Me and my hubby came to this restaurant during a weekend break in Eastbourne.
This restaurant is located down a street just off the seas front. The food is outstanding! We ordered a mixture of dishes - the duck curry in particular is delicious!
The choice and presentation of the food was outstanding. The restaurant has a nice cosy atmosphere, it isn't like a big chain inside.
The waiting staff were so lovely and kind - the service was amazing and they really looked after us and kept checking if we needed anything. If you visit Eastbourne then you should definitely try the Thai food at this restaurant.

We have eaten at the restaurant three times in the last 4 months, and I cannot really fault it.

The food has been excellent and prices are fair.

This is an excellent Thai restaurant! For starters, the Chicken Sateh was so succulent and delicious I could have eaten it all night and the Tom Yum Soup was wonderfully flavoured and with a generous number of huge, juicy prawns. Green Chicken Curry and Jungle Curry were both excellent too. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with lots of deep red and elephant designs. Service was perfect and friendly throughout.

5 Stars all the way. The red duck curry was sensational. Hope to be back there soon, might even make the trip from London!!!

We stumbled across this restaurant after the airshow and we were so glad we did.
The food was perfect and the service was spot on, the staff even took the time to let the three children in our party order their own food & drinks (without it looking like it was too much trouble!)110% would recommend. Can't wait to return.

Have eaten here once for lunch before - it was ok, but nothing special. Only got a takeaway this time, and staff weren't welcoming even though there was only 1 occupied table. Food was very good, well wrapped and hot, but I would have expected - even a small - discount on the full restaurant prices for takeaway - but perhaps that's old fashioned?

Staff were friendly and extremely efficient.

We ordered the beer beef, tamarind duck and green curry, with coconut rice. All were beautifully presented and totally delicious.

Had the Royal Pot and waffles for dessert which were also scrummy!

Can't recommend Sabaidee enough!

5 of us ate here on a Friday night, having booked a table. It was very busy, but our order was taken quickly. 45 minutes later, we were still waiting for our starters. The waitress came over and said they had given our starters to another table by mistake, and the customers ate our starters. I do not believe this story, and they would have been better just telling us that they had forgotten about our order.
Once the food started to arrive, it was really good and we finally started to enjoy the evening. We all agreed that the food was excellent, with the service slightly suspect. If they had apologised for their mistake and told us the truth, we would have respected them more. A couple of drinks on the house to apologise for keeping us waiting for 45 minutes would have helped, but nothing like that was offered.
Great food, shame about the service!

I have spent the last few months working in Eastbourne and was looking for somewhere to get take away for dinner when I found the Sabaidee Thai Restaurant a short distance from my hotel. Now I am a regular customer eating there once or twice a week. Every dish I tried was very good. the girls working the front were helpful and friendly. With Good Food and Cheery Customer service they have a great combination.
I will surely miss them when I go back to the states

We enjoyed our evening meal here; the decor is chic, the service is efficient and very quick; the food is good, copious and well presented, but not outstanding. As always in England, expensive by comparison with other EU countries.

My arrival in Eastbourne for a three night business stay was late and therefore I didn't get to Sabaidee much before 10pm. None-the-less the restaurant was open and the staff (and chef) willing to serve. That said, I wasn't the only customer at this hour.
I chose the mushroom Tom Yum soup which was more spicy than my regular Thai restaurant but as someone who enjoys spice there was nothing wrong with that!
I had the Pad Thai noodles with king prawns for main but of note was the service between the main courses...
Clearly I had walked in too late for the chef's liking as, before I had finished my Tom Yum soup, the waitress came up to me suggesting I'd like my main. This was a big mistake.
It was obvious the chef had suggested the waitress approach me with the idea I'd like my noodles before I'd finished my soup. He just wanted to clear up and go home. If that were the case, I should have been told they were closed before I was welcomed in.
On this basis alone, Sabaidee Thai lose one of the five TripAdvisor 'blobs' for poor service: If you accept a diner through your door to eat at 10pm, treat them as you would at 8pm.

We went to the Sabaidee Thai Restaurant for the first time last weekend for a friends birthday. The atmosphere was cosy without being cramped, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, they even advised us on menu choices for a fussy eater! Despite the restaurant being full the service was prompt and the food truly amazing, even though we asked for special orders! When they discovered that it was a birthday treat they even supplied free birthday cake! This restaurant not only serves amazing food but is also very reasonably priced to suit every budget. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant, without doubt the best we have visited in a long while.

My husband and I have just had a very nice meal at this restaurant. Of particular note the "weeping tiger" was delicious (we've had it in a couple of other places that we couldn't even eat!) and the chicken with cashew nuts was beautiful.
The decor is tasteful and the three waiting staff that were here tonight were all extremely pleasant. We will definitely be back.

We have spent a lot of time staying just around the corner to the Sabaidee Thai Restaurant and I was pretty certain I was going to move in!
I love the very traditional and very tastey food in this restaurant. The staff are very helpful, I have seen them giving advice to newcommers to Thai food.
The restaurant has a very warm, welcoming vibe and I can recommend eating here.
This is a good restuarant to try before going to the local theatre. Parking is quite easy and if you are lucky you may even get to park opposite Sabaidee Thai Restaurant.

2 adults, 1 grown child. Total £45 for 1 starter, 3 main courses + rice, apple juice, large (750ml) sparkling bottle of water. The restaurant was at full capacity but the 3 waitresses managed quite well to serve punctually. The starter - crab cakes, was quite authentic. The two mains - 47. Gai Yang Sabaidee were a little tough under the teeth but had a pleasant flavour and good seasoning. The other main - 28 Beef Pa Naeng, was tepid when served but otherwise well presented, however, was unexpectedly too mild. An OK experience. We eat out on an average 4 times a months at various locations/styles/price range.

Went in without a booking but were given a table within 5 mins. Good menu, quick service, lovely food and a nice ambiance to the place.

Delicious Thai food. We ordered the mixed shared starters, green chicken curry, stir-fry seasonal veg, Singapore noodles and jasmin rice - scrummy! Although we (a pair of greedy food-lovers) were full, I couldn't resist a pudding and opted for the banana fritters (reluctantly shared) ... what a treat - the best ever. Although the food is excellent, Sabaidee is a fairly small restaurant and our table for two (with only just sufficient room for serving dishes, glasses and drinks) was sandwiched so close to our fellow-diners, it was impossible to hold a private coversation .... but we did enjoy eaves-dropping! The service was efficient though a little more time between courses wouldn't have gone amiss. Having stumbled upon this deservedly busy and popular restaurant, it's advised to book in advance and remember to leave room for the dessert!

On a quiet Tuesday evening after Easter the place was less than half full. The choice is extensive and our waiter was very helpful as we made our choices from the menu. Food was nicely served and presented and very much to our liking; all round a good experience.

Come here quite often when in Eastbourne (3times in the last 2weeks) as the service is great, really friendly and overall the food is excellent. The menu offers a great variety, suitable for different tastes. The curries are mouthwatering.
Its in a quieter side of town, on busy weekend such as the Easter Holidays it is not too crowded. As it is near the theatre, it does get busy pre-show so going early or later, unless you book.
