This is a landscape you have to see, if your visiting the area. As u drive towards the cuckmere river the feast for your eyes starts here. What ever the weather this place is well worth the trek.

Lovely place to visit whatever the season and a really interesting exhibition is on offer too. There is a shop and tea rooms from memory as well as the chance to enjoy the cliffs or the shore and soak in those wonderful views.

I was lucky enough to go during the heat wave week so the sun was shining, it was nice and warm and looked absolutely stunning. It was the first time I had visited and it was well worth it. Beautiful place to go if you like to take photos. The steps take you down onto the beach but unfortunately it was high tide when I went so there was only a tiny bit of beach to walk along. The cafe was lovely for a cream tea sat outside looking along the cliffs. I also went to coastguard cottages and beachy head to get as many views of the cliffs as I could. Parking was ok, small charge at most places but you could pay for just an hour or 2 if not staying for long. I would love to go back with my dogs and walk from one end to the other.

This is an interesting place to spend an hour or so in the winter Although in the summer there is a beach accessible by steps if you do not mind a pebbly beach. It is managed by the National Trust and there is a shop, a restaurant and interesting exhibition about the history and geology of the place. If sea erosion continues at the present rate there will be no buildings left on the site in a hundred years or so.

Beach was beyond cold and Gale force winds but NT cafe welcome respite. Worth it to see the cliffs and for a cake and tea.

Even in April this was worth a visit for the view and rock hopping. The kids loved climbing down the stairs to the beach and looking for crabs in the rocks.

The cliff is crumbling. You cant park anywhere on a weekend so dont bother. Stay away from the edge. This cliff is heading for the sea.

Hiked around the area with my daughter in law. Beautiful place with amazing views. Can't wait to return in July.

Wonderfully impressive - free
- natural spectacular site.
Only need to pay for car park / or free for national trust members (need to scan membership card)
We went on whistle stop visit - but still took in the grandeur of this wonderful site. On a damp grey April afternoon it was 'heaving' with coaches arriving. Would not like to be there peak season!!
Great tea room with free good and very informative visitors centre - this was added bonus. Also second hand book section - always a plus. Base for various different walks inshore & along the coast.
Definitely worth a visit.

Really lovely place to go. Gets so so busy though and parking cost and space can be prohibitive which is a shame

Parked at the top by the heritage centre and national trust, walked down the steps (steep) to the beach below - amazing views for miles around - drove around to seven sisters country park about 2 miles down the hill - parked at the car park on site walked out to the cliffs - flat walk - amazing place - rivers, sea, fishermens cottages, cliff faces, was not busy and noticed served by local buses from Brighton to eastbourne service number 12

Local public house near by - sailing and canoe club - good picnic places - information centre opposite very enjoyable day - time flew by.

This part of the Sussex coastline is evocative and exhilarating. Described on a memorial as the last part of the UK our pilots saw as they flew raids across the channel during the wars, brings an emotional aspect to the visit. The facilities at Birling Gap, a National Trust property, are great and the walk on the South Downs National Park is absolutely lovely.

Was wet and foggy, but still enjoyed it. The rocks are fascinating and one should also walk from the car park up the slope for a great view.

This is a National Trust place and we were able to use our NT card to get free car parking although there are no other charges. There’s a lovely tea shop with fantastic cakes and a gift shop.
However, the scenery steals the show and is utterly spectacular. The white cliffs and crashing sea is very beautiful. You can get down to the shingle beach via some steep steps from the cafe. The tea rooms have a balcony overlooking the sea. Altogether a wonderful place not far from Beach Head.

Plentiful parking. An interesting exhibition about erosion and treasures which can be found on the beach with informative volunteers. The coastline is spectacular. A great place to explore along the shoreline.

Our aim was to get to beachy head but we are national trust members and saw this on the drive down! Free parking as we are members so we parked up ready to explore.

It has all the usual amenities: toilets, visitor centre and cafe.

We headed down to the beach. Gorgeous views and a lovely pebbly beach. The kids loved chasing the waves and throwing the pebbles into the sea.

We went on a day trip from Eastbourne, on a sparkling, sunny and bitingly cold day in February, and were struck by the fabulous white and blue colours, the wild foamy waves, the fossils on the beach, the bracing walks and the majestic cliff views along the coast. The lovely NT shop and cafe are a welcome bonus!

Great place to start a walk along the coast. Metal steps down to the beach right near the car park. Nice cafe with lots of outside tables, and really helpful staff in the information centre. The walk and views along Seven Sisters are amazing.

Such a beautiful spot to walk the seven sisters or go to the beach down the wooden steps and take in the stunning views. Owned by the National Trust car parking is well organised but get there early as parking is limited. The National Trust have refurbished the buildings to a nice cafe and shop selling a range of good quality gifts.
