On the hop on hop bus route , as many others from Eastbourne parking facilities , tea shop, national trust shop , and visitor centre with great views and beach access down stairs from cliff top.
Tea shop good size serving snacks coffee, and teas. Great little shop with really pleasant staff and some unusual gifts .

There is a very interesting and informative visitor centre here. The cliffs have eroded so much in the last 100 years, and that is shown in photos.
Also a lovely little cafe. It does get very busy here, parking can be an issue even in the winter months.
Great place to park and walk the seven sisters, which is about 3miles each way.

I love this place but unfortunately it is only accessible by car.
The views of the cliff are amazing with white foamy waves crashing onto the beach.

An easy way to access the famous white cliffs. It has an atmosphere that relies on your imagination. Imagine what it would have been like to stand there in AD 50 as hundreds of Roman war galleys make their third attempt in a hundreds years to conquer Britain. Or 500 years ago watching hundreds of Massive Spanish warships with 10,000s of troops sail past, driven away by 30 small british ships to their eventual doom by the British weather. Or only 70 years ago you could have stood and watch as 2500 German aircraft flew over, on their way to Bomb London. To have their dreams and aircraft shattered,by a few hundred fighter planes of the RAF.

Did not stop this time as both car park and overflow carparks totally oversubscribed. Very cold at time of visit.

The cliffs and view are beautiful. Be careful if it's a windy day! Best time to go would be in the summer or spring. Beautiful breathtaking views regardless!

Been visiting here for years as live nearby. Great place to visit in a storm or howling gale or equally on nice summers day. Interesting watching the cliff's slowly eroding !
NT have spruced up the hotel and now have shop and visitor centre. Cafe ok but expect a long Q in summer.

The view is amazing. The tea room is a welcome refuge from the wind, and the rain. When you see the power of the sea and the weather as it hits the beach and chalk, it is understandable why the land is being eroded so much.
A lovely place to visit, and if you want to see how it used to look, you must visit the small visitors centre.

Made a quick stop to see and photograph the chalk cliffs. There is a steel framed staircase so that you can safely get down to the pebble beach, it was the perfect point of view to photograph the white cliff face. There were still quite a lot of visitors even though It was a grey and windy November day.

This is a beautiful site with the Seven Sisters cliff alongside. Great to walk on the beach and get close to the cliff faces. Definitely a place to visit when you are in the area.

Wonderful views and scenery , worth a visit , very good parking . Interesting information and gift shop . Tea room has a great view over the cliffs and out to sea . The only thing was the prices in here are very inflated which is a shame because if they charged a lower price I am sure they would would sell more . Sorry that's my opinion as a pensioner on a limited budget .

We lived close to here for fifteen years, and returning whilst on holiday reminds one of the spectacular nature of this location. Access down to the beach is via a purpose-built landing and staircase - not for the faint-hearted. Coastal erosion is in evidence, and the effects can be seen on the ends of the cottages which remain standing. Car parking, and overflow parking is provided. Cafe and accommodation too nearby. Birling Manor is a superb location for Weddings and Corporate functions - ask for Jimmy or Val.

Birling Gap is a wonderful sight. We have lived here all our lives and still wonder at it. There is a very pleasant National Trust Visitor Centre and restaurant near by

A great walk by the sea, or high upon the cliff tops, whichever - or both, it gives a fantastic sense of nature

We arrived on our coach & our lady driver drew down to drop all the people off the bus as they were all elderly & needed sticks to walk.We were met by a National Trust Warden with a dog who shouted & swore at the driver he really upset her as she was helping a few of the people off the bus then was going to back her bus up.We could have understood it if it had been busy, but there was only a school party & 2 cars there anyway!!! He really needs a lesson in manners if he is working with the public & the national trust!!! We didn't want to stay long after that and won't be back again !!!

Good starting point for a walk along the East Sussex Coastline. Westbound to the Seven Sisters and Eastbound to Beachy Head. Good information centre with nice shop and restaurant.

A perfect reward after a good hour walk over the Seven Sisters and a good place to relax and recharge with a few shops and a pub

our visit to this place was on our way to beachy head and we spent most of our time here as it gave us so much more space to ourselves. the surrounding is so big that even though there were so many visitors, it still didn't look a lot and you have all your space and walk until you can.

There will always be a lot of people here on a sunny day, and there is a charge for the car park. Access to the beach is by a metal stairway, and it is a pebbly beach rather than a sandy one. It is not particularly good for swimming. It is however adjacent to the National Trust cafe on top of the cliff.
