Beautiful place, lovely theme ideas for a day out with afternoon tea, friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Only one thing in the bathroom although large enough there was not enough shelving for the everyday cosmetics that both men and women carry, please consider this.

Visited as part of a gathering after a funeral, very well organised and laid out.
Food included a variety of sandwiches and pastries were fresh and good.

Well, not sure how to rate the hotel. Was really surprised that I was able to see only elderly people all around as hotel guests and staff. The hotel itself was old as well, good location tho. Tried bar - beer was as it should be. Based on the environment decided not to try hotels kitchen. Would try to stay in a different hotel next time. However, this was not bad, mediocre id say.

Albergo bellissimo con una vista sulla Manica spettacolare. Siamo stati in questo albergo per il matrimonio di nostra figlia. Organizzazione gentilezza capacità organizzative hanno costituito l'amalgama per un matrimonio spettacolare. Gli invitati si sono tutti complimentati per l'organizzazione e il cibo. Le stanze spaziose e affacciavano sulla Manica. Ottima pulizia.

My partner and I love this old hotel. We stayed for one night in one their east-facing side bedrooms in December 2019. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The sound insulation on the windows was excellent. Breakfast was of a high standard and the service was really good. The only gripe I have is that the dinner we had in the evening was served in the conservatory, due to a wedding reception. The ambiance just wasn’t there. I won’t mark the hotel down a star for that though. I called down from our room to reception for some guidance about the tv and was treated to a snotty receptionist. Apart from those two glitches, it was a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again.

Today’s lunch was in the crystal restaurant was first class.
It’s our favourite place in Eastbourne for quality in elegant surroundings with excellent service the set lunch is very good value.

We were here again three years later for another funeral tea for the same family - the deceased couple were very well known to you.
The tea was delicious with a variety of sandwiches, the most gorgeous sausage rolls and cream cakes. We were all well looked after by the staff on duty and who were always courteous and helpful

Superb venue great food and good old fashioned service. This is the perfect place to entertain mum, your aging aunt or have a family gathering. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is freshly prepared tasty and moreish.
