Great for walks or just an explore. There is a small museum on site with good info. A metal stair case down to beach - as far as I could see the beach is not wheel chair accessible but there are great views from the top of the stairs.

We viewed the coastline at Birling Gap, it was breathtaking. The tea room was disappointing with the national trust trailing new policy of using disposable cups, plates and cutlery.
Staff were plentiful but not very welcoming.

We will not be visiting again

Birling Gap is owned by the National Trust, who have a tearoom above the beach. This is a fabulous spot, the beach accessed by flights of steps (about 70) from the cliff. Great view down the Seven Sisters, which rise up from Birling Gap across to Cuckmere Haven.

Billing Gap is to be found in the Seven Sisters Country Park and on arrival to the site you will find plenty of car parking places and a good café.
The views of the seven sisters from the cliff top is very impressive. To access the beach below you will find a stair case near the café. Standing on the beach looking up at the cliffs are breath taking and l highly recommend a trip here. The national trust look after the site and do they a great job!

We went by car from Eastbourne and didn't know about this hidden gem. It was delightful. A lovely craft shop and tea rooms. The views were quite stunning along the cliffs. A real must to visit.

Standing at the bottom of these cliffs looking up is breath taking. Went to the visitor centre where one of the informed staff members gave us a bit of history and also showed us where they expect the cliff face to be in the future, right slap down the middle of the visitor centre.

Very similar to Beachy Head but still with a short walk along the cliff tops with a nice national trust cafe.

We visited here with our four young children (ages 10, 7, 5 and 2) and our dog. Had a fantastic explore of the beach looking in the rock pools find all sorts of critters and throwing pebbles into the sea. Kids had a great time which was followed up by a drink and cake in the super National Trust cafe at the top of the cliff. We'll definitely becoming back - a lovely visit for all ages.

We walked to Beachy Head and back at Easter. Don't linger at Beachy Head for food, turn around and walk back to Birling Gap to the National Trust cafe. It is nothing fancy but better for a coffee or snack than Beachy Head.

Fantastic walk along cliff tops to Birling Gap then take in the views and atmosphere of the place. Have a drink in the Cafe and then start the enjoyable walk back along the cliffs to Eastbourne.

We stopped off at Birling Gap to take a look at the dramatic scenery of Britain's south coast chalk cliffs - the Seven sisters. Being a National Trust property it is very well run by helpful and friendly staff to guide or help answer your questions.
A place for walkers, hikers and strollers alike. There is access to the beach down steep stairs. Worth going to see the chalk cliffs.

Climb up the hill onto the Seven Sisters. Can be hard work but the view and atmosphere are magical. On a quiet day for tourists the peaceful silence is wonderfully therapeutic. Beware gaggles of walkers who seem to make inordinate amounts of noise talking instead of looking.

Climb down the staircase to the beach and enjoy the view at sea level and sounds of the surf breaking on the shingle. The sound is amplified by the sheer cliff faces.

After all that exercise reward yourself with a good cup of coffee in the National Trust cafe. I'm told the steak pasties are really good. The National Trust shop offers a wide range of items gifts/souvenirs some I had not seen elsewhere. I was tempted to buy too much. There is also a good exhibition about Birling Gap, Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.
Well done National Trust this is a real jewel

Very breezy climbing down steps to beach. Stones large and small to walk along whilst admiring the magnificent white cliffs, and of course The Seven Sisters. Once up on cliff again lovely walk/climb up hill for more views. Beachy Head lighthouse can be seen if you travel far enough in the strong wind. Good NT centre, cafe included.

A lovely National Trust area. You can get down onto the beach so that you are at the base of the cliffs. At low tide there are lovely rock pools and it was lovely seeing families exploring these. I am not sure that this would be a place to swim. There is a lovely little tearoom/ cafe and shop with an art gallery.

Lovely for walks on the downs or down the steps to the beach and views of beach head and the lighthouse
Nice cafe and large car park but the cafe is nothing special.
I think a visit here is for the fit and healthy and not suitable for wheelchairs and choose a nice weather day

A fantastic, beautiful picturesque place. A walk from Birling Gap, in any direction is a must if you are in the area

It is unfortunate that the erosion has caused the Cafe to be perilously close to the cliff face but there are good views and walks for the dogs.

Spent a fantastic day here in the sunshine, really good parking and facilities, although cafe was probably the worst National Trust one I have visited, trialling paper cups and cake choice was awful compared to most NT cafes, that aside the views are amazing and fab walks, will definitely go again

If you want easy access to the seven sisters, this is the place. The parking is very close to the stairs going down. The beach is very nice and you can access the walking trails in the area. Other access points have much longer walks. The cafe at here is a definite plus, especially on the cooler days like the one we visited on. The one thing I will say is that it was a bit overrun with bus traffic on the day we were there. School trips. Watch your trip timing. You can also park along the road to save the parking lot fee.

Of course at this beach you can pass the time with a boys all time favorite: throwing rocks into the sea.

After a walk to Beachy Head and back we spent some time on the amazing pebble beach near high tide. Sitting beneath the cliffs and listening to the intense noise of pebbles being dashed in the waves was a visual and auditory treat. On the practical front parking is £1 an hour (free NT) unless you park on the verges. Toilets are free but it all gets very busy after lunch.

amazing view to the sea.
The smell and the sun made everything even better.
Enjoy the endless view that will make you feel small and makes you think about what what we are doing to our world and nature.
This will recharge your energies to a new high level.
