Had a chicken satay starter, was very tasty but very small portion. Meanwhile I was disappointed in the curry, thin slices of slightly tough/pinkish looking beef, the sauce was very thin. It tasted okay, but certainly not the consistency I was hoping for. Good location, friendly service. Maybe if I'd tried a different curry or one of the stir fry dishes I would have had a better experience. Decent value for money overall.

Popped in without a reservation on a Sunday evening, place was about half full. The staff are really nice and the music is not the usual Thai musak. As for the food, it was neither good nor bad, just average. I had a mussaman curry which was hot but without the flavour of all the other spices. On the whole disappointing but not enough to complain about.

Went there for a meal before going to the theatre. Opted for the special offer of 2 course meal and a glass of wine. My wife had fish cakes to start and I had wontons. Both were not home made but from the wholesalers. I then had Singapore noodles and my wife had a chicken dish. Both were a bit lacking in flavour and were more like Chinese food. Lacking in chilli flavour or rich sauces. For £12.95 it was not bad but certainly not the best. We would not rush there again but would go if in the area.

It was a wet and windy night in the height of a typical British Summer :). We were walking back to our hotel when the bolted into the Sabaidee for shelter. It was warm, dry and welcoming. I have to say that we are not Thai experts but the staff/owner? could not have been more helpful in helping those of us inexperienced in Thai food. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience of food and excellent service. One of our party, a Thai newbie, has already sought out a local restaurant to continue her learning experience.

Chicken Satay where very tender and lovely Sauce. Prawns had too much pastry. Thai fish salad was very tasty and the stir fry brocolli with beef was taszy but the beef not so tender. Staff very friendly. Will go again and try some other dishes.

We recently had a Saturday evening meal at this restaurant and had booked in advance. Small restaurant but very busy with a great atmosphere.
The two course set menu was enough for us as the portions were a good size.Excellent service and quality food. Would definitely use this restaurant if we visit Eastbourne again.

We opted for a two course set lunch which included a glass of wine. It was beautifully presented, freshly cooked, offered good value and was delicious. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean and welcoming.

Visited while in Eastbourne and was very pleased. Very nice restaurant, attentive staff who take an interest in what you like. Decorated very well, looks very inviting. Good menu with lots of choice.
Food was presented very well, very tasty and large portions. They were concerned I had not eaten enough but there was just so much. The waitress loves making cocktails so if you like them indulge her. Can't help in pudding as we didn't have the room.
If you stay on seafront it is within walking distance and great to walk your dinner off.

We arrived about 10pm and were welcomed by very nice staff. We ordered starters and mains and asked for it to be brought together. The portions were massive and we had ordered far too much for 2 people The food was really fantastic couldn't fault it. Was one of the best Thai meals I had ever had. Definitely worth a visit.

Welcoming staff, varied menu and fresh well presented ingredients. Was disappointed not to be presented with complimentary prawn crackers and chilli sauce whilst awaiting food as is customary at other Thai restaurants we visit. Was recommended by our hotel nearby.

We arrived around 6.30pm without a reservation and the staff looked a bit perplexed but eventually found us a table (the place was packed). My wife is Thai and likes to visit Thai restaurants whenever we go away in the UK. This is my review not my wife's so pls bear in mind. The restaurant had a good ambience about it and it was rocking (without the music) so to speak. There were couples, groups across most age groups all engaged in conversation and all thoroughly enjoying themselves. It is also a take away and people wanting take away have to walk the length of the restaurant up several stairs so that was a bit of a strange layout. Our starters came pretty quickly as did many tables. It was pretty standard Thai food for starters chicken satay and duck spring rolls. For our mains I chose strips of sirloin beef with chilli sauce and special fried rice and it was absolutely gorgeous. My wife had asked the waitress to ask the chef to cook her request as you would for a thai person not for a western palate. She was disappointed as it was not spicy enough for her. During all this time there must have been a dozen or so people who were turned away as there was no room and they had not reserved a table. We had a couple of drinks with our meal and it came to abotu £65.00 for the two of us which included prawn crackers for the little un. As we left around 8.15 a party of 30 people were about to come in.... There is no doubt that this place ranks high within the Eastbourne area not only with the locals but people visiting the area as well who like Thai food. It is located in a small road where there are 6 or 7 restaurants all serving different types of food, so if Thai is not your thing then maybe one of the other ones would suit both your wallet and pallet. I would have no issue visiting the restaurant again if I was ever in the area.

A nice surprise. A quaint restaurant down a little lane. Extremely welcoming. A good selection of traditional Thai food, very tasty. The service was excellent. Worth a drive from Tunbridge Wells. Definitely a favourite.

Found this quant little Thai restaurant today which was completely empty but we decided to go in anyways and give it a try. Before we knew it, beautifully presented food was in front of us, the aroma was hypnotic and once in our months, we were completely transported to Thailand! Absolutely amazing flavours! Will be back, will bring friends and fill this restaurant up to its full potential

After watching Eastbourne Carnival, we called in on the off chance to see if they had a table.
(The number of tables with reserve on them was a good sign, to what was to come)After a very warm welcome and recommendations, we made our choice for starter & main.
The food arrived very nicely presented and the flavours just wonderful. We both had a banana split for dessert this was one of the best we have had in a long time, and presented in away that was new to me. We will definitely be back, for more delights.

Me and my girlfriend had 1 hour to eat before catching a show at the nearby theatre. We had left things a little late, so explained this to the waiter when entering. I thought we were pushing things to be fair, but he said it wasn't a problem. This restaurant serves great food and is a great place to savor your meal in a leisurely way. We didn't have a lot of time though, and I really wanted to eat there.
The waiter was true to his word and helped us throughout the meal. He was attentive without rushing us. He offered us advice about our choices (which these days is not that common). The food was great and we were sat in the theatre 60 minutes later. Fantastic!

We had steamed sea bass steamed rice and a "jungle" prawn curry which said was extra hot but we found it tasty but not that hot and a bit like a soup. All the food is fresh beautifully presented and very tasty. Service very good even though they were very busy.

The vast and authentic menu will delight Thai food lovers. For those who are unsure, a chat with the charming and professional staff will lead you to interesting tastes....my sateh with its Sabaidee sauce was perfect, the simple main dish Gaeng Massaman with its mix of chicken, potatoes, onions and carrots in coconut milk and with a mild curry flavour was ultra perfect.....next time I will be more adventurous but perhaps not?
Thai cooks and staff....mainly in traditional dress...and the authentic decorations add to the experience. A clean and tidy and colurful restaurant...well worth finding.

Visited here with my brother-in-law, who is married to a Thai, so we are very well versed in traditional Thai dishes. The food was to a very high standard, with great service throughout and very reasonably priced. I have no hesitation in recommended a visit if you enjoy authentic Thai food.

Decided to skip hotel dinner and treat myself to a Weeping Tiger, possibly best decision made all week.

Food was superb and if in Eastbourne again will visit.

Give it a try!

We enjoyed the ambience and the service was very attentive. Food very good and we thought the prices were very fair. Good staff and plenty of customers who also enjoyed their evening. Also music in the background which made it very pleasant. Would love to visit again when we are in Eastbourne.

I stumbled in here with aching feet from a day of walking and was delighted by the cosy atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. I picked my old faves of Tom Ka soup and a green chicken curry and I don't think I've had better anywhere. This was a really great find.
