive at £19 for adults and 317 for children.
The main park toilets are currently under going renovation and there are no replacement portaloos in the main park and you have to go back to the restaurant or car park. This seems very inconvenient for young children and babies and the management make no mention of this on the web site.

We went as a couple on a Groupon deal. First impressions were not great, a bit like a Butlins type amusement park for kids that you have to walk through to get to the animals, but our opinions soon changed.
Yes the animal pens are too small for the big animals as thy are in any zoo. However the emphasis is letting the children get up close, there is a big focus on education and the animals all looked well cared for.
The facilities for families with children are excellent with a lot of free activities including a water pool, various play and picnic areas so you don't have to eat in the outlets. If you have a young family you could easily spend a whole day there for the price.
Very clean with lots of young staff around we saw giving educational talks, entertaining and cleaning.
We had a great time feeding the animals including reindeer (a particular highlight for me!)
All in all very well thought out

Small amount of animals compared to the bigger zoos but felt really up close to the animals....so in some way a better experience!! We used clubcard vouchers to get in as i don't think its worth £19 per adult.
Played crazy golf which was good fun and cheap too!!
Definitely recommend a visit...kids would really enjoy it!

11of us. 4 adults and 5 children and 2 babies. We had the wowcher codes so payed less. Read the reviews and it had a mixed reviews on the place. First it seemed abit boring through the dinosaur walk and that didnt have much to see. Neither the wolf walk. But as the day went on and we croosed over to the animal park. It was fantastic. Evwn tho there arnt as many as the big zoo's it was good enough. Spent a total 6 hours there. In the indoor play area was fun. Had a bit of trouble with some other people who werent very nice. The older staff there was amazing and even got us complimenty tickets for all 11 of us as an apology. I deffo recommend those who have kids to take them here.

We went here on a nice, sunny day. The animals were out, although quite a few sought cover in the shade. It is a small zoo and - if you don't have kids who want to play in every attraction on the non-zoo side of the park - 3 hours is as much as you'll need. We had a groupon voucher; the full price would have been too much for an adult to have a day out.

There were hundreds of small children from many different schools and it made walking round less than pleasurable. Our sat nav brought us on some of the narrowest roads and there were few signs to say where the park was. The animals when we could see them were very good. I do not recollect ever seeing a red panda before and they were adorable. TV has made the meerkats and they do not disappoint. There are lots of other animals but nowhere near as many as at London zoo or Whipsnade.

The food we ate from the burger/hotdog stand was poor, overcooked and very overpriced for what it was.

My tip would be to go in April or May to avoid school trips and take a packed lunch.

Whenever I have seen otters before they have always been hiding and you were lucky to catch them - the same with the lions. Here the otters were running along in a line, following each other and looking like they were enjoying themselves. Although not as active, the white lions were sat on top of a rock two metres away. Another big cat looked as though it was coming right at us - spared by the Perspex. A conservational talk we attended was brilliantly executed by Emma, just the right length with just the right amount of fun. A special treat for the children was feeding the Lorikeets with nectar - the adults seem to get the pecking and poop. We finished up at the playground for a jam packed day.

My girlfriend had booked a surprise visit for me to stay over at the park (which we did in the Tiger Room on the 28th May), and also the feeding the Big Cat experience.

From the moment we arrived we found every single member of staff we encountered to be fantastic, friendly, knowledgable and passionate about the Park and the animals. I understand that the assistance received during the booking and arranging process was phenominal by Carly.

Steve who took me on the experience to feed Rocky was such an incredible individual who made the experience relaxed and truly rewarding. I have always had a passion for Tigers and getting up close to Rocky was something that I will never forget.

After breakfast yesterday morning we were collected by another Steve to get a tour around with another couple that were staying. He took us behind the scenes a little and we had the opportunity to handle some of the smaller creatures - I certainly had never had a skunk on my lap before! Again what a credit he is to the Paradise Wildlife Park.

The animals you have are magnificent and clearly extremely well cared for and loved. Any organisation is only as good as the people in it, and Paradise Wildlife Park certainly has the best people possible. It was incredible to see the animals, but it is the people that made the experience truly memorable.

Thank you to everyone, long may your success continue

Was a very nice little zoo, but that's exactly what it was - a littl zoo. We were there doing an animal experiance which was ok and then spent time in the zoo after. Maybe it was the time of year in which we went. We were two adults also so children would still enjoy it. I would have been disappointed had we paid full price entrance as we only spent a few hours (3 max) there but we didn't mind as we had cheap voucher entry. I wouldn't bother going back but that's also as we had to travel to get there.

I cannot even begin to tell you what a fantastic day we had. We went for the meet the meerkat experience and it was great. I love meerkats and I am biased but it was worth every penny. Had so much time to sit and feed and play with them. They are so curious and friendly. Everyone needs a meerkat kiss and cuddle at least once in their lives! Steve the keeper was also great. It's away from the public in private area and this was really good to be able to just chill out with them. I will definitely do it again. The rest of the park is also really nice and all the animals were lively and happy. Cannot wait to go back and meet the meerkats again and also the Tapirs! Only downside I didn't get to see the sloths but good excuse to go back:) thank you for an amazing experience.

A visit to Paradise Wildlife Park is well worthwhile. The park is compact, easy to get around and they have some interesting animals - staff are friendly and helpful.
So why not exactly Paradise? - for me and it is only a personal opinion - I did not enjoy the mix of animal attractions and 'children's entertainments' - when my kids were smaller it have indeed been Paradise - so go, enjoy and make your own mind up!!

Myself and my daughter had the Meet the Meerkats experience bought for us as a present, our meeting was at 3:30pm but we arrived early and went round the rest of the zoo first.
I was particularly taken by the big cats; the lion, tigers, snow leopards and cheetahs, all looked very healthy and energetic and I was able to get some great (close-up) photos (I will upload a few as soon as I get the chance). The birds of paradise were also lovely to see, a good variety and again all in good health. Other animals there that spring to mind are the camels, zebras, Tapir, red panda, bats and amphibians as well as lots of farm animals. A great build-up to our finale of meeting the Meerkats! The literature that came before our visit said to dress-down and expect the Meerkats to climb on you, I was expecting them to run over our feet and perhaps scamper up and down our legs briefly but they did much more than this. We both fed them from their bowls and by hand and I squatted down on the floor with them, after they had finished eating they were very inquisitive and decided to climb ALL over us, in fact I thought one was going to have to come home with me as he was intent on getting into my jacket. We were with them for at least 30 minutes and the keeper was very friendly and knowledgeable about these and Meerkats in general.
If all this sounds like your thing, I would definitely recommend a visit - dont forget to book an animal experience first, its well worth it!!

Had a package trip to see Tigers. Very informed young lady guided us through the big cat area. Brunch and a tour made a nice present. Nice to hear that as a result the zoo donates 3,000000 a year to wildlife causes. Most zoos today are about conservation.
And this was explained well.
Lots for children but as pensioners we enjoyed it too.

We had groupon vouchers otherwise would have been too expensive.
Park is small enough to do with young children. We were done by 2. Perfect for little ones.
Cafe in the treetops was fab! Eating lunch next to sleeping tigers was something I won't forget!
Some of the park is looking a bit tired but overall a good day out.

A lovely family friendly attraction where you can see all sorts of wild animals including big cats, camels, lemurs, domestic animals and lots more. There's lots to do including a soft play area, bouncy castle, keeper talks, feeding sessions, go karts, and a great playground. Good selection of refreshments available with two restaurants and lots of snack bars. Safe for little ones too as all exits are manned or have child safety gates. A lovely day out.

We've been here twice, to do animal experiences both times.

It's a relatively small zoo for the price, but there is plenty there and it doesn't feel too crowded even when busy; we went on a sunny Saturday in May and happily spent 5+ hours there.

There is a good range of animals and all look well kept. The catering is limited but decent; we ate at the tiger top cafe where they serve freshly made sandwiches - probably one of the best zoo meals we've had!

I did the "tickle a Tapir experience" which sounded a bit odd at first so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed it in the end! They're quite remarkable creatures - gentle giants. Tom the keeper was very knowledgeable & clearly passionate about his work.

Don't forget World Tapir Day - April 27th, people!

PWP, is located with easy access from London via the A10 either by Road or by train via the park-mini-bus facility
We signed up for the breakfast experience, with the staff guide give a minimal health & safety yet ensured the entire audience could hear her with her clarity. The tour started off well with the history of the park & information on the preservation work of the park ~no hard sell at any stage. The animals et al appear to be fit & healthy . Although at times they were encouraged to wake up for a stroll they were never goaded to perform. The Park is large & functional through with raised walkways

Very good wildlife park, but there is room for improvement..
-The breakfast is budget-conscious for example the hot food was mini-boiled eggs
-The Maps are poor, with attention given to graphics over functionality
-The sign-posting s room form improvement, PWP need to step to larger visible signage
-hand-wash facilities should be available & visible at every area where humans come into contact with animals
-I'd love to recommend it as a gift but i don’t see any gift voucher options for purchase
