Some interesting things in here, and a fantastic old building. I could see what they are doing with the curation but my son said he'd like to see more individual exhibits, and maybe be able to touch or interact with them

Very interestingly laid out maintained the steps through the history of the county. Plus the historical anti royalist display was well presented.

A lovely volunteer (if I remember correctly-Sandy) was brilliant as she was both informative and structured the information to keep my children fully engaged. Excellent, we will be back x

Visited on a rainy Saturday during the school holidays, very pleasantly surprised by this wonderful museum and cafe.

Well worth a visit, not too crowded and very well organised by helpful staff. The cafe was great too, best food and drink, freshly made and absolutely delicious.

Very neat and picturesque park. Simply beautiful and a recommended place to unwind. Cafe selling food and drinks further in. We can reccomend the ice cream if that is your thing. Duck food is also available (50p per bag) and plenty of hungry ducks to feed in the river towards the back.

We enjoyed the informal garden. We're disappointed by the formal gardens and the house needing a lot more care.
The forest walk was worth it all the same.

Good place to visit but there was some issues with the online booking as the staff members inside the military museum told me that I would have to book it online to enter inspite of the staff at the entrance having records of our booking ( she was a very friendly lady and 5stars for her). There was a failure of communication between the reception staff and the staff member inside causing us to wait for some time. That being said definitely recommend visiting it . Loved the fossil exhibit
