We went to the museum today as we were saving it for a rainy day when the great outdoors on Exmoor was not quite so inviting. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable on a wide range of history. The exhibits were fascinating and cannot believe we had not visited before. Coupled with that was a superb cup of coffee half way round. The visit gave us a great thirst for more local knowledge and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Very good. We liked the kids activities (puzzles, fancy dress & colouring). Thank you.

We also liked the cafe. The coffee was good and my daughter enjoyed her ice cream.

Interesting information in here about archeological finds in Somerset and the history of the area. Good COVID hygiene . Saw staff regularly cleaning walkways and hand rails. Friendly staff, clean toilets and nice cafe with great hot chocolate and coffee

A decent place to visit. It's a tad dry. Great for those who are really into the history and all that goes with it.

Went on a town tour called Crime and Punishment run by the museum. Totally fascinating and having lived in Taunton I didn't realise what amazing buildings and history it has. I have never before taken the time to look around.

One of my favourite thing about the museum is learning about the rich history of Somerset from the archeological objects in a great building which was once a castle. So cool!
