Pleasant enough, but not as good as previous visits
Very friendly bar staff and reception staff.
The room didn't get cleaned or beds made (2 night stay) only one pack of biscuits for 2 people. Biscuits and tea/coffee/milk not replenished. The mattress was very firm.

Great food and drink before the match, we got in as Wanderers season ticket holders and with match tickets , great pre match food choice of fish n chips , curry , meat pie n chips and a vegan option.

Comfortable but disappointing
I chose a suite on the top floor, the bed was so comfortable the size of the room was perfect for the relaxing evening I booked it for. the staff in bar were young but so polite, so friendly, so helpful. As i was travelling on my own I ordered a bar meal rather than sit in the restaurant and the food was lovely, well cooked and tasty
NO AIR CONDITIONING ANYWHERE IN THE HOTEL Very disappointed we used to stay here a few years, I paid for a suite on the top floor where the windows do not open as the room was designed to be ventilated by air conditioning, had to sleep in my room with 3 desk fans blowing full blast all night as the hotel no longer operates air conditioning. I had a relaxing spa night planned but arrived to find the whole health club has closed down, gutted.

Stayed here overnight after day in Manchester. Reception staff abrupt and not over friendly almost as if everything is a hassle! Bar and restaurant areas of hotel nice enough and modern. Room very outdated and scruffy. Dust on walls and carpet and bathroom needs replacing as quite grotty with lots of mould. Noise from drinkers in bar and in car park went on until 230am. We have stayed in much nicer Premier inns for half the price we paid for this. Wouldn't return.

The room was clean, shower good and the bed comfy. Wouldn't recommend going on a match day though as there are long queues for the bar. The buffet breakfast was OK but they ran out of certain items and didn't intend on making any more.

Only reason to score down was that we chose here to enjoy the facilities but none were in use. I.e. No swimming pool or spa. Very misled when booking.
Great location, close to many shops and train station, plus train was only £7.50 each return to Manchester and that included the tram in Manchester and local buses.
