Very interesting piece of history, as is the whole coast line. Lots of information and interesting to learn the part it played in the second world war.

A good example of the site and fortifications can be used through time (Roman to WW2)
Take advantage of the audio guide to get the most out of your visit.
Children's guide and trail are available.

We stopped off on our journey home and were not disappointed. The Audio Tour is a must as it brings the castle alive and is very informative. The lady in the reception area was very helpful and answered questions for us.

Stopped off here after staying in Hastings overnight. Great sunny day for an explore.
The lady sling tickets was very informative and helpful. Self guided audio tour included in price was brilliant. The grounds are kept so well and was a lovely area to explore. Lots of little touches, like telephone ringing in the war room explaining what happened.
Brilliant visit

Have visited this place a number of times over the years, mainly due to childhood memories of holidays spent at nearby Pevensey Bay... A lot of history here, and a great deal of access, although this is significantly reduced for wheelchairs, due to the nature of the site architecture, unfortunately... Fantastic views to be had if the weather is in your favour, and this is to be kept in mind when you visit, as a lot of the site is outside, not under cover...👍👍👍

Friendly staff and some interesting history/ exhibits, but pricey for its size / duration you'll likely spend there. Recommended if you're a member, but not great value if you're going to pay full price.
