We were lucky enough to get an early table on a Friday night without booking but as we left around 7.30pm the restaurant was really filling up. The staff were very attentive and a visit from the manager to ask if we were enjoying our meal was very nice. The menu as a great selection and also a good choice of set menus of two or three courses for a set price. Two course for £18.85 I think. Will definitely go back but will book next time just in case.

You are assured of a very warm welcome and the staff are delightful.
The menu is varied with a good choice of starters and mains, Italian and English. All the dishes are beautifully presented and served promptly and hot.
The lamb cultets are especially good and served with an individual dish of vegetables .
I have dined here many times, midweek and weekends and have never been disappointed with any aspect.
I will certainly be returning many more times.

Four of us visited this restaurant again for a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. The choice and standard of food is wonderful and the the staff are excellent. The menu is so varied that you are never lost for choice and all dishes are presented and taste devine.
The best Italian restaurant by far in Eastbourne, and after a recent visit to Venice as good as the best. Will continue to go here again whenever possible and would recommend to everyone.

One of my regulars when I take visitors and family there for dinner. Also a 10 per cent discount with the voucher on theatre tickets. Food is good with some specials. Often give a complimentary drink after dinner. Great staff very helpful. Varied menu Italian and uk. Brilliant pasta steak and fish.

We have dined here on many occasions for lunch or evening meals and have never been disappointed. The service is first class and the choice of menu excellent. Their Italian dishes are as good as you will find in Italy itself. And to top it all the cost is very reasonable for the standard of restaurant this is. In Eastbourne this restaurant is our favourite.

On Saturday evening, we visited this restaurant for a family birthday celebration. From the moment we entered, we were made to feel special by all the staff even though it was very busy. All the food was enjoyed by everyone, especially the steak, which was delicious. At the end of the evening, the staff surprised us all by bringing a candle-lit cake and singing Happy Birthday. The food and atmosphere made it an evening to remember.

Since visiting for lunch today thought that I would look at the reviews saw some terrible feedback. They must be mad! They said service was bad - wrong service today was excellent! Food not good. Wrong food was excellent party of 4 all of us were delighted with the food (all had different dishes starter & main) I will go back soon as I have realised it is only about 600 yards from the station so can have a nice drink as well! Offered complimentary drinks at the end of the meal. Also they do lunch time specials will also take the opportunity to sample. Food great service great not cheap but not overly expensive.

Again we ate here based on reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. The food and atmosphere in the restaurant were both first rate. Our starters and main meals were both perfectly cooked and arrived extremely promptly.
I read an earlier review which complained about the service. I couldn't disagree more, we found the service to be spot on - efficient, polite and extremely professional. The restaurant was full we we arrived an remained so all evening (always a good sign!) so it would probably be a good idea to book in advance.

We ate at this restaurant on a Tuesday evening and were surprised at how busy it was ( always a good sign I think ).
The staff were very friendly and also very helpful as my Italian pronunciation is not very good to say the least. The menu was excellent , with a wide selection of popular Italian dishes and a specials board which consisted of some not so well known dishes and the chefs specials.

It was recommended to us by our local hosts and how glad we were that we took their advise. Italian restaurants are often quite similar in standard but this really was a class above.
The portions were large and the quality was first rate. My calves liver was some of the best ever tasted.It was busy but the two waitresses and one waiter provided a first class service. The rates were extremely reasonable particularly considering the standard of food and service.

We were going to the theatre and the La Laconda was on the way and very pleased we were that it was.
The ambiance was great just like being in Italy but too cold to siit outside We were conducted to a table at the rear which was under a glass skylight so in the sun, great. The waiters were very attentive and very affable. The tables were very well laid out with sparkling cutlery and glasses on a brilliant white table cloth plus the servietes were a very large size and amazing plum colour.The drinks arrived and were of excellent quallity. The starters are a sight to behold and to taste they are perfection itself and just the right amount. The mains were just as good the whole meal being really enjoyed and certainly well worth the money although I must point out not expensive. We will certainly be going back there again in the not too distant future.

We took mum here to celebrate her 70th birthday. We were a party of 13 including children. The whole experience was amazing. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The menu is very varied with lots of great choices. The prices are great. It was busy when we were there so it may be advisable to book. I have been recommending the restaurant to everyone. I will definitely be back soon. Thank you everyone at La Locanda Del Duca for making mums birthday such a special day.

This restaurant is handily located less than 10 minutes walk from Eastbourne's theatres. We decided to eat here partly because of this and partly because of good reviews by other Trip Advisor contributors. We were not disappointed as it turned out to be one of the best meals that my wife and I have ever eaten. The seasoning of our main courses was just right, the vegetables cooked to perfection and the deserts were sheer bliss, I have never seen so much chocolate on a plate of profiteroles. Add to this good attentive but not intrusive service and all in all we were very happy customers.

Really good authentic Italian food - there's a pizza place next door if that's what you want, but for the real stuff go here! Friendly and attentive staff, they even sang happy birthday to my stepson when they brought out the dessert :-). I can highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Arguably the best Italian restaurant in Eastbourne, the Locanda offers a wide ranging menu of delicacies, with both typical Italian specialities combined with other dishes from less traditional cuisines. A real treat as the very attentive service will make your dining experience there quite remarkable and something to remember and retry when you happen to be in town. Strongly recommended!

A warm welcome and friendly service when we recently enjoyed dinner here after a matinee at the Devonshire Park theatre. We were surprised to find the ladies we sat next to in the theatre were also here seated at a neighbouring table, and as regular diners they introduced us to Luca.
Our 3 courses were all delicious , freshly cooked and rivalled any food we ate whilst in Italy..so we will certainly return on our next visit

The restaurant was recommended to us by our hosts at the b&b where we were staying and we ate here in the evening of the 11th March.Our high expectations were exceeded,so much so,that we returned the following evening! The warm welcome and service from different staff on each of the evenings was first class and the atmosphere delightful.It was good to see the owner spending time with all his guests ensuring that everying was to their satisfaction.In total over the two evenings we had four different starters,mains and desserts and without exception all were excellent.Would strongly recommend this restaurant. Visiting again later this week!

Good choice from large menu to suit most palates and pockets. Not the cheapest choice in Eastbourne but the standard is high. For special lunch with friends and relatives this restaurant delivers. Pasta meat and fish dishes from basic Italian with a twist to some very well thought through and executed fine dining options. A good restaurant near to the theatres for those who wish to combine these activities!
